I just turned 51. My mom, on active duty (USAF) got pregnant after being married to my father for 2 yrs. However, the military gave my mom, and many other moms 2 choices: get out or have an abortion. This was before Roe v Wade & in South Carolina, where I was born. My mother was one of the first 10 women to be able to fight to stay in the military after having a child. Multiple women before her, and after her were forced to get an abortion in order to stay in the military. I have several friends who got pregnant while they were in the military and were recommended to get an abortion. So it is false that the military has never pushed for women to get abortions. Another point he made, about white nationalist being in the military: that’s a very true statement. Both of my parents served in the United States, Air Force. My mother retired with 30 years as a chief master sergeant. My father retired with 25 years as a tech sergeant. My father served three tours in Vietnam, and when he came back was not able to get his G.I. Bill benefits. It took him several years to fight to get those benefits . They experienced a significant amount of racism while in. I join the military in 1993, and stayed in till 2000 after I had finish my masters degree. I came in one year short of graduating with my bachelors. For my first four years, my boss would not refer to me. By my last name he referred to me as come here, N*gg*r. I had five immediate supervisors in my first year, all of them gave me outstanding‘s on my feedback. When it came to my EPR, the head boss, the one that called me an N gave me a chew for my EPR. The only reason why that two did not stand is because the first sergeant said they have no justification to give me a two when all of my bosses said I was outstanding, and they could give me a three. They screwed over my senior airman below the zone, and my staff sergeant rank. But they didn’t mess over with me, being able to go bootstrap and finish my degree. People say that this stuff doesn’t exist, the stuff above, because they’ve either never seen it or it’s never happened to them. It’s so funny that when it does happen to someone it gets denied, or it just doesn’t exist. Whether you believe us, or not, I’m still a human being. I serve this country, not only as an active duty member, but as a Military kid that traveled all over the world because my parents had to.

I’m an Afghanistan veteran, 2 tours was over there for a total of 22 months. That withdrawal was absolutely pathetic, cowardice, and down right wrong. On deployment where there are no post exchanges, the unit aid stations hand them out for free. So... If you lack the self-discipline to avoid pregnancy, how can you claim to have the discipline to be a soldier?
