If today was not a crooked highway If tonight was not a crooked trail If tomorrow wasn't such a long time Then lonesome would mean nothing to you at all Yes and only if my own true love was waitin' And if I could hear her heart a-softly poundin' Yes, only if she was lyin' by me Then I'd lie in my bed once again I can't see my reflection in the waters I can't speak the sounds that show no pain I can't hear the echo of my footsteps Or remember the sound of my own name Yes, and only if my own true love was waitin' And if I could hear her heart a-softly poundin' Yes and only if she was lyin' by me Then I'd lie in my bed once again There's beauty in the silver, singin' river There's beauty in the sunrise in the sky But none of these and nothing else can touch the beauty That I remember in my true love's eyes Yes and only if my own true love was waitin' I could hear her heart a softly poundin' Yes and only if she was lyin' by me Then I'd lie in my bed once again
I just posted that same comment on his cover of Vincent. He has the clearest voice on RU-vid. He sounds so much like James Taylor and his guitar playing is impeccable.
whoever needs more George Clements in their life, search for the Lonely Heartstring Band. You're VERY welcome:) George, thank you for posting these covers, they are truly inspiring.
Thanks a lot fot the tip ! It's right, we never have enough George Clements on our life ! and I've seen that he has a double ! incredible :) It's amazing to see his twin brother just next to him ! You can see him with Andy Cambria too : a great duo ! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cMOIhQXnekY.html
@@NeoSeveune that'd brautiful! Thank you for that. Re his twin. Yes! And according to his website they should have an album coming out soon of their own music.
Bob Dylan songs are just amazing. Always better when sung by someone else (in my opinion). Such lyricism and beauty. Now this song has new life breathed into it. Another amazing cover by a true artist of voice and strings. I just love envy video you post. Thank you again. Delightful.
My thoughts exactly. Bob could really create the poetry and the melodic beauty but I haven't gotten to the point of enjoying his delivery. I discovered this song by hearing Nickel Creek cover it- very beautiful, you should hear it. Then I learned it was Bob's creation by hearing a cover by Judy Collins; just awful, unrecognizable except I recognized the words. I guess it depends on the listener's preference.
@@bw1841 I totally agree. Bob is such a talented poet and songwriter but it seems that it needs others to bring his creations to life and present them fresh and allow us to delight in their beauty afresh each time. Thanks for the reply. We are on the same wavelength.
George, I've listened to Dylan playing his own song. You, though, had me crying...really. It wasn't just the words, it was your playing, your voice, your gentle way bubbling through the music that did it.
Tengo 64 años, de los cuales 50 he estado escuchando a Dylan y tocando sus canciones. Yo te digo amigo que eres muy bueno, muy bueno, muy bueno. Gracias por expresarlo.
Amazing music! What a smooth voice, it sounds like you came from the early 70s music scene, very reminiscent of John Denver and other 70s pop/folk singers. And such clear tones on the guitar. Beautiful. Thank you for this.
Brother you are amazing. Everything is on point, from the perfect guitar and beautifully vocals. Thank you so much for you amazing art! My GOD bless you and you love ones.
Oh my heart !! As soon as I hear that velvety voice I literally swoon and I havnt done that for years ❤ A beautiful voice a beautiful face and by the choice of songs you choose I’m guessing a beautiful soul too x
To my friend from Gaza the world Condemns Indiscriminate egregious acts of violence/bombing no civilian should have to endure Such violence. You have my blessings stay strong
Just discovered your channel and I must say I hope you never second guess or doubt yourself in life. Amazing singer and player George. I’d love to see you cover “lost in the dream” by The War on Drugs
Beautiful cover to a beautiful song....the voice, guitar all aspects are amazing but to me your expressions stand alone as they perfectly cover what that song require....love from Pakistan
Looking for songs to add to a playlist to listen to on my TV as I go to sleep. I searched up this song to add it, saw your video and decided to click on it out of curiosity. Honestly more aesthetically pleasing than the original, and I love the original. I decided to add your cover to my sleep playlist instead of the original. Great job man.
