Thanks a bunch for this very helpful video. I attempted to replace battery of my TomTom Go 650 and somehow ended up with screwing up the display. I was worried that the display did not turn up after replacing the battery. After watching this video I was able to properly setup the circuit ribbon and other cables / parts which brought back the display. You saved my Device. Big Thanks and regards from Vienna, Austria🙂

I only needed to change the battery in my 6200, but this guide was a great help for how to get inside the thing. Those clips don't give up their hold easily, but once I'd got it going, it was easier and pretty straightforward after that. Hope I don't need to open it again ever! (seems much snappier for the new battery inside though)

Thank you so much for this, I couldnt find any information on how to open this device anywhere apart from this video, my GPRS still doesnt work on it, even tried changing the sim for a different one I have and still doesnt work, i'll have to call tom tom on monday.

Yes, opening the device is the hardest problem. You never know if there is a hidden screw somewhere before applying force.

Here is a link from where you can purchase the screen. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/264317443724 Before you purchase teh screen you need to open it and check witch is teh version you need, as on this device are 2 different screens and 2 different touch screens.

Hello , I have a problem with my TomTom go 6250 professional. After i push the start buton it appears a imaginii with the GPS totmtom and a computer ...between them a cablu. And that's all. After that it doesn't load anymore the line bar...as he would normally do.and doesn't open . Just that image stays on the screen . What should i do ? Can you help me with a advice please?

@@RepairMyDevice i tried already that and is loading.it is half loaded and closes. I think he has a technical problem. could i send the gps to you to repair it?
