Gordon was proud to have his new Express Coaches, and The Old Coaches are feeling sad and leafed out. Edward took them for a run on the Branch line and it cheered them up, and Gordon was not impressed. Gordon was very cross and he wanted to show Edward and Thomas about real work. Then Gordon couldn’t leave one morning, and then Edward had an idea. Sir Topham Hatt and the Passengers were surprised to see Edward with the Old Coaches, and so Edward was going well on the Main Line and Henry cheered Edward on, as he rushed through a tunnel. The Passengers cheered Edward when he stopped at the last station. So Edward was about to take the Old Coaches back to the carriage sidings, when Gordon came and he insisted on taking the Old Coaches back to the carriage sidings. But Thomas came in and told Gordon that Sir Topham Hatt that he had to shunt in the yard, and Gordon was red in the face.
