In the special episode of Tone Check we switch our focus to one of the coolest vintage guitars we've ever had in the shop! Behold the late 60's Vox Invader. This fascinating and unique instrument was created with some of the best sounding built-in effects that we've heard implemented in a guitar in an era when most built in effects were cheesy sound gimmicks.

This special guitar has a great sounding fuzz circuit built with the sound of the era, a treble booster, a gorgeous sounding way, and a unique square wave tremolo circuit. It's a shockingly great instrument!
We hope you enjoy our exploration of this truly unique instrument!
Made for only a very brief moment in '66/'67 the Vox Invader features a bound carved top & contoured body, similar in appearance to Mosrite guitars. It also includes onboard nine-volt battery operated special effects: treble & bass booster, distortion, repeater, Wah-Wah & an E tuner. Fully functioning & in great shape for its age. Professionally set up & ready to play upon arrival.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Closed-back Vox tuners in good working condition. 1 9/16" nut width with zero fret; 25" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Electronics: Dual single coils with black bezels. Master volume with dual tone controls & 3-way toggle switch. Treble/Bass Booster, Distortion, Repeater, Wah Wah & E-Tuner.
