As i get old am now appreciating more of this, used to think dad would trouble us taking us to the villiage...so proud that i can recognise these drums if the were to play anywere..
Wonderful. I was privileged to be brought up in first Lusaka, spending the first two years living in the bush outside the lovely city, then Ndola. I am nearly 75 but have never forgotten the excitement of playing with my first chongololo, seeing my first lizards, chameleons, hunting spiders, and the welcome smell of the first rains on red dust. What a fantastic revival of old memories! Thank you so much, Mr Mweemba, and beautiful Zambia.
Just came across this recording ! It’s awesome! Can’t stop playing it over! More of same please Mr Mweemba. Keep the heritage. This is priceless. God bless you always 🙏
