Huge 'Grazi' to the Italians for taking the time to tour the Pacific islands. It really means a lot to the home islands to watch tier-one nations play. This is growing the game.
It was beautiful, but at the same time, it doesn't look good because there are not many supporters interested in watching the game. It's so sad. Come on my Tongan. Let us support the boys.
Italys ball movement was sweet. Having played against Tonga, some 40 plus years ago, I know firsthand there is no shortage of toughness/never say die in every one of their players. Great match.
No one helped NZ to their position, they got where they are by being fuggin awesome. Perhaps Tonga should just do the being fuggin awesome thing for thirty or forty years instead of holding their hands out like some pouty welfare queen.
The fact that Italy chose to play first in Samoa and then in Tonga is something that, regardless the result, I appreciate a lot (even just to organize I believe it's not so easy); nothing extraordinary of course, but I think it's fair to say that. 🍺
Italy had too many referees playing on their team. Took away from a strong performance against Tonga at home. That looked like a pleasant pitch to watch an international. Not much of a crowd, though. Credit to Italy for organizing what must have been an expensive tour. Rugby needs more of those.
The main stand with the majority of crowd is on the same side as the TV camera. 4000 reported there overall, which for a country with a population of only 100k isn't too bad.
Very pleased for Italian rugby. I hope they continue to get some deserved wins. They play with passion and flair and a win will lift their spirits. Hope they do well in next 6 nations 👍
@@WhoAmEye187 Well it’s true. Tonga don’t often play at home, but they usually play better there. They won their last 3 games at home, including one against Australia A who had a lot of Wallabies in their team. Even Fiji struggle to beat them there when they have a much better team on paper.
Remember italy beat wales in the 6 nations this year twice and have just come of the back off that 6 nations. Tonga has done well with such little preperation in comparison. Good game..!
The fact that Italy has come off a 6 Nations tournament gives them game time advantage....Pacific Island teams only plays first time together by the time International tests comes around. Welldone Tonga, welldone Italia 👊
Bravo! So good to see Italy touring Tonga. More of this world rugby. Why were the zitalaians so scare dof being tackled by the Tongans? How did these guys ever have a military empire. 😂
Wrong. There are 16 Clubs and 12 schools in Union from Seniors to under 12s. Only 5 League clubs and 4 schools (all Mormon lol). MMT only popular in NZ and Aus. League will never be big in the Pacific Islands
Why did the referee blow the final whistle after awarding the penalty try. Surely Italy had the opportunity to convert the try! The score should have been 36 - 14 and not 34 - 14.
They're all in Australia watching rugby league man. 😅😅😅. Not only that cuz, they all migrants to Australia. Tonga island and Samoan island will soon be empty because they all migrants to Australia. Would you like to move in cuz? 😅😅😅😅😂😂😂
Not bad for a c team. Missing some of the moana & world cup players.. just need to cut out the ill discipline & play smarter. Too much emotions involved
Fiji, Samoa,Tonga and chuck in Māori All Blacks have to organize a competition every year. Tonga shouldn't be losing against Italy and Samoa at home just scraping to beat Italy. Surely the government own airlines can waiver the transport fees it's a matter of urgency for these small Island Countries. These Island Countries have to do something. Give the people something to love; in the name of Jesus. The game that's played in Heaven.
"Tonga shouldn't be losing to Italy" Man, you're a natural-talented comedian You know that this is the team that has beaten Wales, Scotland and has drawn with France right? Thank god that the scoreline has been merciful today.
First try, the scorer was clearly tackled and held and never released the ball before getting up and going again. If you want tacklers releasing tackled ball carriers, you have to also insist that tackled ball carriers properly release the ball before they regain their feet.
Oku sai pe timi MMT ia Koe ikale tahi pe ia Oku erooo..!!haha tokolahi pe kau star he timi ikale tahi kae kei erooo pe hahaha fu’ulahi pe kau ‘ulu hae’i ia timi ‘ikale ai koee ku pehee ku vainga ‘Ikale haha
Bruh 🤦🏽♂️ the islands always complaining we don’t get enough rugby down here, they get a test against a tier 1 and look at that rubbish turnout. Needa take a leaf out of Fijis book my tokos
Samoa beat Italy last week, 25-33, the super rugby really helps the Pacific brothers improve In the sport, I think Tonga did pretty well, it not always easy to beat a tier 1 nation
@@francelewiss7030 no no I’m not talking about how the team performed, I’m talking about people coming out to support and watch the game. Atmosphere in Fiji is crazy, idk why Tonga and Samoa locals can’t do the same.
Italia !!!! Poteva fare di più e giocare meglio Troppi errori " handling" ,nelle touche, nei calci piazzati e liberi. Se gioca così il.giappone ci " mazzia"
