My tongue piercing experience was super similar I was so nervous for the pain, I originally wanted venom piercing, but my veins were in the way so I could only get the normal tongue piercing. But I’m so so so glad because it hurt like hell getting one and the drool was so nasty lol! How do you find the steel bar and balls? I know you tend to play with them but do you find they click on your teeth when you talk? I had acrylic for years then switched and it constantly clicks on my teeth suuuuuper annoying. ALSO pretend you have +1 follower on your Instagram, I had to delete my social media for anxiety reasons (it feels so weird being 22 with no social media anymore ^^”...) but if I still had it I would follow you so always remember you have a bonus hidden follower! I'm still quite self conscious about my online presence, so your comment really brightened up my day & calmed down my thoughts..thank you so much ♥ And i didn't know that veins could get in the way of venom piercings! that's really interesting. I had read online that veins may be an issue so luckily I wasn’t too disappointed, OMG biting it is the worst feeling in the world!! I’m not sure what size the balls are but definitely much bigger than yours, yours look so much better! What kind of videos did you make?? I would have loved to see them! & don't worry about instagram, if it's increasing your anxiety you're better off without it. Communicating with your loved ones via calling/texting is much more authentic and wholesome :) i try to keep communication on other apps so i don't have to open instagram too much...The balls i'm wearing are super comfy but they actually keep unscrewing so i swallow them all the time lol. Tongue piercings are such a struggle sometimes haha but so worth it. How's the covid situation where you live btw? Have an amazing day! ☀

I used to make guitar tutorials and covers when I was around 15/16 and just lost all confidence in it. And now looking back at my videos they’re so cringe but I loved doing it so I want to invest in a new camera and maybe try again, hopefully doing a better job. I feel relieved without instagram, I don’t sit and compare myself to other people all day, it makes it easier to just accept myself. Definitely nothing better than a long chat on the phone with a friend! I’ve recently learned to use reddit as a substitute for Facebook, twitter and Instagram since I came off them all and I love it! There’s a really nice feeling of community there because you join groups based on your interests and no one judges! Haha I’m so glad I’ve never done that with my tongue piercing that would freak me out, plus the jewellery is expensive so I’d be so pissed at myself for it 😂 piercings are great but sometimes they really are such a struggle, changing the jewellery can take soooo long 🤦🏾♀️ aw thank you for asking, England have started to ease lockdown but here in Scotland were still stuck in it at least until the 28th so I’m holding on knowing things are getting somewhere, just slowly....how about you I haven’t heard much about how Canada is doing through all of this? Ohh that's cool i've never really been on reddit but you made me wanna try! I saw on your youtube description that you play the cello? I'm obsessed with this instrument, i currently play the violin but cello is definitely on my list. I'd love to hear you play, and i really hope you find the confidence to make videos again one day! i personally find my videos cringe sometimes and i hate watching them with people, but i try to take a step back and watch my videos as if i'm watching someone i don't know. we tend to criticize ourselves too much... i'm sure your videos are not cringe at all, if you put your heart into it and you're genuine, people will see it ♥. In montreal, lockdown is until the 25th, but honestly people are not respecting the rules at all, everyone is hanging out in parks (including me...). The winter is so long that no one wants to stay indoor anymore, we're finally getting some good weather! but yeah i think the date will be extended haha
I had a tongue piercing some years back but I had to remove it after three weeks because it just wasn't healing and was still very painful. In retrospect, it was partially my fault and also, the piercer wasn't the best. He didn't ask me if the location was okay (it was too far back as I would have liked) and I was so terrified that my tongue just retracted while he was already piercing it. He kept pulling my tongue with the clamp and I kept pulling it involuntarily out of fear. So i think when it got pierced, it was done sideways making it more painful and difficult to heal. Really best to search for a reputable piercer and yeah agree with you 100% to be mentally prepared. That helps immensely.

He definitely shouldn't be piercing you if you feel so scared that your tongue retracts :( I'm sorry you had to go through that. Do you think you will get it re-pierced in the future?

Hey sofia! 1. Yes it does damage the teeth and causes gum recession in the long run.. it’s not visible to us but the dentist will see it and advise you to remove it 🥺 I’m planning on taking mine out eventually but will give it a few more years to enjoy it. i’d say to get it if you really want it but keeping in mind you won’t have it forever 2. Just change the toothbrush when you get the piercing, but afterwards do as you usually do :) 3. No need to quit smoking in general, but just during the first weeks of piercing it Hope this helps! i’m struggling with my parents and piercings too, i know how you feel. Dont let it keep you from expressing yourself 💕

I pierced this shit myself. Imagine me sitting on the floor trying to get the needle through while crying. Three times. Three motherf... times. From up. Nope. From under... no. From up again. Almost swallowed it. And the barbell was too short. When I was finally ready I went straight to sleep and the next few days were a disaster. I didn't really have anything soft to eat, but at least I lost some weight. I had a huuge lisp and after like three words my tongue was in the worst pain. You know, imagine eating a lot of pineapple to the point it pinches your tongue. And multiple it like 10 or 100 times. That's how it feels like. But I have to say that it was hella worth it, I love the combinations, the colors, the look, the feel, this is the best piercing to get for sure. My pain tolerance is so low. So if I could make it through, anyone can. But go to a piercer! Also, it's surprisingly easy to change.

DAMN. i totally get the pineapple comparison lol i never eat any because it hurts my mouth too much, so i can't even imagine x100. did you get any complications during the healing process, other than the pain? and with a short bar, did it take longer to heal? (if anyone is reading this comment, please go to a piercer ahah)
@@teawithromy I still have no clue how could I do it 😂 It still was worth it though, but yes, always go to a piercer! Always. Mine is a good case, it did take longer to heal, I pierced it a bit further back, the bar was short, but within two weeks it was okay, no infection or complication. Mouthwash and brushing teeth after every meal. After one week, it got easier to eat and now it's healed. Ice cube was the best thing in life, I guess, anyone with tongue piercing gets me 😂
