That last shot Pippen refused to enter the game 'cause Jackson drew up the play for Kukoc, and Pippen felt like deserved to take the last shot, and chose to pout and quit on his team. The fact that Kukoc made it makes it that much better.
What's crazy is this wasn't his first buzzer beater. There's like...3 or 4 just in this video alone. Heck, I think Pippen even fed him once. Pippen just couldn't see the forest, always focused on the tree.
I still have this man’s jersey! I was in love with Toni as a kid 😂! Seeing this footage brings back so many great memories for me as kid. The bulls were literally all that back in the 90s. I miss this era
Couldve played 1,2 ,3, but they needed a 4 so he blended. No doubt about his bball iq or his clutchness. He put team above individual accolades which made the dynamic duo even better .
Don't forget Ron Harper. Dude was an allstar before joining Chicago. What was important they were built ahead its days. Lots of good overall defenders who could switch positions. Only few players were below 6-6. Their only Achilles heel was center position, as they did not have a really good piece there.
In the '90s east though, Longley was one of the few centers who could physically stand with Zo, Shaq, and Ewing. Averaged over 10 pts a game during the 2nd 3peat, and was a terrific post passer.
@@kevinhegwood615 10 points on below 50% efficiency. He also averaged only about 5 rebounds. I remember games when he started game and had to be subbed in first half of first quarter because of foul trouble. For sure he was not a strong link, he had his moments but even himself admitted that he was having problems with consistency.
@@bartomiej9807 dude was absolutely not an all-star, but when they had Pip, MJ, and the wurm, Longley held down the center position defensively. And could throw in a bucket or two. Honestly though, he did almost single-handedly cost them that 96 Orlando series.
So underrated. This guy is 6ft 10 inches and could do it all including shooting around 50% from 3. The Bulls didn't just take him because of all of that though ofcourse it was the main reason but he won 5 titles in European league. 2 in the Australian league. He knew how to handle pressure
That New York shot was controversial it shows that not just Jerry but Phil Jackson himself knows Kukoc have the capability. He's like "I'm the coach here Scottie"😑
Drazen Petrovic was the best Eu player ever. sadly God did not have anyone to play 1vs1 on so he took him before we had enough time to enjoy his magic . Miller up to this day claims Drazen was the best shooter NBA has ever seen...Miller is by far called by most the best shooter but he as the best shooter claimes it was late Drazen Petrovic ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0EUo5p6D990.html
The best allaround european player alltime 207cm! no debate by far ...playmaker 3pts pass slam dunk rebound steak block and clutch ! kukoc was thé best with drazen.
Just imagine how frustrating it had to be for opposing teams. You've fought hard all game, you have the lead with seconds - or even just one second - left on the clock. You know Michael Jordan can hit a shot at the buzzer. If you just keep him from touching the ball you might win. Except, no. Toni Kukoc also hits those shots. That was the great thing about watching the Bulls in the mid 90s. Even in those rare instances when they lost a game, you always had the sense they might pull it out at the end.
Could off had his own franschize, could of come to Heat with Alonso, could of come to Cleveland, Dallas, Charlotte, Jersy or other clubs, all of those teams needed Toni to get over that playoff bounce, but He would be the King in Warriors
