no it's not, the acronym doesnt have to match the sound of original word lol. the real correct is G.I.F., as in saying the individual letters. but pronounciation 'jif' is correct because it's the letter "G" sound.

@@MasamuneStreams it's the stereotype that if you're big bumbling giant of a person you usually associate strength and dominance on the physical aspect. That's why typically people are generally surprised if someone is big, strong, and physically adept in sports or martial arts and also found out they have like a degree or a doctorate in the intellectual knowledge like physics or engineering, people usually go "wow I didn't know that". While if they hear a typical average person who isn't physically built and they have a degree in astrophysics or something it's not that much of a surprise to people. And yes I have to say Shaq has this very underrated intelligence in hiim that most people don't see and don't know until they see him situations like this where he shows it.

I have always pronounced it as "jif" from the beginning, but when I actually think about it it should be "gif". It's Graphic Interchange Format, if you take the first sound of each word then it should be "gif", not "jif".

Lots of people are not understanding that the last question is a question so debatable that no matter what they answer they are wrong. It's impossible to answer correctly on the last question because they want to end with a double blast everytime. That said, it's absolutely Gif, not jif. And a hot dog is absolutely a sandwich, though not a sandwich sandwich.

According to Merriam-Webster, a sandwich is "two or more slices of bread or a split roll having a filling in between." By that definition, hot dogs seem to qualify as sandwich. Take in mind Subway Subs are also called a Subway Sandwich. Same as a hot dog, a split roll.
