I hope they improved the 1v1 experience, I'm a firm believer that even in a 2v2 game there will be moments of 1v1, and those moments need to be just as good

Everyone talking about gameplay speed is slower from the new gameplay vids but remember when multiversus first drop info they slowed the vids down to showcase but the actual gameplay speed was faster when we played the beta. Everyone calm down

I hope it is waaaayy too fast it was stupid and they were too small glad they are big now i wont get motion sickness from seeing small characters on my screen being super fast

There's a fine line between critique and complaint. They're called Player First Games for goodness sake. Let's stay respectful and avoid the nitpicking from a game we haven't gotten on our hands on yet.

The sizes are good for 2's for sure it's 1's I'm curious about once I play.

I LOVE this gameplay. The impact of the hits is so satisfying and it’s not as floaty. I just need a 12% speed increase.

My theory, going from the timer on screen, is that they sped up the footage. Idk why they did this but they might've done it because of performance issues. I remember the arkham knight trailer being sped up because they couldn't get the game to run lol. This probably explains the game speed being different

Had a dream the other day where Multiversus revealed the new characters and they were: Joker, Cyborg, the two dogs from Paw Patrol, Poppy and Branch from Trolls. Super random

In terms of the movement speed, I hardly notice when focusing on Wonder Woman but Batman looks especially sluggish. I think, no hate intended, part of this is poor movement on some of the players. Kinda like how Snake in Smash feels like he's moving through mud until you start using short hops and B reverses. I think Finn looks around the same speed as well but I didn't play him so can't be sure on that.

I think they did this so the little characters are easier to hit and maybe to balance iron giant some too.

@@Obad87 Fair, but they don't have to change Gizmo or Rick's size, but characters like Garnet and Black Adam literally look like Godzilla, so a small size decrease would do numbers

Imagine rebalancing the entire cast around one character. The bigger characters are going to be WORSE for Iron Giant as their hitboxes are expanded, and Iron Giant is still likely going to be slow in comparison. Maybe even slower than before. The models are too big. They should shrink them 5%.

@@casserCOM that was just speculation. It's most likely to make the smaller characters bigger and easier to hit. May not have to do with giant at all but definitely is because of the tiny characters like Gizmo, spike, Steven, Morty etc.

@@Obad87 yeah I'm aware. I was making the point that it'd be crazy to resize the whole cast just to "balance" IG, considering the resizing is a detrement to the character and what his identity was (being massive).

The problems with Multiversus is just the lack of news and then they come out with jarring decisions. It brews a negative environment. Shit, I was trash talking the game and I'm excited as ever to play... I just think the delivery of this game is always off and I have no idea how they can fix it

"in development - footage not final" as a fighting game veteran (it's been almost 10 years i qualify) there is an important thing to note about beta footage: IF THEY SHOW IT IN A TEASER FOOTAGE, DON'T ASSUME IT IS GOING TO CHANGE! This goes both ways, but you can't assume a thing is going to be changed unless they TELL you it's going to change. You HAVE to assume what they're showing is the current build they're working on, and is the basis for what the game is ACTUALLY going to be like. I say this as someone who as times have had length conversations with devs of various fighting games. DO NOT assume it's going to be different. I also want to note: FEELING THE GAME IS TOO SLOW OR TOO FLOATY IS A VALID COMPLAINT. Please do not dismiss other people's feelings on the gameplay, especially since this is the gameplay they are showing us. It goes back to what i said before, you CAN'T assume things are going to change for the positive if you don't voice your displeasure with it. Devs will assume that they're going in the right direction at times unless feedback is provides. Oh and I wanna note further: A complaint is a complaint. It's not an attack on the devs. if people don't voice their grievances then things have a change to NOT get changed, and while in theory that might make the devs happier, the publisher won't be when a large portion of the playerbase does in fact leave due to the gameplay feeling too off to them. This is made worse by the fact that launch windows leave a lasting impression, even if the problems are changed in the future, that first impressions matters, and cements players viewpoints on it, good or bad. Want examples? street fighter x tekken got hit by this really hard, the latest undernight also got hit by this thanks simple to the netcode that needed fixes on launch. Diesel legacy got it (before it even launched) because the gameplay is meh and it's being dev'd by Mike Z, a guy who burend many bridges in the community.(and i wouldnt' be surprised if maximum entertainment put him on the avatar game and killed that thing too) INFACT i'd go so far as to say devs NEED feedback. they dont' have to listen to it at the end of the day, but the reality is they NEED feedback in order to inform their decisions one way or another. People aren't complaining just to complain... they don't want their game to die. I'm sorry you seem to see it as needless negativity but i genuinely think that they not only have the right to complain, but that it's necissary for the community to give the devs a push towards what the playerbase is looking for. After all, their game company is called player first games. Situations like this they should live up to their namesake.

I agree with this, I like everything I’m seeing. Even the characters look fine in their bigger versions. Just tune up the speed and we good to go

I have a theory that they slowed down movement to help improve the online. It's easier for the game to prevent lag of slow moving characters than say characters dashing around really fast.

I hadn't considered that larger characters will make it easier to track where you are on the screen which will be helpful because I struggled a bit with tracking where my character was on certain maps. I do worry about larger characters meaning it's easier to KO them. Especially, Iron Giant. I guess we'll see when the game comes back next month.

My main problem was just the insane lag. The game had normal lag (some matches worse than others, occasional teleporting) for the first few weeks, then when Lebron James was released the netcode died. Every single match had varying levels of input delay, teleportation (usually straight to death), and damage coming from nowhere. The game had other issues, like character balance and extremely safe cancelable attacks, but what killed it for me was the horrible netcode, especially when they talked as if it was fine. I play Smash, which has horrible netcode, but that didn't feel anywhere near as bad as Multiversus did. I'm definitely willing to give it another shot for the awesome characters, but I hope that they did more than just add some characters. In terms of engine changes, I think slightly larger characters and slower gameplay is good! I think shaggy looked too big in that image, but in general bigger characters on these large maps is the right idea for more clarity. And the gameplay was way, way too fast before. In that gameplay video, it still looks quite fast, but not where you can throw out 3 canceled attacks in a second.

Garners Dash attack is she shoots out the glove and uses her foot to catch the glove as she puts her hands behind her back, using the glove to hit you in the face
