really love the way you make your content you even taught me about oiling up tight joints which I never knew about. But thanks to you you've probrably saved any future figure I buy.
HE GOT MY GOAT (sadly I don't have this one, however I have boy from the future)

Tonsen's Trunks is supposed to be taller than Bandai's BFTF because of the 2 years spent training in the Time chamber but unfortunately BFTF was made too tall as a figure compared to the anime in which he was noticeably shorter than Goku.
yes, i'm aware of that, it's too bad that they followed a wrong blueprint. perhaps the reason is tonsen want it to be compatible with BFTF

@@toysfront they must have known that people would compare their figure with BFTF first so they had no choice. I blame Bandai for making BFTF too tall.
Everyone getting this figure, and I'm still waiting on mine from Omnime to ship... :/ This is literally my most wanted figure since Figuarts began doing DB figures over 10 years ago, with Bojack Trunks being a close second. It's an amazing time to be a Trunks fan with Bandai doing the BFTF ver, GT, and 3rd party handling the rest. We're even getting a 3rd party buff armor Trunks. :o
Supposedly Tonsens upcoming bojack version is the same base figure but with the inclusion of a long hair base head, powered up ssj head, and the torn jacket. Supposedly tonsen will be selling an accessory pack containing those items for this figure to swap as needed. Genius idea on their part!
Seeing the tank top trunks articulated figure is great and seeing that bojack ver mashup is a great surprise. Too bad i dont have extra cash after getting PO gametoys noctis 😅
6:11 I mean Tonsens Trunks is based off a appearance where he is older. Hes like 19 with the tank top after way more battle experience and a year in the hyperbolic time chamber while Bandais is where he first appears and is 17
already given my comment that the mistake lies firstly with bandai bftf trunks' scale, then tonsen's for following bandai's scale imho 😁 have u tried putting bftf trunks side by side to android 16 - 20? the androids look cute in comparison 😂 now that we're entering android saga, it's a perplexing moment for bandai. whether to release cell (or refresh 17&18) in the same scale & having them bigger than the rest of the androids, OR keep them in the old scale & just let bftf trunks the only odd one in the lineup 🤔 either way, it's not gonna be good for my db display 😆
I'm glad I bought both he is the perfect trunks figure!!! also I want to let you know to be very carful with the ssj hair strands on both trunks mine and others were starting to crack after lightly putting some force onto it.
yes, i'm aware. sorry for not mentioning it . i just thought it's a common knowledge to be gentle with hair strands, especially on third party figures. appreciate the tips friend 🙏🙏🙏
they do have stiff joints all over, but as long as u'r gently moving the limbs i guess u'll be fine. some figuarts also have super stiff joints, krillin & gohan battle armor easily comes to mind.
most people choose A bcos they like the light purple base form's hair color. but reddish purple is nice as well, thats why i put him in the front ( on my thumbnail ). 😁
i havent tried that one yet, so i wouldnt know. 😥 try it first on 1 joint & wait for a few days, if it doesnt dry up then u'll know it's fine. gluck friend 😉👍
BFTF Trunks is not $70, it's 6500¥ ~ 50$ (source : shfiguarts encyclopedia). tonsen trunks is not $60, it's 70$ (check omnime or aliexpress). when third party figure price equals officials, i consider it pricey because they dont pay license for it. the most sensible priced third party figures these days are demoniacal fit's.
@@toysfront I bought mine from Ali for $62.65 after taxes and coupons. Not much cheaper than the official version, but still cheaper by about $10. I also consider build quality, paint and accessories, which puts Tonsen on top. They have much better paint than the official version so that would cost more $. I literally had to buy 2 SHF Trunks to kit bash them to make their best version. The 1st release had arms that fell off constantly and the 2nd version had a knee that kept popping off. So I took the knees off the 1st version to give them to the 2nd version. Tonsen's Trunks is solid with no QC issues beside being slightly tight in a few joints. So yeah, I consider the $62.65 Tonsen Trunks to be cheaper and much better than the floppy $74 SHF Trunks that I had to buy twice.
🤣 i feel u, friend... that BFTF Trunks is truly a nasty experience, especially for a casual/entry collectors, but then again msrp was 50$ish, and he looks gorgeous. if u spent more for him, it was prob bcos of the hype & getting from resellers naturally costs more. i'm just lucky i have an official bandai distributor in my country so i mostly preordered for less. however, with all things considered, imho as a general rule, third party figures should not cost equal or more than official ones, just bcos third party companies dont pay license fee. u can compare to demoniacal, black hole & cttoys, they make clones for much cheaper but with solid build quality. thank you for your feedback, friend. i hope BFTF Trunks didnt make u quit collecting officials. Bandai can be stupidly annoying sometimes, but there are many great figures they did right in the first try. i really value your comments 🙏😁
@toysfront As a general rule, we have to add $25-30 for SHF figures in the USA because of the shipping overseas. So that's why we consider Tonsen to be cheaper, licensed or not. The Naruto I bought had the same arm falling off issue. I'm pretty put off by SHF figures lately and won't be collecting them unless there's an absolutely great figure.
😆 prob just the effect after being too long in the box. i tried not to mention it due to it might not be a widespread issue, but u noticed it anyway.. 👍 very nice observation, friend.
