I think at this point he’s just in shock, he got knocked down and suddenly a ghost, a loved one he watched die and grieved for years helps him on his feet. You can see him smile when Peter starts doing his trademark rambling, because as much as he gave him shit, the truth is that he realized in that time just how much he missed that. It’s a brief beautiful respite amid a nightmare, you can even see him cry shortly after smiling
I like to think the word vomit was actually a comfort to him. When you lose someone, you even wish to experience the things they did that irritated you. Being able to experience it means they are back in your life, and that's something many of wish could happen again.
Wasn't Aunt May the 'uncle Ben' of this Peter? The death of "uncle Ben" is the one pivot point of Spiderman's character development In the first two, aunt May didn't die because there actually was an 'uncle Ben'
@@yosefpeter1ehhhh not really, to be honest aunt May has kinda been more of a side character (still important) to this Spider-Man, she’s not the MAIN pivot point she was in tobeys
You can tell he was looking out for Peter and saw him as a younger him (like how Happy did in the scene where he made his suit) and used his past experiences to help Peter out.
Peter didn’t know he was opening the door he wasn’t acting he didn’t know that he was gonna open the door so Peter was confused and thought he was giving him a hug❤
My son, who is on the spectrum, when he gets overwhelmed he always asks if he can give me a hug. Everytime he does he says " Oh this is nice " Just like Tom does with Tony. Makes my hear feel good everytime I here or see that scene. He hasn't seen this film yet.
So happy they added that scene. It felt unnecessary at the time but come to find out 5 minutes later Ironman died. We deserved them reuniting and even tho it was so short I’m still happy we got to see it.
@@RussellGz a ton of people did. They were in the middle of a war for the fate of the universe and Peter was making small talk. A quick head nod of acknowledgement then back to battle then catch up after the jobs done is what makes the most sense. Some of us are honest enough to admit we didn’t have the benefit of hindsight tho, which is why I said in hindsight it was more than necessary.
@@Spacewalk11I don’t remember reading any negative around their reunion. Peter is a teenager. Him responding to Tony (even in an all out war) imo seemed like something a teenager would do. Especially considering the length of time they haven’t seen each other.
@@taylorhaze8651 the reunion itself isn’t unnecessary obviously as that’s what I said I just said the timing seemed weird without the benefit of hindsight. In this case the hindsight was Tony dying and that being the only chance for said reunion. There’s nothing negative to say about the reunion it was great.
Honestly it was a great relationship. Tony was there. Tony spoke to him. He didn't patronize or come to send him. He taught him a lot like his father taught him, but when his father interacted with other people, it was patronizing and condescending. It was the exact same way Tony gets when he talks to other people. It's patronizing and condescending and I'm not saying that he can't seem patronizing or condescending, but he's usually teaching him not being a piece of crap to be a piece of crap but literally teaching and it's beautiful. They did a great job with that relationship
The fact that hugging scene was not intentional is wild. It worked so well. Tom thought Robert was going in for a hug and RDJ just rolled with it to create an amazing scene
Tony was like an older brother to Peter. Tony would give anything, including his life, to save Peter. Great series of great entertainment. ThankU to everyone involved in the making of all MARVEL MOVIES...!
I'm so glad they provided a leadership position for Tony. Because it's the entire world around Tony never mattered. Until suddenly people around him matter. Now he understands what a father feels.
Tony getting to see and hug Peter was such a sweet moment, you can really tell he missed him so much the past five years. Also RDJ is one hell of an amazing actor
Tony began to see Peter as a reflection of his younger self and understood what Peter sought from him: the support and guidance he had longed for from his own father.
The look on Tony's face when peter returns always brings me to tears. Hes bot listening to what Peter's saying. It's a look of 'it worked.' The first thing he said to pepper after the snap was I lost the kid. And now he realizes it was all worth it. 😢
Father son bond, even though they are not related. Tony had children late in life and Peter saw him as a father figure like his uncle Ben. That's special.
