Thank you. This is the BEST COMMENT! It is so TRUE! I always loved Tony Bennet and his beautiful voice. More than Sinatra who I believe was overrated and Martin who was "promoted" beyond his simple talent. Tony Bennet was a true gentleman. May his soul rest in Peace. 🙏✝️❤

No offense to Frank Sinatra intended, he is a transcendent talent, but this is the definitive version of the song. There's an aching melancholy to it that Tony's voice finds and makes shine. Frank's version is too peppy, too swingy. There's nothing wrong with it, I just don't think it shows off the beauty of the lyrics nearly as well. This is a song meant to be slow danced to.

I lost my great nan at 1am this morning, 20th September 2022. She was 99 years old. Such an amazing,beautiful women. I will truly miss her. Until we meet again flo-jo💙A few days ago she was singing “Fly me to the moon” and now I’ve listened to it I’m a mess but the amount of memories it brings back is more than I could ever wish for. I would do anything to have them years back💔 cherish anyone who means something to you. You never know when it’ll be the last hello/goodbye💙

Came here to listen to this when I heard the news today 7/21/3023. It is the favorite of mine that he sang. I listen to everything from hardcore metal to classic country and even jazz standards like this. Tony Bennett will be missed.

Immortal version! Yeah, I used to fly first class with Northwest in the 80s when my wife was in management. Suite and tie required - I had a droopy Miami Vice outfit. All I wanted was a bottomless glass of Beck's. Dude in the commercial needs to get hooked up and he's there!

My wife and i had the pleasure of seeing Tony Bennet in concert twice in the last 10 years. Both times he ended his show belting this song out after putting the microphone down on the piano. He still had something to prove. Rest in peace Tony. You are the last of the truly great.

My late uncle Ed Spiegel of Waterloo, Iowa, was a first cousin of Bart Howard, who wrote this song. I don't think his cousin Bart had any other big hits though he wrote lots of songs. Bart Howard, I read somewhere, once said that he wrote this as a love song (not an up-tempo knee slapper), and that Tony's version was the closest to what he had in mind when he wrote it. Sounds like something Sinatra would say about Bennett's approach.

A Great Voice, and a good man. Tony befriended my maternal grandparents whe he was in town to perform. He met them by patronizing their shoe shop. Hee'd stop by to say hello when he was in the area.
