are all these man saying Tony got bodied not understanding the bars or something? Must be going over heads cos the bars are on another level to 95% of battlers atm
Most people in the audience are too slow to get Tony's Ds bars they just wanna cheer ti show they get Charlie clips references, Tony D has won almost evry battle I've ever watched including this one. Charlie clips bars were generic & could apply to anyone.
Charlie got great stage presence. Also he can freestyle in middle or beginning or end of rounds few can do this. Tony is nice that second round was crazy just Charlie more entertaining veteran not rigid
Charlie does it again. Definitely one of the best freestylers out there. He and DNA wreck everyone they face in don't flop. Tony had some nice bars but they don't stand to Charlie's schemes.
Of course the UK would be non existent over there. America doesn't really think that a world outside of America exists. That's cos you are an arrogant, self indulgent nation. UK artists have only just begun. You guys have been doing hip hop since the late 70's. Don't get me wrong - I've grown up on US hip hop, from Roxanne Shante, BDP, Mobb Deep, Public enemy, Canibus etc. But now - it seems like you guys are the ones who are getting weaker, cos all I hear nowadays is Drake, lil Wayne, Niki Minaj, Rick Ross, Meek Mil, and they'll be chattin some lame ass shit. Creativity is exactly what I'm hearing from the likes of Wiley, P money, Double S, Scrufizzer, Devlin, Shotty, Ogmios, youthoracle, Tony D etc. Their lyrical flow, delivery, and content is impressive and they talk about UK things - stuff us Brits can relate to more.
America is a massive place. Your army, film producers, directors, the biggest names like Bill Gates, Apple, Microsoft come from America. No other country can really compare. Can you all take credit for Americas success? Maybe, or maybe just the individuals who've made it big and help build America into what it is today can take credit. America has been a massive influence on the rest of the world - Like I said before I've grown up listening to all those old school artists, and I watch American blockbuster films all the time cos the production is amazing. Britain is just a small island - we've mad a big impact on the world too, and people here want homegrown acts what they can relate too - who rap in an accent similar to theirs, who talk about things we understand more etc. So yes, I'll admit America has bigger n better merchandise, but I'm proud of the stuff coming out of the UK too.
Every American understands English but most Americans have a hard time with accents. So how dumb must a person be to think its the language verses it being a problem with accents. I am convinced now that in the UK they teach you folks that accents and language are the same thing. We don't have a problem with your dialect there is however conflict with your pronunciation or intonation of the English language...
+Ty Williams I was sleeping on Tony for the longest, but I'm a believer now. Shotty still the best out of UK for me, mostly because of charisma, intensity, and delivery. Tony D might write better or occasionally have better bars overall, but Shotty has that fire that makes every punch land harder.
I cant believe eurgh sent you out there and you flopped So you only repped half your league What the FUCK. Clips got that round of this line alone!!!!!
Scorecard: Round 1:(26-19,Clips). Round 2:(26-19,Tony). Round 3:(20-16,Tony). After that first round I thought Charlie Clips had it. He killed Tony in that first round. But to be honest, Tony D. got it in my opinion. Tony killed him back in that second round, then ended up taking it in the third round. Clips could have tooken it if his last round wasn't shorten. He should have wrote more for his 3rd round, it wasn't as strong as his 1st and 2nd round. Big ups to both Emcees for putting out a great battle nonetheless! But I gotta give this one to Tony. TONY D. 2-1...
People think UK copied Americas rap scene. That isn't true because there was already a music scene in the UK known as Garage/Jungle in the early 1990's to early 2000's when Gangsta rap first started coming out through NWA, Tupac, Biggie etc. Artists like MC eksman, Shy Fx, Dillinja were known for that type of music genre but was very underground like Americas scene was. UK didn't need to take influence off Americas Rap scene cos there was already one in the UK around the same time. Regardless wether American Rap became viral the Rap scene in UK was inevitable and was going to happen anyway. The only thing The scene in America did was further escalate the genre for the UK to to take the toll and create their own version.
Maybe this is just my ignorance as an American, but I could barely understand what Tony D said. His accent was too "Chavish" if that's the word for it.
Tony clearly won this. Im a Clips fan too, the man can free schemes are crazy, but the crowd got gassed as that was his first performance in the uk. Tony wrote 3 rounds with a few rebuttals, clips lazily wrote tried to smooth it over with frees and weren't too direct. Now heres whys Tony wins, Clips said Tony was a bitter, then took 2 of his bars from this battle and used them in his battle against Hollowhan. '''wake up staring down that long nose everyday like you married barbara stristand'' ''The pen murda ink like gotti squad''
"In Harlem, Charlie might shoot achya with a gun bigger than Un Kasa let off like BOOYAKA sound like the dude SHABBA but you didn't bring it here.....news flasha you shouldn't start wars/star wars if you travel with hands solo/Han Solo like Chebacca
Cold. I'm from the states. For the record, tony D is a fuckin monster. That man needs a battle with shotty and he needs another shot at KOTD. This man is official. Charlie is dope but he's undefeated cause he doesn't do ranked matches.
Damn I love Clips but he was overhyped here for real. His 1st was the best round of the battle but he his bars fell off imo. I give him the battle because of the Tony chokes (Too much reefer boy) but thought Tonys bars were better in the 2nd and 3rd. Clips presence is what probably killed Tony
Charlie 1st round was heavy and Tondy D didn't respond on anything, that makes it clear he only wrote his... (Okay I might miss one or two lines).. Charlie 2nd killed it... Again with the 2nd.. Although Tony D got some mighty fine lines.. Charlie made it so simple.. I really enjoy his fury and the way he work up till the punch, it is some great writing skills or freestyle skills.. and everybody he doesn't see that or hear that, is just ignorant or not old enough to understand...This man is art...
Please tell me I ain’t the only one seein the tall dude I’m grey in the middle of the crowd trynna say Charlie’s bars at the same time 😭😂 mans channeling clips from the stage
International battles are usually tough to judge, unless it's a straight body bag. The references and cultures are just too different. Wouldn't be surprised to see the majority of people who think Tony D won being from the UK or Europe, while the majority of people who say Clips took it being from the U.S. International battles to me are like exhibition matches, it's kind of for fun and it doesn't really affect the rappers standings in their own leagues.
I really dont see how Charlie Clips won this. He used bars from his mixtape in some of his bars. And some of his punches were weak. His freestyle game is crazy though. But that is not enough to win a battle for me. If he had more bars then he would win. I knew this would happen because he saw the Real Deal where Tony flopped. From then, I knew he wouldn't take Tony seriously. Charlie could have bodied Tony lyrically but went the Dizaster, which is to use the crowd against you're opponent with jokes, freestyle and minimal bars. Tony 2 - 1 maybe 3-0, but only because Charlie Clips didnt care.
R u fuckin crazy? Clips killed Tony. He outclassed him--had better bars (u gonna tell me his schemes were from a mixtape? Rappers don't spit battle schemes on songs smh) he freestyled, controlled the crowd better and had better stage presence.
Alright here it is... Round #1: Charlie Clips (Clips came hard with the personals, Tony spit heavy bars but not enough landed) Round #2: Charlie Clips (Tony with them straight bars but too much filler, Charlie took it fucking home) Round #3: Tony D (Clips on some basic shit this round, Tony D killed it hands down) Winner: Charlie Clips 2-1
George Owen Wow. Quotes the simplest line and thinks he has a point. Tony did terrible. He said it himself, and when it comes to complexity Charlie had much more in his wordplay.
Mans getting vexed at me for using slang! Go punch your bed and get your aggression out. From the bottom of my heart I am sorry for making you so irritated.
Maybe Tonys bars went over a lot of your heads but in my opinion tony destroyed Charlie. Yeah Charlie got better crowd reaction and has better stage presence but Tonys Barz were too much and that's why his got the DF crown
***** Tony didn't choke..his bars were also elaborate and personal..Clips just talking about gun bars as usual..UK crowd wasn't feeling that rah rah talk, I'd say 2-1 to Tony
***** He didn't choke though. His personals that deflated Charlie's constant gun lines was on point (IMO), his chewbacca lines immediately stood out. He choked in the Real Deal battle but not here vs Charlie Clips.
No fuckin way that was a body for clips. Ur a Stan. I'm from America an tony out barred clips. It was two different battles that happened. 1. It's was about Barz ( Tony D) 2. It's was performance ( Charlie Clips) There was no body here. It's debatable at best. I can see how u say clips could win but no one died here bruh
Charlie took this 3-0 not to say Tony D dint have bars he had some insane bars, but Charlie Clips brought it harder, better bars, no chokes, sick freestyles he was on fire...my 2 cents
Tony D spit sum good lines, but Clips wasn't a fair battle for him. I think Tony should jump in some "Proving Grounds" battles and get a feel for American battles before jumping in with a vet. I think he's the best MC I heard from London.
Clips is a monster !! Who else can flip someone's written schemes and make it better ? Hollow vs. Aye verb was the last time that a scheme was rebuttaled so cleanly. Harlem rappers scheme was dope, but Clips killed that noise with a freestyle, SMDH!!
I like the direction battle rap is going... All of the leagues have good things about them... I cant wait to see league battles to happen talk about a crazy event.
Tony won, he always wins, occasionally he stumbles but if you listen to how clever every bar is its crazy & they all go over the audience's head, but they were too into cheering Charlie clips references .
Don't get me wrong if Tony D wasn't choking he probably would have taken the win but you cant give a round to someone who chokes so 2-1 Charlie but Tony D is champ for a reason
