There is a reason why there is a roswell level in Tony Hawk games. There is a video from the 80's of Tony skateing in Canada where you can see a UFO flying.

took me a sec to figure out what the heck version of game this was. i had entirely forgotten there was an Xbox version of this game, i havent ever seen it in action until now and WOW its weird seeing upscaled PS1 graphics on a more powerful console. its like looking at old PC games where they have real good looking textures for the time but are noticeably polygonal as all hell.

THPS2 is definitely one of my favorite games of all time - still play it to this day. I wish they released 2x for pc, it's such an awesome version of the game.

I always wondered if School II was possible in one run. Good to know it's not possible....I never got into speedrunning anything but if I were, it'd be something like this that I know I already have experience in. (like clearing Hangar in one run, or clearing THPS 3 100% after school every day in 27-30 mins casually) Now you got me on a THPS speedrun rabbit hole! ps- I will never get out of the habit of trying to double and triple flip in these earlier games

Great run, I loved THPS2 as a kid on PC. Didn't know that there was this "Special Edition" on XBox. Go Microsoft, make it Backwards Compatible. Although I still have an original XBox I'm not very comfortable with the old controllers anymore.^^

On the topic of the GBA versions, yes, at least THPS2 (the one I had) is well made. It's weird seeing isometric THPS but it's still pretty fun, and the devs clearly treated it well enough to replicate a solid chunk of the stuff out of the regular game on limited hardware. Graphics and quantity of levels are really the only thing that apparently suffers, but the quality overall is still there. Definitely recommend messing with 'em on emulator if you're bored, if you like the non-GBA games, it'll be worth your time just to check it out.

Ey, the Area around 21:00 minutes is the tutorial area in Tony Hawks Underground 2. Ah, memories... To completely finish it, you had to do a certain move over the half pipe, but the button combo for that trick felt like it never got restricted. You tried a thouusand times but I only managed to do the trick once. But I didn't do it over the half pipe :( (Also, Downhill Jam also reappears)

Back in the day when I was maybe 14 (edit: ca. 2005) or so, I only had an n64 with 3 games. One of which was tony hawks 2. At that time I was also obsessed with skateboarding in real life.So whenever I had to go home from real skating, I would play tony hawks. In addition to that, I did not possess that saving cartridge you needed for the n64, so I had to start the game over again every time. I got really good at this game and I was able to get the hangar 100% first try basicallly always without effort and also the school 100% consistently with just a little more effort. Maybe this rerelease changed things up a bit, but I know for certain that it is possible to get the school 100% in one run in the original n64 version.

wow, i didnt know this game would have just had all the levels. plus 3 not so impressive looking ones. (well that new skatepark looked fine) wonder why the secret level Roswell was put it but not the 2 from THPS2?

Seems like the runner had some issues making this game run smoothly, was it low batteries on the controller maybe?

I have the strangest urge to play some Tony Hawk games. Sorry, "strongest" urge. Weird.
