Gone are the times where you’d sit in your room playing this as a kid when life seemed so much simpler and happier, mum would call for dinner you’d rush downstairs to eat then hurry back to play...you felt nice and cosy. Went to bed woke up the next morning played with your friends outside rode bikes went to the park talked about all the tips and tricks on how to get secret items and locations! Then you’d come home and play again.
I’m almost in tears thinking about the genuine innocence and happiness I had playing this game back in the day. Also, I loved the soundtrack back then but now that I’m older I love it even more. All aspects of this game and THUG were spot on IMO.
7:11 is when CKY’s 96 qbb starts playing. It’s amazing how a certain song or a certain scene can take you so far back into your own memories you forgot you had..
Nostalgia just punched me in the gut. I used to play this all the time as a kid. Music is so familiar. I think I might have played a little of Pro Skater 2 and confused it. But now I know THIS was the game that was addicting as a kid and created all that nostalgia. Number 3 was the best IMO...
I used to play this with my brothers all the time as a kid. When I tell ya'll the nostalgia hits hard watching this again... I miss when times were still simple. I'm 23 but I still wish I could be a kid again just to relive these moments.
shit man im almost 29 and im still just yearning for the simple times. I have a son and i really wish they would remake this just so i could play with him.
This is the best Tony Hawk game, followed by the original and Tony Hawk 2. The rest of the series is great as well, but Tony Hawk 3 is nothing short of amazing‼️‼️‼️
@@Kasaru I remember how I was when I played this game for fun. Wasn't much different than you except I often tried atleast a few manuals to keep the combo going. Might be something you wish to try ;) I tended to simply give up when my older brother showed up and showed whos boss and made me go back to a James Bond game to kick his ass there. So many good memories...
I love all the people in the comments complaining about skill. Dear elitists; some people play Video Games for fun; and like the enjoyment or nostalgia of the game. Not everyone plays to be a sweaty tryhard edgelord and edit the video so the playthrough is flawless, and hide all those embarrassing messups to defend their ego. Some people enjoy a more natural take on the game, to remind us the person playing is in fact human; and the recording wasn't sliced into a million pieces to make it seem better then it is. For every success, there are a million failures, and it's refreshing once and a while to see a playthrough that isn't TAS quality run.
90s kid going into the 2000s third millennium was something that a lot of kids just won’t understand. Playing outside until the light poles come on, having friends over and playing games with four controllers just pure innocence and happiness.
I remember I would go over my cousin’s house and he had every gaming system. We would play 2 player THPS and it was so much fun. Then his mom would ask us “what do you want from McDonalds?” She would go pick it up for us. Eat and go back to playing this game. We would look in our cheat code magazine for all the cheats unlimited balance, etc and when night hit, my dad would be out ready to pick me up. Times were more simple.
Man... I'm kinda struggling a lot with the past, I used to play a lot THPS back then whan I was kid and a early teenager. I have 33 years old, I lived lot of things, recently I moved to Europe and everyday I feel nostalgic about my country and when I was kid and teenager. I love videogames and two month ago I found a copy of THPS2 Pal version, when I see the cover I was like: Maaan, I'm feeling so nostalgic but in a good way right now better not play cause I don't know what is gonna happen... The first song was "No Cigar" I broke in tears and I swear to God that I was back then in my childhood returning of the school, with no pressure, no pain in my heart, no depression... videogames are more than just a game sometimes. Thank you for the vid pal!
I remember playing this when I was younger on my PlayStation 2. One night I had a dream about how I discovered a hidden area of the Foundry map near the ceiling. I tried to get to the ceiling the next day when I woke up and turns out there was actually a kinda-hidden area. I felt so good that day because I didn't even know it existed.
Looks like I'm not the only one in a nostalgic mood. Bought the game when it came out and it was one of the most fun games I've ever played. I haven't played it in many years. I'm glad that I was able to enjoy the console, PC era as much as I could.
I felt the urge to play this earlier, dug out my PS2 and just played again like when I was 12. I can still 100% it but not as quickly as I used to, took me a couple hours but good fun to just bash out after a decade of not playing it. Good times, took me back.
When i say i used to play a lot i played a lot. Remember my mom was so upset cause i spend all my Summer playing this awsome game. No regrets i discover skateboarding and now i ride almost every day. So it was worth it !!!
The amount of nostalgia I’m experiencing while watching this should be illegal. It’s too much man. I remember playing this game religiously on the original Xbox. Some of my fondest and earliest memories involve me trying my hardest to beat this game. I really hope they release a remastered version of this along with THPS 1&2. Easily a top 3 video game I’ve ever played in my 26 years on this earth.
Man I been playing the fuck outta old video games here recently. Bought a PS2 like a week ago with 20 games and ordered this game off ebay along with a couple other Tony Hawk games. My eBay package is waiting at home I can't wait to get off work and play this.
Good old days for sure! I remember playing this throughout a specific summer once. Friends from day camp as well as school friends would play this and talk about it all the time, I myself would eventually get into skating myself (failed miserably, but still) and of course.. it helped me get into both metal / punk music and everything that has to do with Bam Magera / Cky / Viva La Bam & Jackass. I miss my childhood (kinda).
Wow this game I will never forget how many hours I played this when I was a kid my god I never knew how to skate board but these games are amazing miss these days
I use to make custom parks with lava all over the place and attempt to fall in. Everything about this game was damn good. I gotta rebuy this gem some day.
I used to play this as a young kid with a guy named John. Grew up a few houses away from each other. We were best friends. Good Times. So simple. I miss them.
This game was my childhood. When the newer Tony Hawk games came out and you could step off the skateboards it didnt feel the same for some reason. Also spent countless hours making maps in this game and playing the snowboard demogame or whatever it was.. I wish I stilo had a ps2.
I love how he looks like CKY Bam. I know the game came out when he was still in that phase, but everyone seems to remember him with long hair and facial hair because of Viva La Bam and the Jackass movies. It's nice when games and movies are able to capture things like that in their prime.
I remember when the first pro skater came out. They had it on demo in a wal mart(pre supercenter) me and my buddy rode our bikes up there and played the demo for hours. We were blown away. I miss that shit, i fucking hate being in my 30s.
Sitting there as a kid with my cousins PS2, playing the shit out of this with a broken leg, maybe a little bit of Sims 1 for flavor, are some of my most comforting memories after I was forced to move to Texas.
One run = One Trick. In my days we tried to make records online. I remember making 31 million point trick in airport but then someone made over 50 million. Those were the days.
Dang, its crazy to see this. So many memories coming back of playing with my big brother. Where did time go, it flies by way too quick. It would be amazing to get a thps3 remake. Glad I got the 1 and 2 remake tho! 😁 still miss the good old days tho
