From what I remember from developer interviews, every level having a Driving mission was some arbitrary requirement from Activision because some non-developer guy thought it was the coolest thing you could do in a skateboarding game. It's amazing how well this game has held up to this day. Sure, it's definitely dated -- but for a game that came out in 2003, this game still looks really good. Right down to the animations, this game just nails everything (not considering the driving of course).

Get Xpadder. I got it to run THUG on a controller to fully use the entire controller including the Triggers.

Yesss ! Finally, I found a zero stats series with an actual rad rat character model. I’ve been wanting this but I had skipped over thug1 and when straight to thug2 for some reason lol. Very handsome character model I must say haha I’m a big fan of your work Rad Rat!!

When you’re in New Jersey at the end of the game, there’s a mission that has you grind the whole city in one long combo...GOOD LUCK...I can barely keep my balance with full grind stats

I actually just played this for PS2 recently. It was my first skateboarding game ever and I had a blast. Not bad for a $13 game off ebay.

If you're having trouble with the controls, install rewasd and map the keyboard controls to your joystick. Works like a charm for underground 1&2 plus Americsn Wasteland as well.

I've just finished THPS1+2 and was thinking about getting out my PS2 and playing the old games again. I remembered buying this game and hating it as a teenager, but I didn't really remember why. 20 minutes into this video and I know I don't want to replay it. I might not even bother with THPS4 again honestly.

Rad Rat’s THPS4 Zero stats was really funny.

Here's a few tips from a PC Player: - Since you're using a gamepad, you can change the keyboard bindings to things like "A" to Ollie, "X" to Flip, "Y" to grind, "L" to Rotate Left, "C" for "Caveman", etc... It makes the button prompts much less confusing. - If you're having issues with the controller mapping you can use a software to emulate keyboard inputs, I personally like AntiMicro, it's on github. - You can disable the Draw Distance Clipping on the Launcher to get rid of the Pop-in.

I LOVE the New York level. Whenever I’m in Downtown Manhattan, I make sure to visit the spots that were in the game. Its pretty surreal.

When you're struggling with the combo challenges try getting off your board to cover some more distance and save manual balance. You saved in the wrong spot at the end BTW LOL

I've watched your zero stat runs and I realized that simple video game logic just doesn't come to everyone. You just overthink the objectives. I think it's interesting though. But big red arrows and text saying what to do is self explanatory. Love that you questioned getting nuts from nut vendors that you all ready ran over and murdered 😂

Hey Rat! Just a quick tip, inputmapper is a great program that lets you map the triggers to keystrokes. The triggers are actually analog values for pressure sensitivity but it is possible to map the threshold for each trigger

to map the Triggers in pc tony hawk games i use xpadder free version, map triggers to keyboard keys, then map then at the keyboard keys on settings , first clean every key and map those you choose for the triggers and it should work

The controller problem can easily be fixed by downloading an application to map your controller. I use Antimicro. It works flawlessly. I was able to play THAW and THUG2 on pc perfectly.

Reference for part 2, the Double Blunt Slide and Darkslide reset the balance meter. The other double tap grinds only do that partially.

Great. With Underground 2 these are the best tony hawk games ever made.

If there ever was a problem with mapping the shoulders because both of them would be recognized as one button, you can add the game to Steam, launch big picture mode, and then in big picture mode set up a custom configuration for your controller, it's easy and lets you use your shoulder buttons individually (unfortunately you have to set every binding yourself ex kp2 to x, kp8 to triangle and so on). I could send you a screenshot to how my configuration looks so it will be faster for you.

Don't ever ask a girl if they're still on for the date. Tell her you're ready and about to leave and that you'll see her soon. If she says "oh I forgot!" Or "Sorry I'm busy now" or some other nonsense, then you never respond to her again and move on with your life. She agreed to a time and a date, and you should expect her to be ready without checking in on her, if she cant respect you enough to ket you onow beforehand, then she isnt worth your time. It's a silly game and for some reason asking if the date is still on or asking if they want to meet up is the biggest turn off to them.

I know you aren't find of the driving, and honestly I'm not too keen on it these days either- but as a kid who was a good decade away from getting his L's when this game came out, I thought it was really fun back then. Probably also why I really enjoyed Driver and Driver 2, cuz those games are almost unplayable now (natively).

The T-Posing is happening because of Widescreen, not draw distance. This game was designed for 4:3; I'm assuming you had to install a custom, user-made patch to run it in 16:9, yes? If I remember correctly, it only supports 4:3 natively. That would be why
