Um... Clearly you don't know what you're talking about. WCW, as a person that actually watched it then, was super cartoony even after ERIC brought Hogan on board. I'm not marking out on Eric or anything, but Eric peaked when before WCW had a real competition with WWE.

@@kaybeeva I feel they will end the feud with a tag match where loser lose their power over the company. I think this should happen at World’s End. The match will be The Elite(Bucks, Okada, Perry, and Hangman) vs Golden Lovers(Omega and Kota), Ospreay, MJF, and Swerve. Having Kenny bring back a healthy Ibushi would be amazing. Then have him make amends with Ospreay and bring in MJF who is one of the pillars. Kenny is looking for the last member and Ospreay says he has a friend who has unfinished business and we get Swerve. From now until the lead up to Worlds End we see Perry “gifted” Collision as his show to be the face. We see Adam Copeland speak out against the Elite because he was the one to give a peace rally after the Punk situation and want everyone to come together. The Elite beats him then set up Copeland vs Perry for the TNT championship. That will lead to a beat down that has Christian return with the Patriarch and reuniting Adam and Christian. That can build towards a tag match with the Bucks at All In. At some point The Elite has to bring back heel Hangman and eventually Page has to either take the belt off Swerve or be the reason he lose it. I feel they would have to cross paths with Ospreay as well. Maybe Okada gets greedy and want Will’s title as well down the road. MJF already has history with Jack when he planted the seeds in him to be heel prior to their four pillars match.theres enough there to get to the point where Kenny and Ibushi are healthy for the ending of the feud.

It's not that it's terrible. It's that all the context behind what's going on can't really be highlighted on AEW TV. So, unless you were paying attention to everything over the last two years, you don't know what the hell is going on... You can't build an audience like that. However, if you liked it.. you did.. He's writing for his *nudge, nudge* *wink, wink* crowd.

@@travisprice1325 AEW is geared towards the niche hardcore audience first then ease everyone else in. I would have to think that most of their audience either is online enough to know what’s going on or willing to look it up. Now you’re right that full context will be lost for new or a casual audience but I think if you only watched Dynamite and ppvs you will get the story told. The Bucks lost their contender title match to the Golden Jets and had a tantrum and left. They came back abusing their EVP power to get what they want more easier. Story wise we’ve seen FTR and Punk tag together for a bit so we know they were close or bare minimum know each other enough to be on good terms. Bucks playing the tape connected FTR to Punk by association and it showed “why” Perry was suspended. What Perry was doing that whole time has some context lost, but they did show he was in NJPW. I think there’s enough there like 80% to get the story not knowing context or the off the show promos they do on social media. I could be wrong since I have the context in hindsight

@@travisprice1325i dont know. It’s been a consistent thing that The Elite are EVPs. We saw their story with Kenny Omega and Hangman play out over several years. We saw Jack Perry turn heel. They even aired the footage from All In. There’s definitely an extra layer of backstage drama someone could be missing out on, but this storyline started years before the Punk fight

Because Tony Kahn is goofy as hell that's the problem. Even though Vince and Eric was involved in their stories they had a character.

WWE is entertainment. AEW made a big song and dance about being wrestling. AEW attacks WWE for this kinda stuff, that’s the difference.

I think it’s because Tony has this image of being a lolcow mark. It’s lack of self awareness. It was cringe when Eric made himself a part of NWO and smoking cigars with Hogan on live TV and it was cringe when Vince was in storylines where he was making out with the divas. And it’s also cringe that Tony Khan, with all this “markness” reeking all over him, becomes a TV character. Also at least Vince and Eric can talk on the mic.

Its because TK publicly said he wont be a TV character like Vince and Eric, just like when he said he wont fire his wrestlers and simply not extend their contracts if he doesnt want them anymore That's what makes it different from WWE or WCW, because it made him look like a giant hypocrite, doing everything he said he won't do

Okay, but do it with a group of people who look like they’ve actually been in a fight and more importantly, like they could actually win a fight. These little clowns look like they might lose a fight to some of the nerds in the audience. Tony Khan looked about the same size as Jack Perry, I’ve seen more muscle on a butcher’s pencil. I feel sorry for Okada (at least he’s probably being well paid though).

1000%! The toxic part of the IWC will hate anything they do just because it’s AEW even when their complaints makes zero sense like “this is like WCW 2000” or “this is like TNA with Hogan”. If they actually watched those companies at those times then they wouldn’t be saying that. I wish people watched wrestling they enjoy and let others enjoy wrestling they enjoy. That’s the tragedy of AEW. As wrestling fans we waited decades for a possible end to the WWE monopoly(or whatever you define how it was pre AEW) and as soon as one comes around all the former WWE employees who can’t get work came with their podcasts to shit on AEW like The Avengers. How people feel on twitter shouldnt matter regardless, but ESPECIALLY when you see how ignorant the hate is, it holds no weight. These are people who would complain if AEW cured cancer

Agreed! We live in a "Golden Age of Wrestling". Both AEW, WWE are offering some excellent, fun angles right now. People should watch the best of both companies and enjoy.

@@christophermarriott1681 from what you've seen most likely but there's people out there who enjoy AEW but have criticisms only thing is they ain't that vocal compared to the ones who I'd you say anything negative about AEW then they might wish you get deleted from existence. I like AEW but it feels like it's been kinda struggling for a while mainly due how Tony Khan acts sometimes. Sure AEW has signed big free agents but that doesn't automatically mean they're amazing and the best. Fanns can have criticism it's just that some decide to be negative just cause while a portion have negatives but also have positives

1 is TK said he never wanted to be any kind of on screen talent. Secondly, everyone knows the NFL stuff is coming up and he would be involved with that. Vince McMahon did let invent that story either. Every wrestling company ran these angles especially in the territory days. People swear Vince invented everything.

This absolutely puts things perfectly. The tribalfest that is the IWC has been making it harder for me to even introduce people further and further into wrestling as a whole; let alone for me to enjoy. I'm still gonna keep trying my best to just enjoy wrestling from all promotions, so I recommend people do that too.

Like part of the enjoyment for most people is having a community or people to talk about the show with, but that’s hard to do when every AEW video, Twitter post, Instagram post, content creator’s videos mentioning AEW comment section is filled with trolls, bots and anti AEW replies. It kills excitement seeing that constantly where you almost have to find AEW defenders who are a bit too close to being a tribalist themselves just to get positivity. I’m all for criticisms to help them grow, but people saying AEW is dying, AEW is empty, has low ratings compared WWE, and they have no stories when they do isn’t criticism. That’s just hate masking as criticism so they have an excuse. It’s bs because AEW is dwarfed by the size WWE fanbase is so it doesn’t take much for them to distort things. Tribalism is bad regardless of the company they are simping for, but WWE tribalism has more impact due to size. Most of those fans aren’t wrestling fans, just WWE fans because they couldn’t care less about other companies. They rather see AEW close down and everyone lose their jobs just to say I win when they have no stocks or employed by WWE. A wrestling fans wants everyone to succeed even the ones that they don’t like for the sake of the industry.
