Tony Parker thanks his San Antonio Spurs family and reflects on his 17 season journey with the franchise as his No. 9 jersey goes into the rafters forever.
Damn it really is a true end of an era. Grew up watching the big 3 play and win championships. I’ll never forget the memories they created and watching them all play together.
Duncan, Parker & Ginobili (Spurs) 575 wins 126 playoff wins Bird, McHale & Parish (Celtics) 540 wins 92 playoff wins Johnson, Abdul-Jabbar & Cooper (Lakers) 490 wins 110 playoff wins There will never ever be another trio like TD, Manu and TP. Class acts!
@@thomasjefferson2813 ...... and the spurs did it without going beyond the salary cap & playing 1 of the smallest markets in the nba ......... that's very impressive .......
Actually all played way longer than they should cos of had their minutes limited n great conditioning of their bodies in reality all 3 could played 2 years more if they wanted.
Probably the only hardcore spurs fan from India here..... Thanks to Tim, manu, tony and pop, RC And all for such wonderful memories all the last twenty years.... May the new core with Murray and Bryn keep the spurs way going on strong.... Go spurs go....
Nope man. You still have no idea of how big the Spurs family in India is...You haven't met me and my 2 other friends (Pavan and Dhiraj) otherwise you would have known there are more to the family. Been a Spurs fan for over 19 years now. When Lakers were winning and everyone was a fan of their dominance , I was only and only enchanted by how well oiled the Spurs were and immediately became a fan and am proud to have stuck by them. #GoSpursGo
The tear drop. Euro step. Statue of Liberty. Theses where all the signature moves from the big 3. Thank you for the amazing childhood memories. It was really fun to watch you guys.
I remember this quote from years ago from someone that goes: "When the subject of the greatest point guards today is brought up, Tony's name doesn't get mentioned. But Tony Parker has more RINGS than all of them COMBINED."
@@265308 I think this quote was said back in 2012-13 when elite point guards like Irving, CP3, Wall, Dame were the talk of being the greatest point guard of that time. Thats why he said "one of the greatest point guard of today" not "one of the greatest pg of all time"
@@stuartlittle5940 oh that makes perfect sense now...but 2 b honest let be realistic.. Parker never won a championship without TIMMY N MANU as teammates. Just like Kobe never won shit without Shaq then later without Pau Gasol....
My girlfriend thinks his dreads look weird and yeah I never imagined he’d do that. It doesn’t look great but it’s Timmy so fuck it we love him anyway, he’s a beast
@@realnsenpai They have been together for almost 2 decades and year after year they make the playoffs. Again they are the BEST TRIO in the NBA hands down
@@realnsenpai Most regular season wins, most playoffs wins and MOST titles as a trio. And if you go by duos, top 3 spots in playoffs wins are combinations of Duncan, Parker, Ginobili.
I like he mentioned about Patty, Tiago, Matt even George Hill, (and Roger Mason!!!) but not Kawhi Leonard, and also last time "Go Spurs Go!!!" from trhe crowd, that was spezial
Playing for coach Pop is a win itself. If you’re an NbA player and u manage to play your whole career as a Spurs you definitely are winning in not just basketball but life! Pop is truly a one of a kind human being. Those guys are really family once life after basketball. Such a beautiful thing to see.
Wonderful, we love you Tony here in France !! I'm 19 and I love Spurs thanks to you, you're one of the best players all time, in my opinion of a french man! Merci Tony, tu as fait rayonner la France à travers le monde !
We love you Tony!!! Spurs fan from Cali here. I just wanna thank you for being my favorite Point Guard. I never been so amazed by a Point Guard who cant dunk. You're amazing. You proved you dont need to be a super athletic player to win. You played your role. You earned the title Spurs Legend. And you deserve your number being retired and hung in the rafters. Congratulations and "Merci" Tony. I was upset you left to Charlotte, however it's Always gonna be GoSpursGo !! . #9TonyParker. #SpursLegend Thank you.
@@MrMattonico my bad bro, i thought that the thumbnail suggests it. But still i know he wants to be there with his brothers like in the ceremonies of Tim and Manu.
@@anrenilimin5634 oh, np, I'm actually quite a big fan of him, shame he wasn't there though, when he gave that speech at Manu's ceremony I almost cried
Thank you for the rings Tony, so much fun watching you play with the greatest PF of all time and the greatest 6th man of all time. Very deserving and fitting #9 goes in the rafters alongside #21 and #20. Next stop: Springfield! Merci Tony!!!!!!!!!!
Pop must be proud of his 3 children tony, Manu, Tim whom he will never have ever again in Spurs history. In the early 2000s, the NBA had something that it will never have coming into 2020 + more years to come
But Kawhi is now with DOC RIVERS who ain't no scrub....remember TIM DUnCAN was gonna join DOcs ORLANDO MAGIC until Robinson convinced him to stay. FACTS
these 3 Tony Manu Tim were a big part of me when I was younger, they were part of the 4 best reasons of why I love the NBA right now it was: Spurs' big 3 and Pops and Championships, Lakers Kobe-Shaq and Championships and Spurs Rivalry, T-Mac Scoring Greatness and The emergence of Lebron James...and for that and now all of Spurs' big 3 are forever going to be remembered in Spurs' NBA's and Basketball's history...Thank You you guys =D
My Spurs love can't go away the way the team stuck together and just created greatness was inspiring and it literally, as you can see by our fans, continued further down right into the community. My twin brother and I shared our love and excitement for the team and have memories with my cousins and friends that are priceless and all are die hard SPURS fans for life. The Spurs family and I genuinely have that family like love for my team. Tony Parker surprised me the most with his loyalty I was wrong for ever doubting him what nice from his heart comments in his speech. TP9 I'll miss you. "I'm the boss tonight," he says to Pop. Epic night!!! GSG
@UCVFKmxcY1Y-Ihjpxrkk5fow it's too early to come to that conclusion.... Patty mills could be one hopefully.... Plus Sean elliot and Bruce bowen got their Jersey's retired they weren't the best of the best..... Praying every day that the spurs improve........
Thank you Tony for all you have done with the Spurs. I will always look up to you from the moment you step into the Spurs and forward enjoy your retirement bless you and your family.
TP a legend! What a men, what a player! We are going to miss you a lot. With all my respects for what you have done, i wish you the best for the rest of your life, you deserve it.
I only played basketball cuz of the way I saw the spurs played, Tim , manu, and tony made me believe in myself, I grew up watching them play and I will always be a spurs fan for life!!! Thank you Tony!!!!!
Merci Tony! I love you so much man thanks for everything you did for the Spurs you're my favorite Spurs all-time player! GO SPURS GO forever! Jesus is Lord
Wow! Tony you are that Player who any team dream with got it for the rest of one Life, your moves and perfect shots and wins games like take a candy to a baby. You are Amazing guy thanks for help to our Star Manu Ginobili and be part of the history of San Antonio Spurs. Always stay in my heart. Love you Man
