Tony Randall and Jack Klugman on their acting partnership in the revival of Neil Simon's, "The Sunshine Boys" on Broadway. Randall also discusses producing for The National Actors Theatre, a company he founded.
I loved these two men together or separately. I actually cried when Tony Randall passed away. Jack klugman too I know he lived a full life but both should of been around a little longer. I still watch the rerun of the odd couple. Never get tired of watching them. And still laugh even though I have watched it a million times. Rest in peace Jack klugman and Tony Randall.
Wow...and at that point in their lives Tony Randall would live another six years (to age 84) and Jack Klugman would live another fourteen years (to age 90). What nice, long runs. God bless them both!!!
As great as Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon were in the Odd Couple movie, Tony Randall and Jack Klugman were the only two actors who could match them. And it is heartwarming to know that Matthau and Lemmon were close lifelong friends in real life as was Randall and Klugman. Personal and professional chemistry like that cannot be manufactured...you've got it or you don't. God bless them all in the afterlife.
Would have loved to have a pastrami sandwich with these two. What great faces, great personalities. Tony and Jack are my favorite TV actors. The Oddcouple of course. A day a the racetrack with Jack (The Sport of Kings). And a day with Tony at the Georgian National Ballet. Well, Its nice to imagine. Farewell you two, it was a great pleasure watching you perform on Television. Sorry that I missed you in Theatre.
THE ODD COUPLE ONE OF MY FAVORITES OF ALL TIME R.I.P 🙏 JACK AND TONY THEIR FRIENDSHIP WAS SPECIAL IN REAL LIVE GOD BLESS THEIR SOULS LOVE YOU TONY AND JACK 🌟🌟✌️
I saw The Sunshine Boys on Broadway starring these two national treasures. It was a delightful play. And they sold a souvenir tongue depressor autographed by them both to raise money for Tony’s National Actors Theater. I still have it today! I’m so fortunate that I saw them live together.
Love these two guys and my kids love the Odd Couple too. So another generation will watch into, God willing, 2099 and beyond. Thanks. James. P.S. Saw the sunshine boys that year and got a souvenir.
Thank you for this two of my favorite actors. I actually met Tony Randall outside the National Theater and he was very pleasant. Again I am such a fan of the show, it is like an acting class. Keep up the good work.
Wow....20...almost 21 years ago...LION KING still going strong...and the National Repertory Thetear closed since soon after TOony Randall's death in 2004. (sigh) Maybe Julie Taymor and Elton Jo hn can help get the repertory company started again!
