Imagine this, what if Tony Stark became the Sorcerer Supreme instead of becoming Iron Man. What would that mean for Doctor Strange? And more importantly how would this divergence change the MCU.
Tony Stark being the master of the mystic arts could be huge. Just imagine Tony using magic in his battles in the MCU.
But would that mean that he will never use his suits and armor and create amazing technology?
Well we here at CBR believe that Tony Stark will still use his tech, as he will combine magic and science to become one of the most powerful beings in the whole universe, possibly the multiverse.
Iron Man is already very formidable with his amazing technology, but just imagine him using Uru-made armors infused with magic. Now that will be something amazing.
With Tony becoming the Sorcerer Supreme the MCU could change forever. We all know that Tony Stark is obsessed with making amends for his past, as well as trying to make the world a better place. So you could imagine what Tony will do with amazing magical powers. The universe could become a much safer place, but Tony might go a bit too far with his obsessions, to the point the other Avengers might end up clashing with him for freedom.
The potential is limitless when it comes to Tony Stark being the Sorcerer Supreme. So let’s fire up the What If machine, and see what the MCU would look like with Tony Stark being the Sorcerer Supreme.

After the Infinity Saga, Marvel Studios focuses on standalone movies for Phase 4, and this would have a big impact on the MCU. The batch of Marvel Movies that make up Phase 4 are going to drastically change the MCU. After the Infinity Saga, Marvel Studios took a short hiatus to have a little bit of separation between the first 23 film installment and its next chapter, the franchise has confirmed their slate for the next few years giving us an idea about what to expect from the film series universe moving forward. MCU's Phase 4 film line-up is a mix of sequels and origins stories; this offers the public a balanced roster of projects that includes something familiar with the return of established characters and the introduction of new key players. There's no word yet on another Avengers 5 which somehow makes sense following Avengers: Endgame as the universe is currently on a rebuilding phase. However, just because there's no ensemble event on the horizon, that doesn't mean that the franchise won't undergo massive changes via the upcoming standalone offerings. At this point, it's still uncertain when Marvel Studios can officially kick-off Phase 4 given the current global health crisis. There's still a chance that the current slate can change depending on how things shake out in the next few months, but with an announced slate, we have more or less an idea how the next few years will shape the long-term future of the franchise. The events of small screen projects will help Marvel Studios drive the point that these Disney+ endeavors are as significant to the MCU as their movie counterparts.

Doing it thru Yinsen in the first Iron Man film would mean you'd have to change Yinsens origin story. Wouldn't it make more sense if the whole MCU timeline stayed the same up until after meeting Dr Strange in Infinity War? That way he could of started studying the mystical arts with Wong at the New York Sanctum. He just found out about the Sorcerers so surely he would of been curious during those 5 years before the time heist and would of wanted more answers after Strange's death.

Tony Stark is dead. They can easily bring him back. You throw enough money at RDJ and he will come back. He can just mystically reappear with everybody going what what what how. The power of the stones. You can bring back Thanos as well. Mystic universe powers that conjured up and respawned the dead. And you can even say they didn't die they were just in stasis.

Hey cbr if tony used magic to come out of the cave then the small version of arc reactor won't be created at that point of time so instead of arc reactor he would go to kamartaj for magical powers that will heal him so a mini arc reactor may not be created ever. Only the need of the human being motivates him to think out of the box. So if tony is sorcerer supreme then no iron man or vice versa.

Well if that happened, Tony would win Civil War and kill Bucky. But Pete would still be Spider-Man but he doesn't meet Tony. Vision and the Maximoff Twins also aren't involved in the Avengers anymore since Vision doesn't have any Infinity Stone now and The Maximoff Twins don't have their powers.
