And, might I add, people admitting when they’re wrong or have been under informed. Too much of the Labour-voting public are far too proud to admit that they do not understand the total picture of politics today. Most people just vote based on their own personal agendas, when the reality is that it takes good research before voting. It’s a bloody responsibility to the state!

Tony Bellew is a classic example of someone looking through milk bottles when viewing the EU project. It's about me, me ,me. How much things will go up or down. Why i cannot freely travel across Europe now. I can only stay in the EU project for 90days only now. It's all about them. Those of us who can see a wider view know it is a lot more then that as Nigel said it's about sovereignty, border control, making our own laws but that seems to be above them. I have the feeling there are certain Remainer voters that could be classed as intellectually challenged - as the Remainer establishment tried to smear Brexiteers with, err Gammons anyone?. They only see what they want to see and that is how it affects just them only and not the country in general.

Can someone explain what laws the UK could now implement to better itself ? That it couldn't do before ?
@robertstancer4469
@robertstancer4469 8 месяцев назад
@@njwtube I'll make it as simple as i can. As Nigel explained, we no longer have to accept any law the EU project passes. We are now free to to carry on making our own laws that are not contrary to any EU law. For example, the EU project passed a law that obligated member states to take their "fair share" of economic migrants still in the EU. The EU project has levied a fine of 22,000euros per person that they reject. See Poland and Hungary for examples. So in answer to your question, it is NOT "laws to better itself", ALL laws have this as their intention, it is we are no longer BOUND by EU project laws - ANY OF THEM. If we like one of their ideas, there is no reason we can pass this IN OUR law making chamber. Just like the EU project that is now adopting Britains way of tackling economic migrants by suspending the Schengen agreement and closing Frau Merkels door and controlling migration..

Well done Tony, your comparing price at or around to Covid to now where the whole world is having rocket high inflation from the aftermath of COVID, the Russia Ukraine war (oil, grain), India’s rice embargo, etc… It’s not majorly down to brexit. Portugal, Spain, Italy for example have the climate to grow all the food in their diet. Hence, they don’t have to import very much from abroad that incurs any tariffs, international transport and fuel use, compliance and bureaucracy . We have a varied diet, high taxes on bad things like sugar and alcohol (I like both but understand the benefit of taxing both on the healthcare and general economy), and therefore rely on naturally more expensive imported food from around the world that has to match our standards, subject to global fuel inflation. I think people forgetting that the price of oil was between half to a quarter of what is has been this last year before COVID and funnily enough when we were in the EU so naturally the cost throughout the supply change was less and therefore cost to consumers was less. Maybe we did some of our own research we wouldn’t ask silly questions

High street dying? Business rates tax & online retails lack of tax. Immigration a problem? Stop the foreign skills shortage visas and study visas. House prices nuts? Build some more! Food prices rocketing? Stop paying farmers to retire & to cut their ‘CO2’. Utility prices unaffordable? Stop being party to a war between US & Russia by proxy (Ukraine). Debt absolutely crippling? @@lukemonty Luke...I dont know how the public would vote now...and unless you are God i don't think you can make that claim. I'm assuming that you voted to remain because not many people that i meet have changed their opinions. The many that i know that did vote leave - are even more convinced that they did the right thing now. As for your first point: that leavers...were dumb...or uninformed (some say racist too) that's another anecdotal guess, and offensive to millions. If Jose and Tony are anything to go by - I would say that they (as remainers) are remarkably uninformed. Wouldn't you? I worked for 40 years in international publishing...I have studied the politics of Europe for many years...I would assert like millions of other Brits that national sovereignty is something of great value. Something that many have laid down their lives to defend.

So even a limited Brexit is still working in our favour. Also food inflation is world wide and caused by lockdown and the Ukrainian war, not Brexit. If it was caused by Brexit it would just be the UK thats affected, not everywhere else and we Would be in recession, but we are Not !

Stop the foreign skills shortage visas and study visas. House prices nuts? Build some more! Food prices rocketing? Stop paying farmers to retire & to cut their ‘CO2’. Utility prices unaffordable? Stop being party to a war between US & Russia by proxy (Ukraine). Debt absolutely crippling? Shouldn’t have spent £1tn on lockdown (this one’s debatable).

@clownbag

That's not true at all. Where did you get the idea that todays price rises are due to pay rises? There are many factors that influence inflation. Pay rises can increase inflation but are typically used to offset the effects of inflation. Most people asking for raises are asking for their pay to rise in line WITH inflation. They are not really asking for a raise. They are asking for their pay not to be docked. They are asking for their real wages, which are adjusted for inflation, to remain constant.

Then if my wife came in and said “no! you WILL take him to the zoo!” He would win, but I would make sure he had the $hittiest day and the worst experience at the zoo that he’d wished he’d never asked or want to go again. That’s what happened when we gained Brexit from Europe and that’s what the EU and all those remainers in our Conservative party and civil service have been doing to us ever since! The fight is not over!
