If you REALLY want to improve your salah you would need to find/come up with your OWN tips/lessons so: 1. Keep a prayer journal: After each prayer write how you felt, if u got distracted and by what. And then reflect. Why did you feel the way you felt? Are they really valid/true feelings? Are the things you got distracted with important enough that you acted upon them as soon as you finished salah? Or were they just useless reminders? If so, why do you have them? Etc.. 2. Have lessons learned section. After each reflection, write your conclusions. I personally had the following lessons learned: A. Always prioritize praying: dont start a big project before you pray. B. Its about the now: Dont dwell about the past or think about the future. be present as if you were just been born with clean slate and no baggage. Its always about the now, if you got distracted in the first rak3a dont let it effect your second act as if it didnt happen and focus on attaining the present moment always. C. If your feeling guilty about something ask for forgiveness then forgive your self and move on. For instance some people feel like a hypocrite when they pray because they have done a bit of sin here and there before they prayed or they got distracted during prayer, when that happens just ask Allah for forgiveness and move on, it would be irrational if you lingered. D. Treat each prayer like a reset button. come to it as if you know nothing and you'd like to be guided by Allah E. Dont start your prayer while your bladder is full. always make sure its empty so it wouldnt distract you while your with Allah. F. Dont pray on a full stomach G. if you caught your self getting distracted pause what your reciting until your mind is clear again, its disrespectful when you continue talking to Allah while your mind is elsewhere H. to minimize the chances of you getting distracted while with Allah, dont watch/read something exciting right before you pray. In fact, reflect on and praise Allah for at least a little while before you pray. I. If your not feeling connected to Allah during the prayer do the following: Ps: Im still experimenting with this point - Ask Allah for forgiveness that your not feeling it and ask him to help you to get connected - try to feel the words your reciting as if they were literally coming from your heart not your mouth/head Best of luck to all of you May Allah help us all
So I watched this yesterday, and I just came here just to say thank you. I've been struggling for so long to pattern my salah but I've always struggled. I'm just a teen and I'd never been the type to pray all the time but today for the first time I prayed properly for each prayer. So I created a timetable to work around prayer times, like my exercise, study, and shower + wudhu were made to fit all the prayer times (I used an app to help). Even then I still had plenty of time to relax and do whatever I wanted. At first when my mum accidentally walked into my room whilst I was praying she was surprised but praised me for connecting with God. I'm going to try my best to continue this for the rest of my life. Thank you again sister.
THIS! It makes me feel so guilty that it’s something so basic and one of the pillars of Islam, yet I struggle so much to it like it’s the most difficult thing in the world. Astaghfirullah 😔
@@alyanarajahussen8888 no same! Even though when I made my first comment, I was at such a high, now things have fallen back down again and I completely understand where you're coming from, but inshallah we both get back on track with our salah 🙏🏻
I've been struggling with Time Management. So much so that now I'm torn between whether to pray or do my work and then end up procrastinating. I've been searching for solutions to manage time wisely... But just realized that it was Salah all along.... 😥 May Allah guide us to pray 5 times a day with great focus and perfection. Ameen
Just remind of yourself of your final destination, the Qabr and you will feel compelled to read your Salaah. If this doesn't help then atleast force yourself to read because Walahi there is nothing more important than your creator.
A prayer costs like, 5 minutes each, and I've been lazy enough to not give these 5 minutes to allah, may allah forgive us and get us back on the right path
Sala never a burden, at times I'm so tired or I don't feel well . But I feel so good after I do Sala. You're so right ,I was eating and heard my Adan going off so I stopped and prayed.
This video was uploaded 4 years ago, but this video still helps me to pray to this day, whenever i don't feel like praying, i come to watch this video and it still motivates me. Thank you so much for uploading this incredible video. It really helped me
Jazakumallah who khair Im a kid whos been trying to keep up my salah schedule Its been a bit sloppy but thank you very much for this advice and i love you’re examples! Ill try to remember you and this when im about to pray!
I'm a revert, so salah has been difficult. I know how to do salah, but I let my families comments get to me (even though they call themselves Muslims) they always would say "haven't you already prayed today?" "You're praying again?" "You'll never be allowed to wear hijab until you finish college" (I'm in highschool). It gets very difficult to do salah when everyone in your life tried to stop you from it. Inshallah I will make my five daily prayers, regardless of what my family says. May allah forgive me and this ummah.
I struggles with this too. I struggled with it mostly bc of my parents (one is muslim the other one not) and i was the first one to start to practice Islam. Alhamdulillah things changed, they became more accepting and i was able to wear the hijab. It’s been almost 2 years now, my sister recently started practicing islam aswell together with my dad. Alhamdulillah, i made a lot of dua for them. May Allah grant all of the muslims who struggle to practice islam ease and Jannah.
Thank you so much sister! Im a muslim and im trying to get back into praying regularly but ive been so depressed lately ive been unable to even get out of bed and i feel so guilty for not praying but inshallah allah makes this journey easy for me.
Wow jazak Allah . Your examples are really helpful and informative, I am really trying to push myself for my 5 prayers and you really did give me a really good head start
Jazak allah khair.. i was so lazy for days ..something striked me in your talk" dont expect anything without giving".may allah give the strenghth not to miss salah anymore
5 tips 1. It’s a way to purify and cleanse yourself 2. Use reminders from your phone (download an app) 3. Prayer first and everything else second. If you are scheduling things in your day make sure your schedule salah into your day 4. You need to give some of your time back. This is a very small ask from Allah and it’s the least we can do 5. Make duaa
As Salamu Alaikum, accepting Islam late, I cannot imagine what it would be like not making Salah. How much I've learn myself through it all, Allahu akbar - this was a good bit, strong, we could see your confidence and passion....thank you. Allah is Kind. Communication, something I remembered from a old khutbah, say what you mean and mean what you say, place the person before the purpose, and always place kindness between the two.... I had to share, I been taking you in today, you're always at the top of my feed, wa alaikum as salam....so much can be said about the five daily prayers, continue to teach, you're a natural.
Hi , sister . I am really happy that I found your vedio , I used to be very disciplined with prayers but lately I started to feel less connected to God, I struggle a lot to keep up with praying five times a day , I feel bad because I no longer feel this peace I used to feel when I pray instead I just feel like praying is a difficult task that I have to do everyday . This really concerns me so much, especially that I am not surrounded with religious people or someone to guide me or give me advice in my family . I feel really alone and lost at this 😞
The things is i feel exhausted bcz every 4rakahs take 10minutes🙂And my friends or family finishes theirs at 5/6minute...I always finish my salah last...🙂Thats why i get demotivated..
Thank you, Sis. These are some excellent tips. I'm a revert and single mom of 3 without familial support. My schedule is insane. I work full-time and my kids go to 3 different schools- elementary, middle school, and high school. I feel as though I'm constantly on auto-pilot & I drive a lot. I struggle so much to make salah. I'm constantly distracted & it's easy for me to forget even with reminders. However, I'm gonna make more of a conscious effort this year. My dream is to transition to a work from home job so that I can spend more time with the kids & be able to take them to Jummah on a consistent basis. But, I will need to become disciplined in order to do this. So, I will start with salah. Please make dua for me.
Sheikh Hakeem youtuber gave us a great tips. During group meetings at work, I excuse myself because I have to go to the bathroom. No one ask me where I am going. Also zohr where I live starts from 12 to 3 and asr is 3 to 5 so we have 2-3 hours to catch our prayers. Even if there is meetings we can pray before or after the meetings for example if the meeting is in the second half of the duration time like 2:30. Then Pray zohr at 1. If the meeting is at 1 then pray after the meeting. Unless it’s a 3 hour meeting which I have never seen. Like we play peekaboo lol. Fajr or isha there is no meeting for me. I think it’s all about self discipline, tenacity, steadfast. Do it like you love it. Also I usually spend like 1 min for wudhu and 2 mins for prayer. She is very generous and fair to say it take 5 min. It’s much less than that and if you keep. Your wudhu like pray zohr fore asr starts you get two prayers for one single wudhu for those who can’t hold there wudhu. It’s like three wudhu a day. Lol That’s my trick. ;)
Salam sister, really wanna appreciate you efforts i really admire what you are doing. I just wanted to say that i have recently started suffering from ocd/waswas regarding my wudu/prayer and it has gotten pretty bad specifically regarding the niyyah i never had issues before but now ever since i read too deep into Islamic pages that say everything is invalid without niyyah etc i have gotten paranoid and I keep saying what prayer im praying loudly then i mumble it quietly and even still im not satisfied and i keep getting thoughts that maybe i didn’t say fard/Sunnah or i mispronounced the name of the salah (even tho I didn’t really) and i keep breaking and repeating its really bad. I also don’t want to say it out loud cause then im doing bidah but I say it just Incase you know cause i be doubting my own self. I try to go back to not saying anything at all and just praying immediately after wudu but i get scared midway that what if this is not the proper intention and my salah gets rejected so i start saying it out and then mumble it quietly a bunch of times. Pls help sister
Salam, with regards to ocd, i would suggest speaking with a professional who can diagnose it properly and prescribe ways to manage it, if you haven't already. With regards to the niyyah in prayer, the consensus of scholars agree that this lies in the heart so you don't need to worry about saying it/not saying it/how you said it/if it's correct etc. The fact that you are taking part in the act of Wudu or praying a certain prayer, that means your niyyah is already there inshAllah, since you wouldn't have started this action if you didn't naturally feel the intention or inclination in your heart to do so. May Allah ease your worries and accept all your good deeds.
May الله reward you sister and grant you jannatul firdaws And I gotta say that you spoke some at the end of the video when you said we want more but we barely give to الله what he deserves
MashaaAllah Allahumma Barek sister your channel is by far my favorite. Is give off a beautiful, tranquil, and welcoming vibe! May Allah (swt) bless you. Ameen ❤️
بارك الله فيكي يا اختي الكريمة. May allah increases your faith make your heart heart even more firm in the remembrence of him. If u can do something for me please i wznt u to make a duaa for me abd ask allah to make increase my imaan and stengthen my heart in remembering him. Thank u.
Summary: 1. Understand that prayer is to cleanse yourself from sins constantly 2. Utilise the tools and apps to nudge you around prayer times 3. Schedule things around your prayers as a priority 4. Don't expect to get when you don't give - salah is the least that we can do to show gratitude to Allah 5. Du'a - O Allah, I seek refuge from incapability and laziness
I try hard but end up being lazyy...i cry inside for losing the capability of being consistent...I want to pray but with heart where i won't leave thiss evverr again...😢pleasee tell me what do I do 😭😭😭... May Allah grant you more good deeds and fruitful akhirahh.. akhi/ukhti

If you are lazy go do prayer because you do the sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him) start with praying without sunnah and gradually by time pray with all the sunnahs
