That whole fiasco with Hershey still makes me smile. These dunces didn't think to pay for refrigerated shipping on chocolate, something that melts at like room temperature.
@@jj947 Even for as cringy as a lot of the 80s gender swap movies were, they at least tried to make a point about the characters gaining some better perspectives and what not. Ladyballers is just an amalgamation of all these esoteric right wing memes and it just goes nowhere.
Bryan Quinby is a delight- I don't remember what other episode you guys had him on but it got me into his Guys podcast, of which has now became a staple of my week.
Bryan is so funny because he's been podcasting almost longer than anyone but he always sounds like it's his 2nd time ever in front of a microphone like he's fumbling over his words and constantly having technical issues, I love it.
@@L_Martin They don’t want to exclude “nonbinaries” so they say “transfem” and “transmasc”. Which, I mean, that’s technically more accurate than “male to female”, because at least it conveys how these dudes are just transitioning towards sexist stereotypes TLDR: men amirite
The producers of Lady Ballers (the most triggering comedy of the year), Were super triggered by Barbie... Which was actaully a well done and orginally comedy.
"Here's a container of tic-tacs for 15 dollars." Conservative: "That price is ludicrous! I'm not paying tha-" "It'll trigger the libs..." Conservative: *"I'LL TAKE TWELVE!"*
All they did was put a label on a generic chocolate bar, and called it "anti-woke"... They made an entire industry out of being anti-woke, whatever that even means.
just like with rod dreher, dinesh d'souza and whoever else, the thing about boring is that he's so bad at making things he can't help but lay his soul bare in a movie that's supposed to mock trans people and just women in general. if there's any value in their movies/writings is that we can see what being conservative does to a person and that it's never pretty
When it's right-wingers telling you you're acting deranged, that's reassuring. When it's women (feminists, lesbians, women's rights campaigners) from within the left... uhh... well best not think too much about that eh?
@@L_Martin That’s why they “rightwash” the issue. They focus on homophobic clowns like Rod and ignore the litany of women and socialists who have been critiquing the transgender medical complex for *years.* Decades, even. It’s easier for them to lie when they strawman their opponents are uniformly right-wing religious nutjobs and not, like, middle aged lesbians.
@@wormwoodcocktailYeah, I'm embarrassed to say that back when I was more heavily into Chapo and spent more time in leftist spaces on and offline, I never got a anything approaching an accurate picture of what the criticisms of gender identity theory were, because that "rightwashed" straw man lens was the only lens I was seeing the arguments through. It's a really scary blindspot and it's got the Left in a death spiral. I'm glad I went outside my tribe and went to the source to see what the actual arguments were, because that's clearly the problem here: outsourcing your thinking to people you trust and who you think are good decent people, and assuming they are regurgitating the arguments of their opponents in good faith or even accurately.
@@L_Martin It’s because they have no response other than “Ben Shapiro short”, “Conservatives bad”, “2 mad to be funny”, etc. And I’m 100% with you about regurgitating other’s POV. Look at this comment section. Hope many people are repeating stuff they heard online like “this is a Denny’s”.
@@wormwoodcocktail I agree with you, but to some degree even since leaving the left, I find people in our new tribe of the gender critical suffer from a pretty similar malady. I feel like it's just tribalism, and everyone wants to have a safe echo chamber / hug box broadly speaking, where we can say the same jokes to each other and pat ourselves on the back. I find division on the GC side is eerily similar in some ways to how thinking the "wrong" way was treated back during my Tumblr or reddit days. People seem to be really ill-equipped for dealing with diversity of thought within their own tribe. Maybe it's an evolved survival mechanism, but it is depressing to leave 1 insane space and find the same issues anywhere you go.
I guess I'm waiting to hear Felix's take on males competing against women in women's sports. He should make that his next MMA documentary. It would doubtless be funnier than this movie.
@@wormwoodcocktail I mean funnily enough I don't doubt the same loneliness he was talking about in that film is the exact driving mechanism behind AGPs and their invading of women's sports / spaces... How much more lonely and "prawn" sick can you get than trying to withdraw totally from reality and disappear into your idea of yourself as a woman? Trying to picture Felix or any one of these guys having a take on gender identity theory that deviated from their collective/friend group conclusions is tough to imagine though. It's one of those issues on the Left where your friends disown you for not thinking correctly.
@@L_Martin I agree with you in the sense that I think _some_ of these dudes are just profoundly self-hating. I mean, how more disassociated can you be than to be disassociated with every somatic cell in your body? At the same time, I think some of these dudes are sadists. There’s a reason why AGPness is correlated with serial murder and sex crimes. Some of these dudes are just cynical abusers. The fact that the former cohort are too depressed and narcissistic to even _concede_ that the former exists is willfully ignorance. It makes them feel good, therefore it’s okay. I also think that men of all ideologies have a tendency to deem certain women “fair game”. You can punch a TERF, Stalin said he couldn’t ask Russian men to go without Berliner pussy, etc. When a woman’s ideas become bad enough, suddenly an unfair fight and sexual violence become “resistance”. You see this in the coverage of the crisis in Gaza. Both sides _lie and lie and lie_ about violence against women and girls and people on both sides of the spectrum do it. Call it “atrocity propaganda”, like this hasn’t been the way of the world since Genghis Khan. This happens in situations where there’s an obvious “bad guy”. In fact, you especially see it there. The fact of the matter is that some acts of violence are torture and never morally acceptable. But people don’t say that because women’s rights is an inconvenient optics nightmare for men of all political affiliations. And yeah, the group-think exhibited by people on the modern left in the west is astounding. We even see people who participate in it (ex. Say, someone who labels feminists “transphobic”) get hoisted by their own petard (ex. 9/11 r-tard, Derek Chauvin is a mongoloid). So, it’s like, clearly it’s backfired, but they keep stepping on that rake. It’s not like that in places like Southern Europe. I remember a (Western, left-wing “nonbinary”) woman I met during a group job interview got mad at me for saying “gypped”. As in, “they gypped me”. She later found me on SM (I only really have YT and one other thing) and said she was “disappointed” that someone with my [insert career accomplishment here] would use such racist terminology”. And it’s like, b-tch, how is the word choice of strangers affecting your emotional equilibrium? It’s social climbing. It’s group cohesion. It’s a new religion and a new morality. It is a way to convey and articulate how “good” someone is. It’s about her one-upping me in front of a potential boss by showing how politically correct and “with the times” she is. They don’t engage intellectually because that’s not convenient. What’s convenient is compensating for her shitty resume by putting a progress flag on her office door. It’s what Ted K. described as the over-socialized mind. Funnily enough - he has AGP and tried to transition. Whenever they engage with this stuff (ex. Interview with Contra, this), it mostly focuses on psychoanalyzing the other person. “Haha, they’re so mad!” “Steven Crowder likes to crossdress!” And it’s like, _yeah._ There’s a correlation between being a misogynistic weirdo and finding crossdressing erotic. Like, I’m sure those Daily Wire guys all beat off to pornography even though they profess Christian values and say it’s wrong. That doesn’t mean “porn is good”. It means “literally everyone sees women as commodities”. It’s like the Lacan thing about how a dude can be right about his wife cheating and still be an autistic obsessive weirdo about it? You can be right about Steven Crowder being a probable transvestite _and_ he can still be right when he says males can’t be women. There was a whole article written about this called _Conservative Men in Conservative Dresses._ Anyway, it was really cool chatting with you. I’d be happy to hear your other takes or whatever. Happy New Years~!
@@wormwoodcocktail I like how you guys aren't even blanchardians anymore because the idea of an HSTS is too sympathetic so you have to pretend they dont exist or are somehow not involved.
imagine constantly comparing yourself to an institution with a household name-- an institution who has no idea you even exist-- consistently emulating them poorly, and then somehow having the balls to say "we make better art than them"
@@ih8google 1. No. 2. Not a child, but it’s creepy you want that. 3. Of course _you_ don’t care, you’re sexist. 4. Normal people do care about women and children.
Yeah all you LGBTs have to face facts and be normal like the chapo hate listeners who manic post transphobia and “damning” trivia about the hosts in the comments every day for a week lmfao
I'd be curious to know how many of us there are. It was a running joke on Chapo how few female listeners they had, I'd bet they lost quite a number of us with their bad take on the TQIA+ garbage. I'd at some point had hopes they'd evolve on this, because they are so dismissive of id pol, but alas not yet I see.
