PLEASE READ: If it makes it easier to watch this free video on the internet, please disregard the whole last chance trial thing and just assume that all those products have left my collection. Nothing had made it back into my drawers and honestly I’m sick of explaining myself when there is really no need. I got rid of a lot of product and re-organised END OF STORY. Sorry if you’re new here and this seems harsh, but I really don’t want to have to remove any more rude comments and block people. xx Rach

rachel! you didn't get rid of anything! lol you kept saying "I don't like it, it's old, didn't get on with this, not the right shade, etc..." and you kept it!! lol #makeuphoardingproblems. love this series though, be strong girl! get rid of stuff! love you

afaith145 Hahaha I promise I did get rid of a fair bit, but it’s so hard to get rid of things flippantly when you’ve spent so much money on them. Most of the last chance trial will actually go anything I use from the drawer that I don’t like I’m getting rid of straight away. I’ve already remove two product 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 xx

I feel you on that, it’s the only reason I was holding onto stuff, but honestly once you get past that cost thing and get rid of that stuff you don’t like (regardless of price), the feeling of seeing that clearspace is sort more than that foundation! I don’t know if you watched this back other than editing but you kept so much stuff you clearly didn’t like, and no judging, i’ve totally been there and still working through it myself, but know the clutter has been bothering you for a long time, and I doubt you’ll miss any of the last chance pile if you just chuck it x

How would you use all that foundation before it expires? Foundations at most last 2 years.

You really can’t, which is a problem for anyone who has a beauty channel / blog or just really likes trying new foundations. Sometimes I really wish they came in smaller sizes, 10ml maybe, so you could use them up more easily. I have certainly kept foundations longer than two years and they have been fine, but it depends from product to product xox

Emma Grace That’s a good idea! I think most will be thrown out if they are really old or given away, but I’m interested if any actually make it back to the drawer 🤔🤔🤔 xx

Have you thought about getting the Australis lightening or darkening drops? I have the lightening ones and they work wonders but also don't mess with the coverage or consistency of the liquid foundations I've used them in

Unfortunately that would be pretty hard to do as it's probably going to take me months to get around to trying all the last chance stuff. At this point it's safe to assume that they are all going and if I do change my mind on anything I will let you guys know in a video at some point :) xox R

Omg how many foundations!! I'm not judging I'm just amazed by it :D Alcohol and sun are the two biggest enemies of your skin, by the way, so I would suggest to stay as far away as possiible from it! Of course, when you don't use products with alcohol often it should be fine, but especially in skin care products is highly recommended to use products with 0% alcohol. I'm finishing school for estheticians, so I'm not just saying, but we study these things in school, so you can trust me on that. :)

I'm scared to try the loreal infallible total cover as it might be too heavy on my skin and loreal foundations tend to be too pink on me :( and the ones I've tried in the past haven't been good fr oily skin :(

We do! I'm much better with buying makeup now than I was a few years ago. I don't buy that much anymore and I tend to think harder about my purchases. I would love to be able to give some to subbies but it's very difficult with used products, even if they are only lightly used. Sometimes they are too old or if anyone had a bad reaction to something it would come back on me. It's also just really hard to get the product to people with mailing restrictions, etc. xox Rach

allison Ward It meant if the item was full or expensive, I would try it one last time and if I really liked it would stay but if not it would go. Most will go (or have already gone), but I don’t believe in throwing things out just for the sake of having less because then it becomes wasteful. Since I do have a lot of makeup, sometimes it’s easy for me to go for a while without using a product and therefore I don’t actually remember if I like it or not hence trying it one last time. The pile at the end wasn’t all to try, one side was and one side was to go but since I didn’t have much space it was sitting together. You can see from the finished drawer at the end how much less there is in it. You also have to keep in mind that my collection is that of a “beauty youtuber” not the average makeup user. As long as I make videos (and probably longer since I’ll already have the products), I’m always going to have more than I can actually use because I need to test products, reference back to them, show them in videos, etc. I hope this makes sense. I know you say there was a lot you got rid of - and i'm sure there was. However I think what people were noticing is that there were so many things that you put in the last chance trial pile that you had just said were very old, expired, you remembered not liking or the completely wrong shade for you. I know it can be hard to get rid of things but it isn't wasteful when a) someone else can use it before it expires rather than sitting in your drawer b) you now know what you do and do not like c) by the time you try all of those things you will have bought/received a whole bunch more stuff. I like the series - i'll be watching the rest of it now. Maybe it is just foundations that are more difficult for you! Everyone has different things that they find harder or easier to declutter.

Abbey P agreed. Myself I have a lot of makeup too, I’m no RU-vid beauty guru. But I know exactly what doesn’t work and works for me even if I used it once. Usually I see donate friends and family piles, toss or keep. Not two keep piles and one toss. Its less satisfying as a viewer I guess

28 minutes spent watching this and I am not clear on what you actually got rid of. Definitely not the most satisfying declutter video I have ever watched. Maybe this should have been called a collection video or organization video. Most stuff was in the "last chance" pile, which is NOT the same as a get rid of pile. Makeup hoarding is a very real thing.

Thank you for taking the time to watch the video and comment. I appreciate that your intent may have not been to be mean, however the tone definitely came across as rude nonetheless. Also, criticism by definition is "the expression of disapproval of someone or something on the basis of perceived faults or mistakes" and don't think that can ever really be constructive. Simply offering some advice maybe better next time. Just something to think about when you're commenting on other people's videos 😊 Rach

Rebecca Mitric it really is awesome although I would say that in winter the Light is a bit dark for me and I would need to mix it with the Fair shade or another lighter foundation which is a bit of a pain. They need an in-between shade. Happy shopping :) xx
