Spicy Joey, no explanations needed, we all see how Joey loves his jumping and I think the combination of being out and about and with a mare nearby I think he got so excited with it all, Esme you did so well staying on board, Joey put out some very impressive bucks that would have landed me on the floor, great riding skills Esme,

Don't listen to them, Esme. I can't believe some people pretend they haven't ever in their lives taken a firm hold on the reins when their life flashes before their eyes or they see a horrendous fall coming up and their horse is haring off. It's ridiculous, this idea that when you sit down at the keyboard you become this saintly perfect human being and that entitles you to make others feel like crap. Anyway, Joey looked great in that colour! He's so cute.

Wow those bucks well sat Esme. I use to ride a tb that always did 3 in a row unfortunately I could never sit out the third so I got dumped a few times lol. He was so powerful big tb but we all loved him so much he was such a character and won 18 of his 20 races the time I looked after him. This was 20 plus years ago he’s in horsey heaven now I bet he’s still bucking up there.lol. Your horse is beautiful and you ride him very well.tfs😎🏇😎

If people feel the need to explain every odd movement of a horse with pain, i sure hope that those people NEVER jump from excitement or flail their arms around in joy... Of course horses can feel joy and excitement just as well as a dog, a cat or even a human... Bucking is NOT always pain-related and can be caused by a number of positive and negative things... Just as well as Joey is bucking from excitement here, another horse could be bucking because it has learned that pressure goes away this way pretty effectively (negative reinforcement).. and a third horse could be in pain - but pain is definitely NOT always the answer to why a horse is bucking. Just things to consider - and Esme is taking all the right precautions to confidently be able to say that Joey is not in pain here, so i sure hope that she will not get any of those comments...
