you know Cletus you are so lucky that it busted right there that trans line cuz if it would have busted on the racetrack during a race the whole facility would have gotten really mad at you for oiling down the racetrack and lucky it was just a trans cooler line now if it was a transmission line in general that would have been bad because that shit would have been really hot coming out so all you got to do is just get it fixed and go to the truck and you should be fine

Looks like something is loose with the rear wheels/axles, it seems to me like they are moving around in strange ways like front/back instead of just up and down, both on the trans brake in front of the garage and on the test bump/hit at the track.

I have to agree with some of these other comments. When you look at Ruby launching, the wheels definitely look like they're moving in ways they're not supposed to. I think that could be causing the transmission to struggle and subsequently the engine to bog down.

I said that ages ago. It's the stock suspension rubber compliance. They need to build a heim jointed suspension with larger leverage from the control arms and spindles.

You've got a sticking valve body cleetus, I'm betting that's the one thing you haven't changed during the transmission changes. That I'll bet anything I own on. Edit, I had the exact same issue with my c4 when I built it.

I looked like Rubys rear tires tweaked inward pretty bad when you let off the brake. Im wondering if that may be causing too much binding in the drivetrain damaging other components that are tough enough now they get damaged instead of exploding like most stock parts probably would.

This stood out to me something fierce. I seen that tire and instantly thought something isn't right with the rearend then the noise it made just from my experiences sounded like the converter not engaging properly. But I've thought the converter was bad since 2K. Hopefully they can get it fixed for Indy but if not it'll still be good to see ruby back in action once she's fixed. I think this is her telling them she's tired of going slow

Generally with a broken converter the motor will just blow through it but this 100% sounds like an issue somewhere between the torque tube and the trans. If there’s no metal in the trans pan or cooked fluid it could be an issue in the valve body. May as well pull it out and get it refreshed/check the torque tube etc etc.

Thats due to them completely refabing the car. Remember how they’re getting rid of the transaxle? I almost wonder if they’re doing more suspension work while theyre in there. I know Garret wanted to keep it independent rear suspension but it’s possible they’re changing it up.

I would try shielded cables to and from all low voltage engine/transmission sensors..... it doesn't take much to corrupt these weak signals...

Watch the driver side rear wheel when you launched it at the track. It looked majorly toed out and on launch you can see it visibly shift back in. It moved a mile. Almost like there is a problem at the hub or something.

It really only was a mid 8 second car (reliably) and if he pushed it to the max was a very high 7's car. Not much more to do really. I just wish he would come out and officially retire the car and put it in his museum or something

check the terminal tension in your ECM connectors and cam and crank connectors. also makes sure the terminals are crimped to the wire well or add a drop off solder to make sure. poor connections in those two places can be super hard to diagnose and find

Also another thought make sure your ignition wires aren't routed too close to your wiring harness or any modules they can induce voltage and cause weird readings

LEROY CONTENT, PLEASE!!!!!!!!! Been here since before he was, he’ll always be the coolest rig you own to me. 6s are impressive on paper, but stick bottom 7s? Fuhgeddabouddit. Torque converter lockup is freaking out. Make sure theirs nothing silly in the tune for tcm side.

@@Justaneon99 Hughes XP5 andATI Superglide 4 just to name a couple. I used TCM as a catch all for tranny control. I'm assuming there is a bad valve letting fluid bleed from the trans brake into the lock up side. That would explain the bog of the line like it's starting in high gear. Then given the time it takes to clear and run right, its about the same amount of time it would take for excess line pressure to the lock up to bleed off and drive normal again.

The bushings are shot or loose in the control arms. Its IFS so the entire rear suspension is pivoting forward under power.

@@ionstorm66 that jambs up moving things like CV shafts and brakes. that could be really dragging on the driveline. destroying transmission, final drive, etc. definitely costing time. not sure if this is the entire problem but it's not helping them out.

I wanna see a Freedom Factory DLC for Forza Horizon. Having Ruby, Leeroy, Neighbour, Toast, Rodney and White Trash, just to name a few, in game would be sweet. They've worked with Vaughn Gittin Jr. so why not Ole Cleeter. As for Ruby, rear wheel looked weird when she was sitting on the line. Not the problem you were looking for but it seemed like the tyre was sticking out more than usual, with more camber and toeing out. Might just be the camera angle.

Hey Cleet! you should use PTFE braided hoses on the trans, they resist a lot more temp and pressure than regular rubber hose also they dont deteriorate like the others. Using regular rubber hose is calling for trouble. Not because it is AN fitting means that hoses are going to last. PTFE FTW!

Hey cleeter I know y’all are putting a big effort into being safer all around the channel. It just erks me seein y’all run down the strip with y’all’s visors up. Just saw a video from Ryan Martin, who never breaks, have a catastrophic backfire and he was lucky to have his visor down. Not to be the safety police but y’all got to try and get in the habit. It takes one small piece of debris or fire to change y’all’s life forever. I know y’all’s but Dale was never one for safety but let’s change that fellers. Keep on keepin on. Love the videos.

Cleetus, I'll make you a deal. I'll buy some spray wax and parts from Motion Raceworks as long as I get a turbo and the Iroc. Then I'll install the turbo on the Iroc and clean it up with the spray wax. I'll vlog the entire thing and drive it down to the Freedom Factory for a few laps on the track and some burnouts on the burnout pad.
