IG @nick.nakai Toolbox breakdown of the current tool setup Im taking to work. I know I will be adding to my collection soon so maybe will do an update video in the future. #snapon #harborfreight #tools #milwaukee
Just left Walmart not to long ago and I’m now working at a dealership and man it’s way different and you do more as a lube tech at a dealership, I hope to learn more tbh and further my automotive career, also congrats on your promotion 🎉
Congrats on that Carlos I to just put in my 2 weeks for Big Red soda company, to work at BMW as a lube tech also. What’s your daily routine look like super stoked for this since I love to work on cars as a hobby already and just turned it into my career.
@@angelrojas6072 thanks man, I do around 10 cars a day, I check the wiper, and horn before I bring it to my bay, then check air while racking it up and then proceeded to do my multipoint while the oil is draining and of course check the cabin and eng filter while at it
these are the kind of tool tours i like not just snap on and high end tools plus it looks like most tools have been used and you get a good perspective of if the tool is good or not.
A lot of people don’t realize just how good union fleet jobs are. I’m an Automotive Supervisor for a large transportation company. My guys get the best pay, benefits, and retirement in the industry for about 25% of the work on the outside. Best of luck on the new venture!
Definitely recommend ¾ sockets and impact. Tekton has a decent SAE socket set with a ratchet that goes to 2". SAE sockets at least to 2 inch. Longest ½ flex head ratchet you can get and a few sizes in between lol. Sae wrenches for sure. I would also recommend studying diesel aftertreatment systems, very common to have problems with them. All the brands are a little different but have the same principle.
Congrats on promotion my dad runs a fleet shop and like these guys have said 3/4” drive sockets I’d personally get a good set of impacts, big wrenches, sae. Once the fasteners get big most of them are close except a few exceptions but he says he has the big metric wrenches at work up to 32 and they’ve never used them. And then test lights and good multi meter. For him it’s a lot of tires, brakes, lights and air hoses
I got astro nano sockets and the astro swivel sockets work great! I want the ez red quarter stick! Also got sunex crow feet for fuel lines sae, and a amazon metric kit, always a few special tools needed for certain jobs, i mainly use metric sizes, sae less, we run many many Milwaukee tools in the shop
Get you a 16" cobra plier to grab onto the transmission and block to seat it in, those things dig into the casing and gives you proper grip on it unlike the snapon one
Forgot if you said semi/ medium truck I’d say s-cam pry brake and spring tool slack adjuster ratchet, set of twelve point all the way to 30mm I think that was the size for some def filters, wire/deustch crimper stripper battery cable crimper I dunno off the top I just don’t know you know… but you got a lot
congrats man, can I ask how did you get the job? and any advice for tech that wanted to be a diesel tech for a better pay rather than a dealership tech? thanks man
2012 camry hybrid pls bro, c1259 and c1310.. I'll cash app you 4 sn answer I'm so stuck. I replaced big battery, little battery. Inverter.. fuses look good. 😢😢 plsssssssssss!
Got a mix of everything almost. I stopped caring about brands as much halfway into my career. As long as it works and gets the job done, brand doesn’t matter.
