Download link & sheet music in the description! I'm considering covering another band to shake things up a little, vote here if you want to help decide which one: www.strawpoll.me/19270290
Phenomenal cover all around, but I’m especially impressed by the breakdown. You nailed the 2 guitar and bass parts that cycle being in and out of sync by an 8th note. Really great stuff.
Sorry to ask you, is this non copyright? I'm interested to use this in my project (a videogame), which will not be published but used as an academic project (my thesis). And I'm not sure if it's ok to use it or no. Do you have any clue? Thanks you!
That sounds super cool, I feel honored! As far as I'm concerned, feel free to use it. I would be very curious to see how it's incorporated into the final product, if that would be possible. However, I'm not sure how copyright works in regards to covers. I suggest you look into that, and if it turns out all you need is the go-ahead from the performer of the cover, and not the original artist, you're good to go!
I've gone through their discography to search for songs that fit my style of playing, but other than Keyhole in the Sky I couldn't find any, unfortunately. I have the same problem with a few Tool songs (10,000 Days, Jambi): some important parts are too fast or cover a wide range of notes in a short time, which makes me unable to cover them in a way that I feel does them justice. For my Keyhole cover, I had the benefit of not having to play the vocal part. I'll definitely give some songs another try in the future, but I'll first focus on songs I know I'm able to play in a way I like. Hope you understand!
@@GoodJobPiano I absolutely understand, thanks for the explanation. I'm just giving you a hard time, I appreciate any covers you put out. I went ahead and voted for Soen, I'd love to see what you could do with some of their songs! :)
