Yes, that’s laser engraving. Very, very common nowadays. For substrates where laser engraving alone wouldn’t produce enough contrast, paints, enamels, or other coatings or surface treatments (like anodizing) can be used, with special coatings available that are optimized for laser engraving. It would be possible to make glow-in-the-dark laser-engraved marking by applying glow-in-the-dark paint, then covering that with opaque paint, then laser-engraving the opaque paint. (That’s basically how backlit laptop keyboards are labeled: clear plastic keycaps are painted in black or silver paint, then laser-engraved to selectively remove the paint, allowing the light to shine through.)
I bought the Bosch wrenches a couple years ago on US Amazon when I found them. It was amazing how many people were in the reviews complaining that they didn't click. I'd love to get an imperial set of sprag clutch wrenches. Last time I looked only metric were available.
I have the metric Bosch set.. I really don't like it. When the nut is easy to access the wrench is great... But that is rarely the case. Most times the wrench is to bulky, and It would need to be angled to save my knuckles. Very low back drag tho.
Yes, LASER engraved. They are nice wrenches, but black is a horrible color for a tool. I have a couple of black ones and they are so easy to loose. Don't like the super shinny chrome. Finger prints show to easy and they look dirty. The best tool finish I think is the satin chrome that VIM does on their tools.
The Bosch ratchet wrenches are tr*sh The black coating dont hold Up much One screw and you can See First scratches after some time the coating is completely gone where it comes to contact with Something The rachet mechanism is Not durable If you need them around a few Times a week after 6 month you need a whole new Set And then for that price ITS to much
@@bzeug Also I find it mildly amusing that Google knows you like ordering from East Asia so much that it actually pushes to you branches in East Asia regardless of what's actually closer to you. Next time you're browsing for a car it might offer you Ford dealerships in Taiwan.
I know there's a directional arrow on each wrench but they should have made one ring black and the other red with the red side for clockwise. Easier to see.
