Excellent design Benjamin. I can see how running a large framing crew at the end of each day you can easily see that all tools are back in their dedicated space. This trailer will get you more work and keep tools from getting "lost." Keep up the great work. I can tell from the attention to details with tools that your framing is top notch.😎🤙
Thank you Ron, i took alot of your ideas, granted i dont need the same layout as you, since i only frame new residential homes, but without your videos i never would of even dream about setting up a work trailer this way, i think your influence has helped alot of people in the trade to get lean and organized, so thank you for watching my video ,and keep doing what you do for others i know on my end your videos had help me grow and be more efficient
One of the cleanest and nicest looking trailer layouts Ive seen. Its like a high end tool display. I think it would be very enjoyable to work out of a trailer like this. Cool how you've mounted you're circular saws to the wall. Great job man
I dont think this video shows it, but the other cavinet is actually a door with a ,tv ,and game system behind, we play fifa at lunch me, and a couple of guys, lol
@@andrewphillips1865 thank you, my trailer is a mix of every video i seen on youtube, but the first time i myself saw ron's trailer i knew i was doing something wrong, and from there i saw everybody's trailers on there and took from everybody's videos the main ideas for mine :)
Love the trailer setup. Great organization and the use of individual accountability is a hallmark of a good leader. Your guys are lucky to work for you. Cheers sir!
Showing ur trailer basically speaks for your work because if you’re this clean and neat with your tools then the work you do should also be the same and it is seems like yall do some nice framing jobs
@@benjytheframer2781 I'm working on my second build out and am watching every trailer video out there for ideas. If it was specialized for one trade, this is the gold standard.
Excellent set up , definately perfect for your job, exactly how I'd do it too , although the attention to detail you achieve is amazing & above my skill set, thanks buddy & a big hello from great Britain
Can I recommend a suggestion? Like me. I own a vast amount of dewalt equipment myself, it's not always easy to know who is using what, and where it is etc.. I would advise investing in their 'tool connect' tags. Awesome trailer man! Much ❤ from uk 🇬🇧
Absolutely fuckin awesome trailer set up my man. I have mine set up to be a Mobile jobsite. Handwash sink, microwave, mini fridge all up in the V-nose and everything else built out for tools and box's. However after 2 years of use there are several upgrades I would like make to free up space. I'll definitely be stealing some of these ideas.
Impeccable organizing there. Having a rig set up like that says it all. That impression left in the mind of a potential customer, and showing up to the job with that kind of look is key. That's going to get business drummed up alone. Then of course the dewalt collection is drool worthy. Them batteries aren't cheap. That's one helluva sweet setup bro. We just picked up a ultimate contractor trailer, and your video just gave me the best idea for what I do. I'm just impressed here. Seriously
Thank you! Like you i watched a ton of videos and i got great ideas from other youtubers some are mine, some are someone elses, but i managed to make them work for my trade, and am glad my video gave you some ideas that's what's all about :)
@@benjytheframer2781 your trailer is probably the most organized and well thought out that I've seen. I used to work in a lumber yard/building supplies and I've seen a ton of different setups. Nothing comes close to this.
Awesome set up. I am a trim carpenter and run two trailers and have them set up inspired by Ron also but you have done some things I’m very jealous of. Wish you lived in my area to come frame some houses.
Nice... I been framing since the mid 80s. Back then Me and my 2 cousins had 2- 100' cords 1 mikita saw and a 4' level and a little Toyota corolla no GL no WC mid 90s everyone started getting nail guns. Times has changed . I love tools and that's a nice set up
Amazing! Here where I live it is almost impossible to build something like this, as all is very expensive, but for sure it is now on my wish list :) a nice work!
Thanks for the comment :) alot of the tools i bought 1 tool every week , buying all of it at once it could be very expensive otherwise, and it has taking me close to a year to get it to that point as i only worked on it on my weekends, but with patience, and a goal in mind everything is poasible my friend :)
Thanks for the videos on your trailer and organizational methods! This is a great modification on Ron’s (and others) ideas on trailer build-outs for advanced organization and efficiency. I can see how your arrangement can work well for a larger crew dedicated to framing and related construction projects. Being one of a two-man operation, visual inventory is easier with a closer original Paulk design with tool cubbies and garages. Your system lends itself to ease of getting and replacing the tools as needed on a job site and an end-of-day inventory of your tools. Again, thanks for the novel ideas!
....your set up is absolutely amazing..... trying to figure out how u store your circular saw....wish u had a more detailed video of the entire building process....
Hey Benji. You commented on my trailer yesterday. I thought I had seen all of the trailer videos but I hadn’t seen yours till now. Your trailer is outstanding. I love how accessible everything is. Great job!!!
Wow, this is awesome. The color identification marks are really SMART. I started doing this as soon as I saw your video. No more confusion!! You get your saw, your impact and your nailer. Don't grab something that isn't for you!! I think this will also help with identifying people that abuse the tools and aren't considerate of the tool! Thanks for the video.
Lol 3 bottom ones are dedicated with a hardie blade, 1 corded is meant for ripping ledger and save a few cycles on the batteries, and 1 for every member of the crew, sometimes its impossible to work on pairs and if everybody has a designated tool then you increase productivity!
They are 7 1/4 flebolt sidewinders most of them and 2 of them are the flexbolt advantage, i find that the advantage dont perform as good as the other ones, there is a clear power difference and probably wont be getting them anymore, as far as the worm style, i havent had a chance to try one, and am sure the power is there, but i did have a chance to hold one when they had one on display at the home depot, and the weight of it without a battery was significant enough to detoured me from getting it, when i was younger i used to love the wormdrive style saws because of the power, but now the ligther the better lol
Thank you, and not with the trimnailers or stapplers mounted on the hooks, I have had a few tools fall off when hitting some curbes a couple of times , but it just depends on how bad you hit the curbe lol
@@benjytheframer2781 hey bud thanks for the reply! I love your set up and planning to redo the trailer, but I am out in California and the roads are crap! So I was wondering if the tools would be constantly falling off! Hope business is good for you!
@@jksconstructioninc.3396 its slow on my area, but managed to stay busy, I hope you post your set up, for the rest of the people looking to build their tool trailer !
@@benjytheframer2781 clever none the less my friend. The idea for the hinged wall to hide the hoses and ladders was great too. When my business gets bigger ill do something similar
I do lots of cuts, and those worm style saws alone weight a ton add the battery and its almost like lifting thors hammer lol maybe if i was 10 years younger!
To answer your question I run a framing crew, and a little more of why i need that many saws well, 3 bottom saws are dedicated with a hardie blade, 1 corded for ripping ledger, that helps save on battery cycles, and when you pair a nail guy ,and a cut man together you only need one saw, one nail gun, but when they are not paired together they each have an asigned saw, and a nail gun, it increases productivity, taking turns with tools will get you the same results only at a slower pase, and it may lead to comflict between employees fighing over one tool, its not uncommon for tools to break ,and when they do its nice to have a back up tool .
