The very first thing I did after seeing the upload was heading over to the 4:13 timestamp and then play from the beginning ;) Love the extended version. Brilliantly remastered. Thanks a ton bro 🙏
I lived this tour - version !!!!!! When they had king crimson open and play with them at red rocks and first time seeing them perform laterals songs live .also I jumped on tool and figured out that they changed because of there performance art hence . Then began trending to almost identical set list every night . Present day is around %80 same set list nightly . Not bitchin !!!!!! Just perceptive . Still the most bitchin band ever assembled !!!! 29 years a fan
As Maynard has aged he has had to select from a smaller number of songs that his voice can handle. I would say that has a lot to do with their setlists. Plus as you get more albums, you have more "must plays" per show....most people that go to concerts are casuals and they want to hear the hits. That makes less room for alternating other songs.
@@yuibot5998 great point . I ve definitely considered that and know his passion to expand his range,, master his gift , and protect as well as prolong the Majesty of being a vocalist . I'd like to mention though and this is MY OPINION and observation . All be it I admit when I'm wrong , but I've got 56 shows in seven countries now and been an attending loyal admirer of their -his genius art form and maybe one of few that pays happily for everything I own and have bought my tix from venue or band affiliated web presales ( before the inter web ) This also coming from a man whom since 97 tour and stripped version of push it . Show 23 I've gone to every show since completely sober . All other shows- bands a few brews with the bros . I found sober with closed eyes does get me to meet them on the other side !! Happy Easter and cheers with my glass from caduceus cellars held high . P. S. I miss their 4/1 pranks and toolshed site . What was his name again. Kabir ?
Oh goodness . I apologise it auto erased half my comment . I apologise that it reads so awfully and I may not get back to my take . I tried to respectfully corispond with you .
@@toolliveremastered3055 yeah I believe there are 2 different videos of that concert from different angles- would be cool to have a good mix because it’s a truly badass performance with Maynard sounding in particular good voice
Not in the early days but around 2000 he did for many reasons, one being he could hear himself better, he was tired of people throwing things on stage and last because he still had bad stage fright. It was easy for him to not be in the spotlight.
