Unironically true. While tool sings about hard topics there is something positive to take away from it. (Famous examples: schism, or sober) While the Swift Song is Hidden sadness and Depression. She keeps Telling herself how much better off she is now that she is on her own. Its unhealthy coping I Think. You know instead of Working on yourself or maybe taking a real steady Look on how or with whom you form relationships its just "next lover and goodbye Half a year Later" thats not healthy and fucks with your happieness
@@jail2634 Short term happiness without any responsibilities - that is what the media keeps telling people. We should all learn how to grow spiritually to be better persons - I know at least that I should. Sober was the first Tool song I heard and it’s still my favorite.
@@MrLopputulee yead dude, thats what I was getting at. Of course my wording aint that Good because english is not my mothertounge. But yeah dude thats why tool to me portrays a much more optimistic Yet realistic and just positive view of life. They are about embracing live with all its struggles, difficulties and like you said: responsibilities. And sober friggin slaps🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
You're not a real TOOL fan. Maynards vocals beat this tenfold and we both know this. After all, his vocals are a big reason to why you would even consider yourself a TOOL fan in the first place.
@@J..0p_4nQ Alright calm down, people have their opinions. You might be a TOOL fan, but can't you accept that other people like this? Or are you too immature to go and cry that this sucks? Cause that's completely rude to call people "Not TOOL fans" just because they like this. Grow up.
@@J..0p_4nQIt's a funny little parody, let people have their fun. Or is your comment satirical because you did the perfect impression of the most pretentious Tool fans.
@@ichigokurosaki69 At a certain point and time I would say nothing would be too scary for the man that was literally afraid of everything. Now I wonder what eldritch abomination could have come up with this.
matt wood , I am pretty sure that this comment pleases me more than any comment I have read on any other post I have ever seen. That is epic comedic timing for that quote ;). Namastè
Scot Coon I mean, it's not the relationship that causes the songs, it's the breakup, so if she just got married her inspiration would dry up. Anyway she'll be old soon and that will also make it stop.
I always loved the timing of this mashup's release. It came out around the time the new Tool album was getting more listeners than the new Taylor Swift album, and hardcore fans of both musical groups were at each other's throats over it. The clashing mentalities were usually two stupid blanket-term filled statements like "Taylor deserves more listeners, and Tool is past their prime" vs "People are now listening to "good" music instead of this new pop crap". And, I can probably be wrong about this, but I always thought of this mashup was a way of saying that both artist are fine in their own right and both should be respected as such. In fact, both sound so good that here's a mashup of both artists. I can definitely be thinking too deep about this, but I thought it was interesting nonetheless. Bravo, William Maranci
Man I was having the same conversation with my brother. We think that it's okay not to like somebody's music, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have merit. And I told him the story about the time that Tool was more popular than Swift and this Mashup came to be.
Exactly!! But I unironically loved that whole "controversy" as it took two enormous and *vastly* different slices of music audiences and smashed them together. It was fascinating to watch.
Jesus........it will be this followed by a mashup of Soulja Boy/Gangnam Syle followed by some Johnny Cash/Post Malone abomination. Havent been this motivated to go back to church in a while.
Cue Zephyr I want to get to know you, become friends, ask you out on a date, get into a relationship with you, connect on a cellular level, then when everything seems perfect treat you like trash. ❤️
@@mikuspalmis No one saying nothing wouldn't necessarily mean someone is saying something. The second negative doesn't negate the first in this instance, imho. ....unless @Mikus just punked/trolled us alllll!
And how messed up the record industry buzzards are like ol’ Scooter-boi 😂 plus songwriters aren’t always writing verbatim accounts of their personal experiences. Has that ever crossed your mind, junior? 😂
I know this is very obviously satire, but quite unironically, these two near polar opposites work EXTREMELY well together, the phrasing just blends effortlessly with the isolated instrumental. I'm genuinely listening to this regularly now because it really is so good.
The merge between Tay-Tay and Tool is probably the only true way to open the third eye. Is ambitious, delicate, penetrating, spiritual, visionary, overwhelming, cringetastic, refined, bold and very sassy
We're sad to say that tool has parted ways with Maynard. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors as we move forward with our new lead singer Talyor Swift. Adam Jones
