Great collection of ratchets. I have a Craftsman top chest and roller cab. For the life of me I'll never understand why Craftsman didn't make the top chests the same depth as the roller cab. I too suffered from horizonal surface syndrome as I would pile stuff on that shelf. I solved the problem by moving the top chest forward thus eliminating shelf.

@@mlieser1230 thanks for joining in. I attempt to get a current mid cab for it buuttt the only company I found that had them in stock wanted way too much in shipping. By that time, I could almost buy a USG 27” roll cab. Lol So my planned solution is probably a USG cab for the shop and an Icon cab for the garage bay until I can afford the Epiq that I’d like to have. Plus there’s probably another structure being built in a couple of years. I’m planning to get more in depth with my ratchets over the next couple of weeks.

We think alike, I also don't like flex heads. I started replacing my flex with locking or non flex. Like I commented before, my next purchase will be the mac locking flex. You should look in stahlwille ratchets, so nice and smooth.

@@andrestnt Man whenever you show up, my my wallet screams 😆 jk I’ll have to have a look. Years ago I think what I used was an Easco round head of my father’s. That was my first exposure. It didn’t lock. At all. And I could never keep it on one notch and I got very reluctant to put any force on it because I quickly figured out I was going to injure myself.

@@gtcam723 the worst when they get sloppy. The only really useful one I've used is my SK Roundhead. I got the bent handle version, came in handy doing an exhaust manifold on a g35 infinity. yeah that's how I feel when I watch all these ratchets Vids 🤑

@@andrestnt I always wondered how often the bent handle stuff got used by people. I’ve never had to resort to anything like that. Thankfully, most times stuff is either outside the scope of my use or doesn’t appeal to me. Seems my habit lies around wrenches and ratchets. Also, thanks for joining in!

@gtcam723 That's the only time using it. A small ratchet 3/8 on a 1/4 works the same. I ended up using that same duralast you have on the other side.

@@andrestnt Yeah I try not to get heavy handed with that one lol Though I will say the Tone equivalent is certainly affordable. Just takes a bit of time to get from Amazon Japan
