@@Grabarz23 most of the snap on/matco stuff I own, I went on the truck and held it first before ordering it off of eBay or somewhere else (especially if matco rebranded). A tool truck is nice to go on and look around and get an idea of whether or not the tool you saw online is just as nice or useful in person. But I’m not dumb enough to pay the tool truck price unless I absolutely have to
If you off-road or overland, this tool is invaluable! It’s lighter then bringing battery impact drivers and small enough for your emergency tool roll. I’ve used mine twice in emergency situations in Moab.
lncludes being used on Japanese motorcycles,ATVs and side by sides which use JlS screws which the Japanese vehicles use too.l do admit the Japanese make great tools, have the Vessel Megadora impacting screwdriver set l purchased for the first time
I have got it a few months ago, different brand but the same thing, to remove the v5 sti idle air control unit, works like a dream. I tap and screw-free.
There is a huge advantage over battery or compressed air impact / rattle guns especially if you try to loosen Phillips or Pozi or flat blade style bolts. Every time you knock the driver the blade is not only rotated but pressed into the screw head. This much limits the risk of damaging the screw and the bit.
I wish somebody would build a solid electronic repair screw driver set where the bits aren't manufactured with soft Chineseium, and the bits are standardized as I bought a kit that had the bits that were undersized to the point that they needed a magnet to hold the bits into the screw driver.
Was watching some of your older videos and saw the best tools of 2020. I would love to see a comparison between the Mac precision torque wrenches in that video and the new craftsman v series wrenches. The v series tools show some definite Facom and USAG similarities.
I think I’m gonna have to get this or at least put it on my wish list! Too bad I could use it on my idler pulley for the radiators in the way! Anyway it should break free I’m out here in California where we get no rain so I ain’t got no rust….. anywhere on the car!
Very nice! Wonder how it compares to the Snap-on impact driver. I cringe every time I have to grab that thing in the cold. Gloves don't help at all lol
Im a koken fanboy. Got REAL sick yesterday and deliriously bought the smaller metal koken driver. Looking today it kinda looks like a rebranded tool a couple brands sell. It was only $60 but im still a bit worried. Hopefully its good either way.
Great stuff! I am trying to find out what size the bits are? Are these 5 mm in diameter? Or 8? I would like to know what impact bits I can use on the 1/2 size bit holder. In case I need to buy replacements etc. It's very hard to find out. Nice video!
How did the Koken spark plug sockets with the integrated extension work out? I’m a Snap-On fanboy but I decided to give Koken a shot since I don’t own any 9/16 or 14mm spark plug sockets. Looks like Koken makes a 14mm regular spark plug socket, a super thin wall, a universal joint, a 8” extension and a 10” extension variety. I’m debating on which ones to try for FB engines,
I had one it lasted 15 years and would of lasted longer if did not loan it to a animal working on a D8 cat who used 8 lb. Sledgehammer to drive it. worked as good as any.
