Awesome video man! And to all the haters who say you don’t have to clean your tools, that’s true. You don’t have to clean your house or your car either, but see how good they look or long they last for you. Keep up the good work man.
I use the shop BG brake flush machine wether I sell the flush or not. Combination pressure vacuum bleeder. The best possible bleed and saves time with no need for another tech pumping the pedal. Very valuable for Chevy brake line jobs like this.
You do know that on the Chevy Tahoes Avalanches Cadillac Escalades all the Chevys require that you do the bleeding sequence first with the scanner between the ABS and master cylinder you have to do that first before you bleed the brake at the wheels
I love this tool, I upgraded about a month or two ago from the mighty vac break bleeder, seals were shot it seen like 2000 break jobs had to retire it, I love this tool tho, I also bought the snap on soda blaster with it havnt tried it yet, Great video I always enjoy watching your content and sweet ass tools, Especially your box.....😛
that refiller seems like it could end up saving me from spending a bunch on a new master. Hadn't seen it before so im glad you featured it. Keep up the good work man
i hate Chevy brake bleeding. you have to always compression bleed to get a good pedal unless you want to be there all day. ill be honest though. this seems like it takes way longer than what im use to with the old r2d2 style brake bleeder
I used to just dunk the brake fluid bottle on top of master cylinder and leave it there till gets it sucked out and fluid looks clean inside master...works very well, but I still got that BB reservoir cus I luv using nice tools 😂
Nice vid, have the same one at work it does the job well. My fav part of the tool is actually the reservoir tool. Keeps that master nice and topped off
Do you ever use the scanner to activate the abs unit to help bleed air out on those gm’s. I have the mityvac kit mv6840 with all adapters for top of reservoir to screw on like normal cap works good. Especially when you are one man shop like you. Got get It done fast and quick and right ever time. Awesome video thanks for the great content.
I have tried to ask my snapon rep multiple times every week they come though about this tool and if they could find out some info for me and never got back to me. I thought once you sucked a bunch of fluid down you would see a solid about of fluid coming though insted of it looking like a lot of air into the system . Even on a brand new vehicle it does the same thing so im not too sure
I love these videos. Really glad you did this one been wanting to purchase the brake bleeding kits for awhile. Do you think any of the other brands are comparable to snap-on’s?
I broke my coworkers snap on one so thankfully it’s not that expensive 😅 broke off at the lid when it drop on the floor 🙄 tool itself is like $130 dollars
It's just something I do, too make the seals open and the flow better. You don't necessarily have too, you can just manually pump the clutch petal a few times.
Did you replace all calipers, some of them or? What was wrong with them that you had to replace them? Yeah we hear the hissing. Why with the brake pedal halfway down as I've never heard of that before? I recently bought a motive bleeder for ly Tahoe that you can pump and then has various caps, etc. Bought off of Amazon. I should try my hand at a video and see how it goes. I've did the vacuum way like you're doing and had good results as well. Couldn't stomach the price from my snap on guy so I stuck with the good Chinese one I had. Shorten your intros up a little. Want info about that check out ChevyDude he has a video on how much he made last year but he got into analytics. If you need the video let me know and I can email the link to you. Did you use the scan tool to bleed the control module as I've seen that option and always figured that would help at the right time during the bleed process though.
Was just asking why the calipers were bad as I didn't know if something was known or customer wanted them upgraded or what. I have a 03 Tahoe myself and have only had to replace 1 caliper due to seized pin @ 100k miles on rear which was first brake change for rear axle. Backing plates were replaced as well as were in a Rustbelt here in South Dakota.
I agree. Anytime you crack the bleeder nut it allows air to pass around the threads and into the hose. When you use suction at the bleeder instead of pressure at the resevoir, you get bubbles. Same thing happens when I use a Mityvac suction pump. You will never get a clear flow of brake fluid in your tube. Put grease around the base of the bleeder threads...blah blah. I like to see clear fluid, not bubbles. Like Kawasaki00000000 comment above, I agree with him as well. Pressure at the reservoir for me.
Great video! Thanks for the info. Would love to subscribe to toolheadz crate but just can't afford it. I am only making just over minimum wage her where I live and can't make it fit into the budget. Wish I could though.
