🎙️ In 2009 after competing at the English gymnastics championships and walking away with Sven out of seven gold medals. I made the monumental mistake of leaving my gym bag at the competition arena. The following morning Sergey picked me up early to leave for a training camp at the national centre with the GB team. This was by far the biggest telling off I ever received through the entirety of my whole gymnastics career. Luckily we managed to collect my kit bag that same morning but not before Sergey hit me with one of his famous riddles. Next time you should leave your head. They say a bad workman blames his tools. In gymnastics the right tools and equipment can be the difference between winning and losing. And this is my story 📚

You have always been a beautiful gymnast and really should have been selected for more Olympic games. Know that you will always be one of my favourites, and congrats for the baby!

Hey Sam! You are an amazing gymnast and I’ve been following your career ever since I saw your pic on a tub of MyProtein whey powder 😅(. I have recently been binging your podcasts. You are an awesome interviewer. You don’t stutter or say “like” all the time. Very eloquent and genuine. I just listened to the Lewis Smith episode and you handled the situation, whereby he ‘kind of’ publicly slated you, so well. You are humble and come across as a very emotionally intelligent man (rare, these days). You’ve obviously been through a lot and I wish you every success..you full-on deserve it 🎉. Congratulations on the birth of your little one. Please keep the podcasts going

Great pod as always, what are the must haves for home gymnastic training for toddlers?

I would just let them have lots of fun, take them to parks and adventure playgrounds! The basics: hanging, jumping, landing, rolling, twisting, stretching and teh right amount of risk taking.
