Not as stupid as you who think already vented battery still pose a threat and by the way battery doesn’t explode, it vent and it’s not as dramatic as you think.
Nah that's stupid af, just means they used high temp silver solder that needs to be about 900F to melt on a soldering pen. All big brands do this. That plastic is shit tho. Should've used a high temp type. The fact that u think this is safe is idioc, that's some "my pee pee is bigger " kid shit
Milwaukee is probably better in terms of power. Also to be fair that DeWalt battery looks like only 2 out of the whole pack so it's probably just gonna make it last shorter.
Brand doesn’t matter. Any drill will keep going even being beyond toasted. There really isn’t much difference between the major brands. From personal experience Milwaukee is the better than dewalt. For long term I like Mikita. They have the best replacement and customer service.
@@Azook-jn9dyyour right it doesn’t matter what brand even shitty tools can last through a fire I seen a poulan chainsaw survive a fire where a shed burned to ashes and people say their shit
My Milwaukee tools have been to hell and back, I can grantee they have been through more the any other power tool you have seen, had 5 of my batteries do that, and they still work, I use them when I need them which isn’t often, every single one of them has been dropped multiple times from 3 story’s plus, thrown at walls, my grinder had a pump truck parked on it for 6 hours and it still works, the dewalt tools I brought tho, they are the reason i went to Milwaukee, I dropped my old dewalt off of a step ladder, and it blew up, almost burnt the sight down we had to evacuate, all cause dewalt can’t handle a meter n a half drop
I do commercial roofing we use milwalkee cordlesses for everything 3000 screws a day and we leave them on black roofs all day long never had a issue like that
Yeah it would have. It doesn’t matter the manufacturer, any lithium ion battery that gets to hot will explode. Considering the fact that no batteries for major tool manufacturers have active cooling a Milwaukee would have done the same. These brands don’t make the actual 18650/21000 batteries they use in their tools, companies like Samsung do.
There’s a video of a 1/4” Milwaukee impact that was in the drawer of a service truck that caught fire and blew up and it still took a battery that was also in the fire and ran fine so a Milwaukee did do that lol
None of my Milwaukees have ever failed in the 10+ years I’ve had em, got like 3 impact drivers and a drill. All of em are solid. Batteries never explode…
Not at all ive seen em survive house fires. This says more about the battery then it does the drill and the battery’s use Chinese cells so idk what to tell ya
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. I’ve seen more dewalts survive severe damage and work fine, than I have seen dewalts just take a shit and stop working
I can appreciate using a tool until it’s truly dead but never be afraid to invest back into your business. I’ve got a Milwaukee hacksaw from about 10 years ago that’s in similar condition but still works. Yes my stubborn self still picks the og every time BUT I have a brand new tool still waiting in the truck for when it finally breaks.
I mean, the tool itself wasn't damaged, so it only makes sense that it works (not impressed about that). I am more impressed with that battery still working. Seem that by luck some of the cells are still intact and holding a charge, thats why it works. I personally wouldn't be drawing current of a blown battery thogh.
Yeah, that's super dangerous. Those exposed lithium cells are now prone to catch fire, especially when exposed to water... you'll need something else like baking soda to put the fire it starts, out.
You do realize that dewalt and milwaukee run on the exact same battery technology like dewalt literally has to pay milwaukee a patent commission because milwaukee own the patent on the technology 🙄
@GottiRC you think I'm just making it up? Try looking up the patents looking at them now they actually expired last year but it was true. I would put a link but yk this is youtube. Just look up "milwaukee 18v battery patent".
Just a cell blew up, as long as it didn’t disconnect any wiring or blow up other cells, it should work, not that crazy, what’s crazy is that it blew up, nothing like a potential fire starter, milwuakee is better don’t argue either.
@@shaneharding7706 yeah except the 95% of humans on this planet that couldn’t tell you the difference between an impact and a drill but yeah sure thing kiddo whatever helps you sleep better at night. 👍
Since I bought Metabo, I won't go back to Milwaukee or Dewalt or boshe ever again. I prefer Metabo, same thing less price, was able to get more accessories such as saw and half inch breaker impact for price of the competitors. And the last time I had Milwaukee lasted 1 year before it quit. I build custom swimming pools. They don't hold up when they get wet.
@@terryrickman2975I had Hitachi/Hikoki gear before most of it was stolen. That stuff was durable af. Most of my power tools are used daily. In all honestly some of my Milwaukee batteries and an impactor have failed. Hitachi make some pretty durable stuff. It's way underrated. Kind a wish I never started with Milwaukee now.
Yeah, replaced the battery, but I’m not trying to have lithium cells literally explode because of their holding a charge and if they’re punctured, they like to go boom boom and they burn really really really hot like multiple times hotter than a car fire for example and literally cannot be put out by water. Water only makes him more Volatile and hotter and lithium when it supposed to water, it literally will spontaneously combust
Never seen this but i been invested in dewalt for over 20years and never never had any failures. Milwaukee is good but didn't get in the cordless game until about 8 10 years now. These new guys that hate on ya bc they just got in the game and have Milwaukee dont understand those things. Good video tho broski
Dont argue with these idiots. Dewalt been ruling the construction game for over 20 years and Milwaukee just enter the game about 8 10 years ago. All these newbie guys are hard for they're red rockets lol@@GottiRC
my guy is holding a grenade that will explode at any moment while saying “dewalt tough” knowing the tool itself is damaged along with “bet you milwaukee can’t do this”. milwaukee tools would melt nor explode like dewalt tools 😂
Milwaukee is probably better in terms of power. Also to be fair that DeWalt battery looks like only 2 out of the whole pack so it's probably just gonna make it last shorter.
@ToolswithSoAlz pay attention: this is how we see who's is better, real world performance! , not some mouth breather in his garage fumbling around with screws trying to say which one is better. Guys right let's see a Milwaukee do that!
In defense of The Tools with Soalz, he does stress test on a thick solid piece of lumber with massive long screws which do apply excessive strain on the drill, both mechanical and on the housing which will generate tremendous heat, in which a drill can either burn up or plain out fail. What you saw here is years of use and excessive heat that made this thing blow up.
First of all that's an impact and second of all, Your drill did not explode. The battery that was attached to the drill exploded and you were lucky enough to have still had a connection and power running through it. Had the battery not kept a connection your drill wouldn't work till you removed and replaced the battery but even a $20 drill could survive the battery exploding as long as only the battery was affected and it didn't break anything on your drill as depicted here
Do you just scroll the internet looking for videos to trash on because you have nothing better to do. I think you will find Reddit to be a more suitable place for you.
Lol i use dewalt because they were the ones that happened to be on sale when my old drill and driver shat the bed. They work perfectly fine and do what they are suppost to do. Haven't failed yet. 3 years daily work. 5ah battery packs. I would probably say the same thing for any other set that may have been the ones on sale. (Other than cryobi. They suck)
Milwaukee is owned buy TTI which is a Hong Kong based company that started in the 80s so unless you got Old Milwaukee tools everything you got is from China DeWalt is working on getting all the manufacturing processes back into the United States
Impact driver not drill. And I bet if a Milwaukee was left in the exact same conditions & got the exact same effect, it would still outperform the dewalter
