Pedro Neto is pure quality but no secret his injury record. Mbuemo may not be the fancy name people want but he is exactly what we need. Goals, assists, work rate and will play more than Neto. Mbuemo would fit an Eddie Howe Newcastle side like a glove.
@@jonathanauty4861 They wouldn't use him enough for him to gain a great deal of experience, we only see the good parts of minteh, and yes they are great. He does however give the ball away frequently during a game (a few Dutch fans will confirm im sure) which will improve I'm certain but not enough that a top side loan spell will give him enough game time.
Mbuemo seems like a decent shout. He doesn't seem to be a big enough name to have Chelsea trying to buy him yet 😅. His stats are better than Almiron's, and he's more versatile too.
I think we will end with very few signings. It looks like we are having trouble attracting people to join. Maybe it's wages, maybe it's the fact we aren't able to grow as fast as we want because of ffp. I'm worried we are struggling with our main targets we will end up with 3rd of 4th options on the list. We were absolutely wasting our time going for Olise. We didn't stand a chance. We are not there yet. We can't attract that level of established player at the moment. Right now, the only way we can do it is to identify that level of player while they are very young and before they attract attention. We did that with Isak.
We all know it’s early in the transfer window and Newcastle are probably viewing players that they want. I can’t help feeling that we won’t get players needed to boost the areas where we struggled last season. There has been no talk of getting rid of Callum Wilson, Miggy, etc so we can hopefully have funds in the kitty to buy a couple of decent players that’s if they want to come to Newcastle? So I’m on the fence with this on.
Sign Mbuemo, keep Minteh. Sell Miggy and Wilson, buy a new striker and tell sky sports to do one for always saying we need to sell players. They just hate that we’re trying to compete now!
I have followed Neto for the last four years. From what I have seen, he has worked too hard for Wolves, hence the injuries. Slow him down, and he will potentially become a world-class player. Would love to see him at Newcastle. Sadly, I think Arsenal will win him over. If he did come, what you have to remember is Howe and Co Are and have proven to be phenomenal coaches.
Makes no sense that we need to sell mintah for 25mill to balance the books but we will pay 60mill for Neto how does that work I say stick with minteh play him on the right wing and sell miggy
All media driven and at no point have the club said anything about Minteh other than Howe wanting to take a look at him pre-season and take it from there. I wouldn't pay much attention to it.

@TheDefJamm I have. I still wouldn't write him off though. With better medical staff and physicians, quality coaching and a better team around him, he could turn out alright.. the guy can play ball and his pace is incredible
Did last season not teach Eddie a damn thing, stay away from Injury prone players, if there previous teams cant keep them fit then our clowns with stethoscopes have no chance of keep them fit. Have our scouts had their passports confiscated or something, always shopping the PL is not good value, why not scout the German/Italy/Spain leagues for talent

There is no world that exists where we're competing with Bayern Munich at this stage of our development. We will get there but as it stands that is not our present day reality and will not be for some time. Bayern can offer guaranteed champions league football, last season was a freak for them but they do consistently win silverware whilst we can't even offer Conference League. We're a club caught between places in that we identity ourselves as a club that wants to compete at the upper echelon of the game but we don't yet have the success or prestige to make us part of that club (City, Bayern, Real etc).
