This is why Eddie Howe needs to be sacked. We keep targeting average British players. That Trafford constantly made mistakes throughout the season and effectively got Burnley relegated. We should be selling Nick Pope, keeping Dubravka and signing an elite keeper

Apparently Ramsdale has rejected us already. I am pleased, he is no better than Pope imo. Trafford has potential so could be useful in a couple of seasons, I don't know much about him. Marmalade? don't see him here either, but there are some decent keepers out there
A top keeper is often the difference between a top half or bottom half finish. How many times have Man Utd played shite and had Onana pulled off saves that keep them in the game. Same goes for (as much as i hate to admit it) Pickford at Everton. Mamardashvili would be a long term investment for the future of the club.
Next season we can concentrate on the league & domestic cups. Gives us time to sort out the squad, strengthen & recover. Hopefully less injuries with less games. Can’t wait HOWAY THE LADS! 🖤🤍
Goalkeeper is the most important position imo. I dont mind the Trafford one but if you have a chance to sign a top top keeper i think we should go for it. They dont come up often so id do the Millivanilli deal if we can make it happen. Im also quite worried if Pope will be quite the same after the shoulder injury.
Based on the comments I think most of our fans think the club is Football Manager when you fiddle the editor to get unlimited funds. We can't afford to buy top dollar players in every position so to keep demanding we only buy top players is just divorced from reality. We need to buy young players with potential who Eddie can develop. That's obviously harder to do than what Man U do which is just chuck money around until it works
What’s this fixation with a new keeper. We have more important problems to fix. Namely right wing and back up striker. Play pope and get a new one in Jan if he is injured
Id have him in, forget about Ramsdale. Trafford was mustard in the Georgia Championship the England lads won. Saved a penalty & kept clean sheets throughout the whole tournament.
The Oz trip was as Amanda said an excercise in raising coin it was not about pleasing those disgruntled fans who have the money to travel thousands of miles to then grumble we played the youth team. Personally i wish they stop injecting negativity, yes your loyal fans but see the excerise for what it was, it was souly intended not as a competition of great meanful value, it was to inject much needed coin.
Top teams these days have keepers that can play with their feet so Pope ain’t gonna cut it much longer sadly. I’d 100% go for the new 1st choice option rather than a young back up!
Ramsdale gives me Joe Hart vibes...absolute world beater one game and Sunday League the next. Mamardashvili should be No.1 target. He is far too good for Valencia, and will be at one of the biggest clubs in Europe in the next few years...hopefully us. Trafford has the potential, but GK is a very difficult position to improve as a youngster unless you have insane mentality. One or two mistakes can just ruin your career if you don't have a strong enough mentality.
My choice would be Mamardashvili, Eddie annoys me that he always goes for English players, regardless if their is a better foreign option available like in this case, sooo frustrating, be ruthless Eddie, if you want to manage only English players then take Southgates job. I love pope but he is not getting any younger and he does have a mistake in him, we need someone who doesn't make mistakes.

You've never played in net before clearly. You're dialed in when the ball is in your half but corners at the other end and when you have possession all the time, it gets a bit squirrelly back there waiting...
I’m warning to Trafford I really am. Technically very good, really decent shot stopper. Mama would be the guy but without Europe - no chance. Plus Trafford is FAR better with his feet than Mama
nothing against the lad, but trafford is too small for me as a keeper, he has no real presence in the box and relies very heavily on refs giving him a free kick whenever he gets challenged, and while that's something that can be worked on, we need someone who is 'good' right now with enough room to grow and progress further on, and I don't feel like he has that right now.
Trafford? Are we serious? I’m getting more and more disillusioned with Howe, and the management, if he thinks this journeyman keeper is the answer. Pope is now iffy with his shoulder, it could go again. Any new keeper should be a number 1 Also, looks like Toisin is off to Chelsea, can’t blame him really. I agree that we are linked with a whole host of players who are average at best but in terms of actual signings everyone has turned out to be good (besides Wood). Everyone else has been great - even Hall is starting to come good who I was not at all imprressed by to start with
