this type of review was needed, I just wish you researched a bit more. ex: you can complete a side task to remove the filter in YOTT. Also after about 30 minutes of TTC you really don’t get anymore long annoying cutscenes. and if you played recently you would see that the population is around 100-200 players

You make a good point. They could have done better. But TTR got there first RIGHT after TTO died. So honestly any other servers don’t have a chance with beating TTR

I really don't know how people enjoy ttr. This game brought way better and strategic battling to the game compared to ttr. I haven't played ttr in years but I'm gonna guess it's still just sound spam, which ttcc isnt. Tto tasks were boring and this game made them about as good as they can be with what they are. Also, I think the cosmetic system is a vast improvement and something not mentioned anywhere. I don't see the issue with beans in tasks rewards when the alternative is grinding fishing, and playing the trolley which nobody does for beans. I think the graphics that are improved are much nicer to look at than the total Disney style, like the gags page. I don't understand how the gags can be uncreative, I think they naturally fit. Like, why is a bowling ball so uncreative compared to a sandbag and a weight? Just a random collection of thoughts after watching this video. I was an alpha and beta tester of ttr, so I'm not just blindly hating, I genuinely enjoyed my experience through ttccs story and new gameplay features and fixes, the only thing that really hurt it was the lack of players which isn't the games fault. I'd rather have new stuff than the exact same experience again, even if it's not perfect.

I feel like you were too harsh on clash considering you haven’t bothered getting far in the game, which has the more fun parts. Especially now with the new updates the game has gotten. For example: - sky clan - department xp levels - gag presets - tweaks to gags - taskline revamp - outback species/event - break the law (ongoing event) - daily/weekly tasks - toonseltown event - new years event

Here are a few problems with this video: You keep saying that the game focuses on the taskline when really it doesn't. If you wanna golf you can golf, if you wanna race, you can race, so on and so forth. Corporate Clash even made boss suits accessible from doing facilities so now everything is like the Sellbot suit, so bosses aren't even out of the question (although you may have to grind gags in order to be able to actually complete it). The new leveling up systems means you will never have to do a single task in the game and the only thing you'll miss is 4 minibosses. You can't hold the population against clash for having problems with getting groups, they can't directly increase the population (they can indirectly with updates.) The stability and textures along with the staff taking some unneeded blows at other servers I do agree is childish although it's not the first time we've seen this. At least clash isn't completely jamming it right in your face unlike Slate with ToonTown ReStolen (or ReHacked, I forgot which one) or Joey saying before clash came out that they only cared about quantity (which I'm not saying he's wrong, but he still shouldn't have tweeted that. And as for your point that it's not reaching out to get new players from outside the TT community, it shouldn't be because no ToonTown server is going to be able to do that from their advertising and their display. Anyone who originally didn't play ToonTown but now does was told by a friend. Is it reaching out to mainly experienced players? Yes! And that's what a fan server should do, please the fans of the game, not try to make a new one. I know from your other videos you talk about the development of Underfell a lot and that game is reaching out to people who have played Undertale, and if people didn't like Undertale they aren't going to like Underfell.

I think this video covers a lot of points I agree with. Clash is a game that is very low quality, I had crashed in Ye Olde TT on my Windows 7, and I couldn't progress, and all I got when I tried showing why I crashed they said it was just my PC even though I had the requirements to play the game. (I got a new PC later on) And on the community side, it feels like if you defend TTR once you will be torn into pieces.

You attribute malintent to the people you’re criticizing at the end of the video, rather than taking a much simpler position that they’re just doing what they want instead of making the hard decision required for a group project to work.

If you have just learned about Clash via this video, just know this review is very outdated. Clash's state today does not compare to what it was in late 2018-mid 2019 at all. Clash now has the (O)CLO, Cheating Bosses/Managers, many QOL improvements and other fun little things. I kind of wish that the video's creator would make it more clear that this is an old review. (I know there is an update in the description, but still.) I do agree that an updated review would be good to see, although I would be fine without it.

This is an alright review but that quote at the end hurt me. They didn't rush it. In fact it came out a month or two late because they didnt want to upload an unfinished game. It had some bugs but those were patched up pretty quick and were mostly because of all the players. The rest of the vid is pretty accurate tho. Little tip if you still play it btw, there's a side quest in YOTT that lets you remove the filter.

I do have to stress that you forgot that you can turn off the filter after a certain point in The Old Toontown playground.

The game has garbage frame rate too. Compare the system spec requirements of CC to TTR and just let that settle.

I think we don't have to choose. Both games put in hard work and they should both me appreciated. Even tho i play TTCC, they both amazing to me. Any TTO fans out there? no ttr doesnt update anymore change my words..

I have been playing TTO since I was 3 with my mother. When it closed, I was on toonbook and had an eye on toontown rewritten as soon as the creators of toonbook announced they were making it. I earned an alpha key, and played TTR from the start. I still play it to this day because it is literally TTO, and that's all I want. I also had a key in corporate clash, and I have played it once and have neglected it. Although it is interesting, it isn't what I want in a toontown remake since its TOO different. TTR although vanilla to TTO is still always going to maintain popularity due to the amount of new toons each day, amount of consistent players, and amount of people who loved TTO.

Were Underfell???

If you just complain that TTC is slow then you're just bad at the game honestly. It legit takes 2 weeks max to get to the Brrrgh and yet on TTR you have like 200 cogs tasks, not here. On TTR you need 7 factories to get max merits however on TTCC a single Full Factory gives you 2350 merits. Which game the most grinding one?To be fair, the only long playgrounds that are grindy are the Brrrgh and Drowsy Dreamland. The only tasks with NPC's animations are in TTC (there might be one or two outside of TTC) I've been playing since the launch and it took me only 5 months to max and I'm not even playing it all day. The main problem of the game is the staff itself being garbage. Lack of content, no memory leaks fixed (even after a said patch), 1.1 taking too long to get released, banning people non-sensely, lack of IN-GAME RULES. Yes that's it, there are no in-game rules and that's why the game is leading to a dead end. The team lacks of actual Developers, but rare are those that actually applied. Most of the people (mainly randoms that doesn't even have 10 messages on the Discord server) gets accepted as moderators or even friends from the core staff. The support team is useless and barely helps you, half the creative team is there just for decoration and a good chunk of the moderators are just brainwashed idiots that acts like Mr Justice, giving their own rules. Sincerly, someone that got warned for saying "It requires 2 neurons to use zap" PS: I'll probably edit this message a lot

The game feels very grindy, like it forces you to do all this boring stuff with the taskline to progress its why I barley play it. I wanted to like the game but it really did drag a lot. I can sadly see this game dying soon.

First off i'm not gonna argue with you but just want to clear up a few things, The bugs regarding streets and much else have been fixed, new content is added , the cutscenes were thrown in to try to livin the story from just text and maybe a occasional prolouge and the flippy = war thing was to branch out from other servers using the same things as an introduction. ( Also you can remove the black and white texture by doing a toontask bro. Maybe look back at the game and see how its grown? (also before you ask the game has a fairly good amount of players.) I am no way byist to this game but just want to justify a few complaints.

This game has really bad moderating, i got banned and the reason: Pewdiepie. Im not even lying that was the reason it said i got banned

10 months later as I'm writing this (or whenever this was uploaded) this video still holds up, especially in terms of gameplay and community. Any recent update they've shat out barely worked to begin with (yes, especially the Halloween 2019 update). With updates that are supposedly leading to 1.1, the population only goes up briefly before plummeting down to its regular 60-100 population, making it as dead as it was 10 months ago. Not only that, but the entire server crashes almost twice a day, despite its low population. Obviously, they have never bothered to fix optimization, therefore, the issue of low FPS and high RAM usage exist to this day. Community wise, as well as its Discord server, is still garbage, no matter who you're playing with (if you can even find people to play with, let alone enjoy being with them in the first place). While I've enjoyed playing Clash alongside its visual improvements, I've lost my shred of hope for the game, as well as its community. At this point, it's literally their own game, let them do what they want whether it either helps or hinders them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ _p.s. Seems like this could've been a better game than the original it just has some (or lots of problems) that could improve the game significantly.

Pretty good review. Though, I disagreed with your point that they innovated the gameplay in the wrong way in terms of gags b/c in my opinion, lv 7s were a bit op and, from the knowledge that I have now, the TTCC lv 8s are less powerful than level 7s, which is a step in the right diection IMO. I would elaborate more, but my comment is long enough as it is.

Literally only Toontown central has those animations due to the games story being done in a new way. Only Toontown Central, The rest do not. Ye Old Toontown has a task to change the filter. Do it, and turn it off. Easy as opening your eyes and getting the toontask. And comparing it to a game that’s been out for about 6 years is good too. Compare them when TTCC when they actually have a year or so under their belt. Let’s all remember this game is actually nonexistent to many people. So Dumpstering ideas and new ways to play means you’re stuck with the 1 version you dislike but still continue to play. The servers are pretty bad but in 2013-2014 TTR’s servers were so horrible I left the game and stopped playing it. Sooo if that’s a reason to call it a bad game then definitely wait 6 years to call it that because TTR needed that much time to optimize their servers. If anything It’s in the same boat as TTR and when a few years pass (If the community doesn’t kill theirselves because every new thing is bad) It’ll be optimized and people will hate it and look for a brand new experience. There’s a reason why TTR isn’t the only server because it’s old and boring. Literally just a copy and paste and I played Toontown Online since launch. I dont need the same 1998 quality content, I live in 2019. If I have to wait 6 years to have a optimized game then Look You TTR fans know the pain as well. Remember TTR was just a dream back then, and now there’s around 1000 people constantly playing it. I am annoyed people can’t just come together add make 1 big Toontown game together with all these great ideas. it’s not like we have billions of players. there’s literally a few thousand, if that. Maybe in a few years nobody will play it. maybe it Corporate Clash will steal all the playerbase, who knows. But nothing is going to get done with used assets. we need a “toontown” like game with original assets otherwise a game like this wont thrive. If I cant support by buying currency to get clothing(instead of using jellybeans) the games can only last so long. We need something like this or for the community to come together and buy the assets from Disney so we dont get sued for making money with it. Pretty Sure disney doesn’t give a fuck about games because they toss them around like they come and go. I’ll definitely donate money for that cause to buy it from Disney(If they even still own it in anyway). Otherwise I’m going to play some Mario games because they arent going to die out in the next 10-20 years.

Moral of the video: go play ttr if you want to have fun But for real though the community needs to rally around a single project and ttr is the closest thing there is to a unified community for this game. Corporate clash is going nowhere and seems to just be the pet project of like a dozen hardcore fans, their assets and skills would be better used to help the Rewritten team get to the point where they can finish the base game and get to adding new content, I feel like the only thing that should undeniably be changed in the base game is streamlining it so it's not as grindy but new playgrounds and a new gag track sound pretty tits and should definitely be pursued.
