In January 2020 I registered into the Paris Marathon to help raise money and awareness for Alzheimer's Society, as my Grandad suffers from late-onset dementia.
I struggled with depression in 2019, I didn't have any creative outlet or hobbies outside of work to focus on. I can genuinely say running has changed my life. For the past 22 months, I've been training consistently, even with multiple postponements and cancellations. I've uncovered a huge passion for becoming a faster, more well-rounded runner and athlete, and starting my own RU-vid channel off the back of this.
This race was my first race for 11 years, since school when I was 14.
The 2021 Paris Marathon taught me that you truly never know what you're capable of. The result of this marathon blew my mind.
It has never been my goal to boast or brag about my results, it has always been to inspire. I'm not an incredibly gifted athlete, if I can do it, you can too. All it takes is consistency and discipline. Show up, especially if you don't feel like it and find pleasure amongst the suck.
I hope you enjoy the video!

I'm a sub 2:40 marathoner with interests in all disciplines of functional fitness, martial arts and holistically strengthening the mind to improve physical performance.
I will be running the 2021 Paris Marathon on 17th October, representing Alzheimer's Society in the hope of generating money, which will fund more vital research to be done in helping scientists to understand dementia and hopefully taking them one step closer to finding a cure.
