I have had the Corgeut Aqua Terra homage in blue for about a year, and I absolutely love it. I starts ticking the second I pick it out of the box, screw down crown, and that dial! It's beautiful. I wear mine on a Geckota, distressed leather strap (that cost more than the watch) and it's great! All the while I'm saving for the real thing I find myself regularly coming back to this one!

Disagree, these are all cheap and low quality watches. Why would you buy something crappy when you can save up for a nice but still relatively cheap watch like a Steinhart, Christopher Ward, Farer, Halios, Nodus, Zelos etc. that will last for decades.

I am new to this hobby and new to your channel. Watches have always been a challenge for me because I have a 9" wrist. I really like your discoveries for guys like me. I'm going to make two purchases from this list. First, I can see the "Cadisoak" on my wrist during an evening out with my wife. (That is, when things are back to normal and we are able to have an evening out.) Second, the Abalone Dive Watch will be my new watch for Cars and Coffee when things get back to normal. My car is different and now my watch will be different. Thanks Jody.

Thanks Jody for alerting me to the Lobinni Interlaken 6498. While It did take 4 months to arrive in Melbourne the long wait was well worth it as it is now one of my favourite watches, which is saying a lot as I have over 70. It is an excellent 'homage' to the iconic IWC Portuguese "F A Smith" version circa 1970 and the Seagull ST3621 movement is a brilliant copy of the beautiful original IWC 98290. I say 'brilliant' as it not only looks very similar to the original movement but the accuracy of my watch is outstanding ... just over one second a day!

I picked up the Lobinni watch and it arrived yesterday. What a beautiful watch with: sapphire crystal, stunning manual Seagull movement and a lovely, supple leather strap with quick release pins. Highly recommended even if it is a tad large...

I've got the obligatory AliExpress styrofoam block that arrived in the post a few days ago containing four watches. Hate to say it but I've been waiting on plenty of AliExpress merch since early January. 4-6 weeks is a pipe dream for most items at this stage. No disaster to wait longer of course, but worth keeping in mind. In today's world you may be waiting 3-4-5 months

Thanks Jody! - I peeled the stickers off my SeaGull 1963 on Monday. I LOVE it & I have an 8 1/4" wrist - so don't be put off fellow big guys. It wears fine... (I paid $145AUD! - from the very same shop about a month ago). It came with a free leather strap - of dubious quality, but hey...for the price 🙂). It was supposed to also come with an extra embossed solid steel caseback with that famous Red Star!, but they emailed me to say 'no more solid case backs. Would you like to cancel your order? "NO" I screamed in reply. For you Americans $145AUD = $90USD!

Atheist Orphan definitely. I wish more were into rose gold watches. All my favourite watches sadly don’t have rose gold options even a gold option would do. Those colours go well with my darker skin tone. Let’s hope they consider releasing one with this watch.

The seagull is cheaper than having a chronograph serviced. The rumour is that Seagull did not just buy the movements from Swiss supplier Venus (Valjoux owned) they bought the tooling and made the movements in house. This particular movement is based on the Venus 175 made for the Breitling Chronomat.

Venus went broke and sold the toolings and machining for the Venus 175 directly to the Tianjin factory (Later named Sea-gull). Hi Jody,really enjoying your channel. I've just started wearing my late Father's watch,I'm guessing it's from the 70s it's a Swiss Empower deluxe 25 jewel Incabloc ,can you tell me anything about them? It's not really to my taste Gold plated however the accuracy is amazing, easily as good as my GMT 11.i know it wasn't particularly expensive when new and know it will have little value now,not that I would sell it due to sentimental reasons.

I have the Corgeut Aquaterra homage. It looks nice especially for the price. The bracelet has some sharpish edges and tends to come undone easily. Biggest issue is the seconds hand runs into the minute hand and stops occasionally. I plan to take it apart and fix that though.

I'd recommend avoiding the Corgeut because I had issues with the one I ordered last summer and their after sales has been awful. There was fluff caught under the glass, plus a hand fell off and they are still refusing to replace the watch. I'm thoroughly scared of ordering from Ali Express after this.

Next time dispute it on Ali Express straight away - i have found Ali Express to be extremely buyer friendly in the past. Pagani Design gave me a full refund on a watch when a hand had come off in transit and i raised a dispute.

I promised myself "Only one!" and I'm sticking to it. I went with the Pagani Daytona because I've had my eye on it for a while now. Next time it's going to be the North Edge Apache. Oh, my Skmei arrived a few days ago and I absolutely love it. I think it may be the best watch under $50 that I've ever owned.

Jody i hope you do a review on the first cadisen to get your amazing opinion. I just go got the cadisen "oak" come in today. Solid build, not as big as i thought it would be on wrist, the look and finish of the case, dial, and strap is amazing for the price, and the reliable nh35a is always a bonus. The only niggles i have though are the mineral glass and the really sharp edges and corners on the metal bracelet.

I'd like to add that I have had the Loreo submariner for about 5 months now and I've beat the hell out of it and it's still going strong. It's real sapphire, water resist seems accurate or at least I've had no problems (haven't pressure tested it). hell of a value.

One of the pictures of the Cadisoak says the diameter is 43mm, and the lug to lug is 46mm. I think this is probably correct and someone just messed up the description.

In the photo with the specs for the 'Cadisoak' it says it is actually 43mm case diameter with a 46mm lug to lug, a little mor manageable if true...

yeah I saw that as well but it does say 46mm in the spec sheet...plus the video makes it look like a dinner plate. Shame, 43mm would have piqued my interest as well

As always, great enjoyable video. I recently ordered a Seagull Business hand-wind model for $120 and one of the 28,800 hi-beat Starking watches; the ultra thin model. ordered both from Aliexpress, and the shipping does take a long time; it took 25 days for the Seagull to arrive. I am still waiting for the Starking, and it was ordered on the 17th of March.

Great review as always. Jodi, you are such an enabler! However, I have the blue face Corgeut (omega railmaster homage) and it is beautiful. Runs at about +2 secs/day (I got the Myota). Saphire crystal and at 40mm, it's the perfect size for my 6.75" wrist. Get it on the bracelet because it's pretty good quality with screw links.
