What's wrong with Walmart? Or Harbor Freight? Or Ace Hardware? I prefer Amazon for same day free shipping, competitive prices, and an absolutely astoundingly good consumer first return policy. But if eBay is your thing--your money, your hobby--do your thing.
@@RCVideoReviews Sorry, my bad. Yes and all the other suppliers not just eBay. Yes Amazon my offer great delivery times, but to say Thier prices are competitive and good is nothing but a joke. Scamazon more like. But each to Thier own i guess.
I'm going to pin this so the millions and millions of people who chose Amazon everyday for service AND PRICE, will see your warning they are being ripped off. I just want to ensure those of us too stupid to comparison shop and evaluate prices from site to site have visibility to your fact driven guidance.
If you are going to do any soldering, you need a solder station with ajustable heat range. I use mine for so many projects , not just RC. Those helping hands are also a must have item. I also found a rechargable power screw driver to save my hands. Those tiny little kit style screw drivers are worthless. Like my dad said, investing in good tools is not only a time saver, but saves your hands and prevents hurting yourself. Good video!
I've had my toolbox for almost 20 years now. It goes with me to the field and has proved invaluable to me and other club members! It has torques, Alan Keys, various sizes of pliers, super glue and much more. You can't work on heli's, my addiction, without the proper equipment!
I've been using these "GUM Interdental Brushes" for scrubbing the PCB after soldering, to clean off all the flux residue. They're supposed to be for flossing but they are REALLY great for cleaning tight areas with alcohol.
I used to build electric skateboards, so when i got into fpv, the building, soldering and programming is very similar just in a smaller scale for fpv so i already had most of the tools i use to build. Great video John, saved some in my Amazon list to purchase.
I use magnifying glass w/ lights as well so I have this type that has also a pair of 'helping hands' (alligator) integrated into them. Also a blue silicon work mat with magnetic pockets to secure screws too. A couple of sticky tack or clay to secure FC/ESC when soldering if the helping hands is too bulky on my desk. Nice review! Gotta look for that thingiverse version of wowstick screw box.
Great video!!! Excellent content and prices very affordable. Im just getting into rc hobby I’ve seen some vids where every item on the list is over $100 ridiculous. im literally going to get at least 7 items from list. Thank you!!!!
just as a warning to you guys, beware that Hakko soldering stations are one of the most counterfeit brands. only buy one from an authorized retailer. the fakes are hard to spot until you open the unit. also, ryobi makes a $25 lithium ion drill/screwdriver that's excellent for RC cars etc.
@@RCVideoReviews I did notice that. I thought i'd share this info because someone might see one listed for $70 and think it's a good deal but end up with a fake. the fake seems to work ok for everyone who made a video about them. but for that kind of money a fake is a ripoff. hakko used to have a warning on their site about counterfeit products.
Definitely--sunlight is the best disinfectant. Good for people to be aware and get the real deal. I try to be careful with my links. Don't want to send folks to a ripoff.
