Actually, the chances of you being chased by an alligator on land are highly unlikely. Alligators don’t really like to run long distances, and although they can travel very quickly in the water, they are typically slower moving on land. However, even with their heavy bodies and slow metabolisms, alligators are capable of short bursts of speed that can exceed 30 miles per hour. Agnas McCallum in my opinion it’s the most fun sport you could play with a small group of friends. Get a group of 4 together and you’ll have a lot of fun. It’s mainly a sport for older guys who aren’t able to be as active anymore. Glad I learned how to play it when I was younger because it sure is fun. A relaxing sport you can just sit back, talk, and golf

A few years back the US Senior Open was here in Colorado at the Broadmoor Hotel. During one of the rounds a bear politely walked across the fairway. Was a great laugh for everyone.

I was watching a PGA Australia event a few years ago when the tournament had to be halted in the middle of play for a time due to a huge mob of kangaroos that had appeared and spread around the course. They were on fairways, greens and cart paths. It was funny to see the disinterest at moving off the course on the part of the kangaroos! The commentators were laughing and chuckling the whole time, too.

USGA Rules of golf Rule 9.6: "If it is known or virtually certain that an outside influence (which a bird would fit the definition) lifted or moved your ball, there is no penalty. The ball must be replaced on its original spot (which if not know must be estimated)."

The gator is a paid actor, presumably by a footwear brand with similar visual logo. Jokes aside, that big gator looks pretty chill. He's like "don't mind me folks, just strutting around here. Keep on playing with your balls" or something.

andyt2k it goes back to the original spot at which it quit rolling/having motion, or, where it touched down if the rolling was impeded.

andyt2k it’s a bit of both. In a championship/televised tournament, the judges on the ground have the choice of looking at camera footage. However. That is rare. The official would examine the lie (position of the ball) and determine at which point it should be re-positioned. They are trained and very experienced people and are there, specifically, to uphold the rules; including questions of ball position. Ie: your ball bounces and rolls to a stop next to a tree, or your ball goes into the water hazard. If it’s just a round between friends, it would be a matter of Mutual agreement.
