Personally I couldn't bother watching more than 20 episodes of Black Clover... even though it's _"my type of fantasy"_ their mc is just... such a big moron, and the social dynamics are... disturbingly overwhelmingly always positive. I've forced myself to watch a couple dozen episodes because the story is good, but the character development might as well not exist. For Guilty Crown... well, I never got past episode 3... for whatever reason, it seems alright, more than alright actually, but I don't have any interest in this "techno-magic" thing... they have going on. Assassination Classroom... I'll probably never watch, for being a specific type of show, so I can't personally judge it.
I know it's a little different but shouldn't Sung Jinwoo from Solo Leveling be on here somewhere? He was so weak he got terribly hurt in every gate he entered even the weakest ones. He couldn't do anything. He eventually becomes stronger than gods and controls everything in an entire universe. While he was granted the ability to achieve godlike powers by a Monarch they weren't just given to him. He still had to work his ass off and complete quests (many that required him to become a gym freak) in order to achieve his absurd strength. He had an obvious advantage over other hunters in his verse but so did most of the characters on this list. If Asta hadn't been granted his black clover grimoire none of the training he did would have allowed him to become relevant. So Sung Jinwoo should have definitely been on this list! For those that argue his strength at the end of season 1 in the anime (since this video is based on the anime rather than the manwa) at the start of the Igris fight you're correct, he was only a low/mid A rank hunter. But after beating him and gaining Shadow Monarch and the ability to Summon Igris and other shadows to fight for him, he'd be pushed into the S rank tier. So at the end of Season 1 he'd be one of only 10 S ranked hunters in the world. Should definitely qualify as OP.
You're absolutely right! In fact, I first watched the anime movie back in the late eighties when it came out on VHS and I still have that tape to this day it was my first real anime purchase along with Vampire Hunter D and the excellent horror anime Wicked City
