I just turn 65 few days ago and that's the sound of my younger years. I feel blessed to grew up with this great music. And I'm really happy to see, there's another generation of musician keep this music alive. Pierre Edel, Marie Eve Fournier and Will Barber are my Top 3. The sound of the 70ies will never die.
For those of you who don't play, there is a reason you don't hear Dyer Straights covered in a bar band, It's because they were super talented guitarists! Not many players can play that style! This is an honorable cover, remake, reproduction! They do justice to the skills of the original artists, and yet they make it their own. Well done! I'd buy this, knowing full well it's a cover song, but the way they twisted it up makes for a great metal song! In my day we did "Papa was a rolling stone" in a similar style, and people loved it. We never recorded it! Don't need too! It was an honor to ad something to such a great song!
They're called Dire Straits and honestly, I can fully agree! most pub bands interpret their styling making it sound terrible, however Leo Moracchioli can literally make ANYTHING sound awesome
I totally freakin agree! But on the other hand, I like it a little on the HEAVY FUCKING METAL side! Such as the good wholesome "FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH"/ Slipnot, Korn, etc. Long live the darker side of life!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Sultans of Swing .. As a musician myself and as a music lovers perspective, this is badass .. I will download this song into my personal music to rock out to .. Very talented people there and great taste in music ...
All very great performances! But I must admit that watching both Keith & Harry's reaction to KISS made my night! Music is the ONLY medication that one should self-medicate with. Peace to all!
He's awesome 🤘🏼 I can't enjoy Toto's "Africa" anymore, without that outro from them 😄 I got some Tickets for a show in April after watching for almost 3 years 🤘🏼🎶🐰
I like - Leo Moracchioli + Mary Spender - Sultans of swing - Dire Straits This song should win a grammy. holy crap man this song is beast - and LOVE the video.!!
This was one of the best collection of rock auditions I’ve watched, most of them I’ve not seen before, I like that !!!! You just earned a new SUB !!! Best version of Sulton of Swing ever !!!!
Kiss to this day has been one of the most well known and most legendary bands to this date. If you have not seen them perform you need before they finish thier tour!! They will definitely be worth watching!!!
The last concert I saw was KISS (Feb 2019) right before COVID shut everything down, - whew!! I had always wanted to see them and they were GREAT! I had promised my 10yr old grandson I would take him (even had our tickets already) but he ended up in the hospital for 2 months and couldn't go. He was so disappointed, as was I, because I know how badly he wanted to see them and I wanted to share that experience with him. That was supposed to be their final tour but I'm hoping not, so my grandson will still get a shot at catching their show. EVERYONE should get to see KISS at least once in their lifetime! KISS fans should see the movie Detroit Rock City also. It's one of my favorite movies.
Agreed. Not a metal fan, but that was really well done all the way around. She kept the original feel and he made it their own, and the video humor made for a great blend. Impressive.
Saw dire straits in ‘84 or ‘85, honestly can’t remember the year but it was a great show, that said , this two doing sultans of swing was a fucking excellent version..nailed it
Not really sure Frog Leaps Studios, Sultans of swing, is an audition but love their stuff none the less. If you liked Leo or metal or cover songs made into metal, highly recommended.
Uhmagawd, Marie-Eve.... She's on my Playlist now and been on a loop for days now. A.M.A.Z.I.N.G !!!! And of course, Sultans of Swing. Marvin, you know how to pick the most creative musicians. Thank you for all your great videos, watched them all.
I love that song! But, while this version wasn't bad, I didn't care for the comedic edge the band used in the song. And, I'm not sure I want to hear a female voice as the lead on this song, even though there was nothing wrong with her voice.
Paul stanley and Steven Tyler are the greatest front men of all times. They have very unique and distinctive voices. As soon as you hear their first note, you instantly know who it is
