Imagine for a moment that there was a band that had just these 10 songs to their credit. They would have been one of the greatest groups of the era and yet this is just a drop in the bucket of the Beatles work, not to mention their solo efforts. The fist song I ever learned to play on guitar 48 years ago was "And I love her". I still play Beatles songs whenever I need to feel joyous.
Charlie, Brodie Positive vibe and I feel you, dogs!! First song I learnt too. Brisbane, 1980s. Haven’t mastered many of these tracks and watching the Dutchie’s fingers wandering all over the fretboard, I doubt I will. Benny Negative & nasty! Why dude? Didn’t mummy love you? Totally unnecessary. Try to be a better Benny. 😎 Finally for this Dutch (?) maestro’s channel - he’s awesome. Sharp, understated, ridiculously skilful, engaging, great music taste. Please keep it going. 😎

@@JustieCrustie Well.... simply because you can now touch your finger on the time and jump to the relevant song you want to hear. A great help for learning how to play it. Thanks Walmir.. and GP👍😎
Very impressive, does two things for me, makes me realise how much I miss my youth listening to The Beatles, and reminds me how incredibly talented musicians they really were, so far ahead of their time musically.
Hi Tony, thanx for your comment! I will never forget the first time I listened to abey road. I can remember the moment vividly, it totally blew me away! I guess that's my favourite album :)
@@Rawan-kd9vq He means that in nearly every new Beatles album (even as far back as Beatles for Sale (aka Meet the Beatles in the USA) they carried the musical threshold a step further. Between Rubber Soul and Sgt. Peppers they carried the threshold a staircase further.
Absolutely!!! The warmth, the light, even the smell dammit :) !!! I love that the Harrisongs are pretty visceral in a way that you physically feel what they meant. the other one that hits it is "My Sweet Lord", it is as if it says god is IN the music (of course no matter what ones beliefs are, it's about the music).
I totally agree. Acoustic guitar playing has no real appeal because it is like flat ginger ale; no dynamics; no pedals, but this man (whom I've never seen or heard of before today,) has such a lyrical and dynamic style of playing that suddenly I'm interested in acoustic guitaring! (Color me SHOCKED!!!) Seriously, he's fabulous. (You can always tell the good ones; they can play bathtub stoppers and it sounds awesome.)
@@Brembelia Not got a problem with a preference on electric/acoustic. But to suggest that acoustic guitar playing (particularly fingerstyle) is flat and has no dynamics is downright ignorant.
Your guitar playing technique coupled with your great taste in music were a joy to listen to while feeling that soothing effect of the sound you've made. You are in touch with the Beatles' spirit. You are a born entertainer. Thank you
These songs bring back cherished memories for sure.Music has certainly changed and I think most of the greatest writers and composers have left us.I have listened over and over to you playing.Thanks.
I admire your ability to play these songs. Contrary to some of the comments, they are NOT easy. Thank you for sharing them with us. I'm trying to learn some of those very songs. Keep it up and look forward to future videos of yours.
I can play pretty much all of these songs to a passable level, but Michelle has always eluded me. I think it's one of the most complicated of all Beatles' tunes!
What an excellent choice of acoustic Beatles songs. I especially liked the George Harrison "While my guitar gently weeps" acoustic version. Never heard it before. Goosebumps! Thank you for that!
What a sound you are getting on "Here Comes the Sun." As soon as you said "one of the more difficult acoustic" and "written by George Harrison," I knew what was coming. Beautifully done!
Jeebus. Beatles songs are beautiful. I've loved them since I was a wee kid, and songs like Here Comes the Sun still can bring a tear to my eye. Greatest. Band. Ever.
Absolutely outstanding! Thank you very much Guitar Pilgrim for taking the time and effort in doing this and for sharing it with us. Very much appreciated my friend!

Timeless and magnificent works of art each and every one. When it comes to the Beatles music,I’m hard pressed to choose a favorite.Great video, thank you.
This is really great! I became a musician because of the Beatles and now, sitting home, I started playing guitar again and it was very inspiring watching you play these amazing songs. Thank you for that video!
Brilliantly played!... Excellent left and right hand co-ordination.It's never easy playing lead and rhythm together, but you managed it really well.Hat's off to you!
As good as the playing is on this video, Harrison's solo acoustic version even has more sparkle to it. His pull-off riffs and far away voice are almost other-worldly.
Thanks, Thom. The Beatles and those beautiful melodies. Still haunted by the memory of John's death. I was just 13 and can remember it like it was yesterday. "You may say I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope someday you'll join us And the world will be as one." 🎶☮️🌎

Great shit bro. It’s cold and rainy in Missouri right now. Nothing better than learning Beatles acoustic songs. You’re a great player and teacher. Thank you!
Where were you when I was younger and playing the guitar? I’m pushing 75, hung up my guitar years ago. Imagine what I could have played with your instructions. Seriously, keep up your fantastic videos. I’m tuning in to you, if for nothing else, nostalgia. Thanks.
Yes and it’s great to hear the acoustic guitar so clean the plate of itself. Because The recorded versions have so much more that you miss out and just how great the guitar by itself is.
As a non musician, with our tech now...how it must feel to close ones eyes and replicate these beautiful sounds ...hearing Paul or John as almost they r only a arms length away.... goosebumps
I've been playing and singing these songs for almost fifty years and your fine playing has inspired me to tighten up my arrangements of these beautiful songs and start playing out more. Thank you!
Great job on these. Glad to see "Mother Nature's Son" made your list; great playing on that one. You nailed "Here comes the sun," too. For "Yesterday," perhaps you should have mentioned that McCartney tuned down a full step for it, so it sounds in F, even though the fingerings are in G.
If you know the history of 60S pop rock music, you know the Wrecking Crew 'made' a lot of bands and a lot of songs. Time after time they tuned up and produced hits two, three and four per day. But the amazing thing about the Beatles is simply that they did not need a Wrecking Crew to save their asses from recording bad music. They would practice practice and practice, and work to improve their ability to play their instruments. In the studio they were relentless, performing take after take, sometimes fifty or more until the sound was up to their satisfaction. And that's one reason why they were a great band, because they worked hard to record exactly the sound they wanted to record, in tune and in time, all the parts at once.
Well done, Sir Pilgrim ! - coming from someone who grew up in those times. Yes, I lay in bed at night with my transistor radio and listened to the Beatles when their music was first played in the US. I well remember seeing them on the Ed Sullivan show for the first time. The Martin sounds really good. What model ? What strings ? I will now go and check out your channel....nice to meet you !
Wow,...I love the focus he has playing this tune,....he's so in to it he totally rocks ,...!!!!!.....not only do I love this song, he's so inspiring,....as a guitar player myself I'm moved to rise to the level he has playing for us,....he's really having fun jamming on George's genius,...!!!
Thank you, I really get a lot from watching and listening. I find it extremely helpful but realize that i'm very much behind your level of playing which intern makes some of the songs I would like to play quit challenging but all the more reason I make the effort, because it sounds so good when played properly. Thank you again and keep it up.
I was just watching a video about Sir Paul McCartney at the time when he had just broke up with the band. He started to play and record his own music and everytime magazines like Rolling Stone among others discredited Paul's work, saying it's just lousy. This just because they didn't like Paul since he's the one that broke up with the Beatles. At the end of the video all the interviews to Paul's "Wings" former members, they all couldn't stop calling Paul "pure genius " as they went on the interview , including fifth Beatle George Martin. 🎶👍
very very cool video...helped me learn a song I've wanted to learn for about 30 years...YESTERDAY! Never realized Sir Paul dropped the tuning...no wonder:) brilliant and keep up the good work!!!
what messes my mind up is A) the weird chords and B) Paul played them upside down (left handed). it's like having an ugly dog, shaving it's ass and teaching it to walk backwards...
mr bad example he didn’t play a right handed guitar upside down. There are examples of lefties doing that but Paul had his guitars strung properly and played the chords as anyone else would. If I remember rightly though, the bootleg Beatles ‘Paul’ is actually right handed and taught himself to play left handed to make the band look correct, which blows my mind. Correct me if I’m wrong.
@@MrTommyfellows i have a hard enough time playing some of their chords normally, like they were pulling them out of their arse. well i eat left handed sometimes, but that's just a knife and fork, i had both hands in a cast at different periods of my life, motor cycle accident and other stupid stuff. actually had to write left handed in college for a month, looked like shit LOL
All great songs by the best band ever. You could easily have had “And I Love Her”, “I've Just Seen a Face”, “I Don't Want to Spoil the Party” and a heap of other great songs.
You're absolutely right! I probably should have put 'accros the universe' in there as well, there are so many great songs. The beatles are just the best :)
