Jaba kankava in interview said it happened before when ‘‘twas berry young in soccer match and he didn’t know what to do after that he got very educated in first aid ⛑ and he said that he was the closest that’s why it happened verry quickly he stressed 😩 how knowledge in first aid help in soccer is very important
#1 should be Atlético Nacional refusing the cup and giving the match to Brazilian Chapecoense after almost the entire Chapecoense team died in a plane crash. The team holded a memorial service for the Chapecoense at their own stadium, invited the survivors... The entire fan clubs of Atlético Nacional assisted and chanted Chapecoense as if they were their own team. It was beautiful.
Johan Herrera esa tilde en el "atlético" me dice que puedes entender esto... Pero ok...I did understand everything u wrote #LatinosHablandoIngles... Ok no xD
For those who aren’t sure what exactly happened with the last one, when Gusev got hit he ended up having a seizure & swallowing his tongue. Kankava got bitten while trying to clear his airway. Awesome to see Kankava react so quickly. 😁
Except you can't swallow your tongue. It can fall back as your muscles relax, but actually swallowing your tongue is impossible. I used to work on a neurosurgical ward
Tiara Newberry ok so in the ufc everyone that gets knocked out goes through a near death experience? I don't think so, And I can see clearly what happened he got knocked with flying knee thats actually a real move in the ufc as well. CAPS LOCKKK WARRIOR LOL
I love the ref at number 10. He knows he has to give him a yellow card, but he seems to appreciate the gesture Zlatan is making. Also, Ronaldinho and Puyol have/had the best bromance in football history.
+Wendy K1 someone slammed into him causing him to fall unconscious and "swallow his tongue", basically the tongue falls back and blocks the airway path aka he was choking on his own tongue
The lamb skewer that belongs to Namjoon's seagull epilepsy attack, he was bitting his tongue and that's why one of the players put his hand in his mouth.
As a girl who plays soccer I know from experience that the older and more competitive you get, the less considerate you get towards the other team. I always go out of my way to help someone up if they fell or got hurt, even if they aren't on my team. As much as I love winning, it's just a game. Humans and their health is more important.
Nick t . Yea, Kara Welte is right. The thing that happens is when you have a seizure, your tongue can sort of get in the way of, or block off your throat. Either you're unable to get oxygen or, and this happens quite often, people throw up or sort of foam when they seize. That's why you're supposed to turn them on their side. So if they've thrown up and their tongue is blocking their throat when they try to breathe in they'll suffocate.
What a terrific intuition and quick reaction it takes to do what he did during the last clip. I wouldn't have realized it that quickly, and most people would not even know what to do. Everything went right, and a life was saved that day.
In all honesty I don't watch Football nor do I play it but I Have Respect for the game , Now I know what you guys see in this sport. It's not just about playing it , it's about Loyalty and Respect
If you would watch or play football you would see that this isn't true anymore. Sometimes there are some lights like these but in the most cases, a football player will take every advantage he can get, no matter how unfair it is. Starting from people throwing themselves on the ground on purpose and people injuring good players, so they aren't a danger to shoot goals anymore. I only play football atm and dont watch it, because the game just became so unfair it's a pain to watch. I got many goals against me, because i admitted when i fouled someone (not on purpose of course) or a ball got kicked out and I said i touched it last. I just stay in the hope that when I start playing fair my opponent will do the same, but very sadly this rarely is the case.
I enjoy this more than American football. It's unnecessarily brutal to me whereas this is more about scoring than knocking down as many people as possible.
I actually watched number one on tv and when it all happened I cried.... It was a beautiful moment of SUCH respect and love for someone that they didn't or did know that it brought me to tears.... Wish everyone was this compassionate.... Love thy neighbor.... Live laugh love 🙏
I think Paulo Di Canio should have got a mention. Everton vs West Ham United when he caught the ball to stop play instead of scoring because an Everton player was down.
The goalkeeper accidently knocked the player out with his knee, when someone is knocked out and can swallow their tongue and suffocate themselves, Kankava (the defender for the other team) made sure he didn't suffocate by grabbing his tongue and pushing him onto his front to stop him swallowing it, the player then wakes up and i assume bites Kankava's fingers...but he saves his life.
spencerqaz123 It's technically not swallowing it, but the tongue is a muscle, and muscles can become fully relaxed upon a heart attack, seizures, and even getting knocked out. If the person's head is positioned a certain way it can drop to the back of the mouth, creating an obstruction so air cannot get through the windpipe. So it's not literally swallowing it, but it's just called that instead of having to explain it like that.
It was the opening game between Denmark and Iran in 2003 Carlsberg Cup in Hong Kong. During the overtime in 1. half, the goalkeeper played the ball to his left back who made a pass back to the keeper. A whistle was blown and everyone in the stadium thought that it was half time. Coaches, players, crowd etc all started the half time. The keeper tips the ball up in his hands and the ref blows for a penalty as it wasn't him who made the half time whistle. Because Denmark didn't want to get infront because of this weird / shitty situation, Morten Weighost (player) and Morten Olsen (coach) agreed that he should miss it on purpose as they wouldn't want it to be a match winning goal. Weighost him self is quoted to say " I heard a whistle but it didn't come from the ref. But I didn't thought more about it, turned around and wend towards the tunnel. A few seconds later I hear my teammate Dalgas yelling to me that it is a penalty to us. I get confused and start to look around to see that everybody else was heading for the tunnel. We talk with the ref and we get it sorted out what happened":
I was there during the match. The guy started choking on his own tongue, and Jaba Kankava from the oppenent team saved him by taking his tongue out of his throat (you can even hear how he screams because he got bitten very hard on his fingers while he was saving him 5:08 )
That's what I was wondering. I saw his reaction and was thinking did he get bit or did he just freak because a man is losing his life in front of his eyes?
That's how most people die when they go unconscious. Either the tongue rolls into the back of the throat and they suffocate or the tongue goes just far enough back to trigger the gag reflex causing them to vomit and they'll drown in their own vomit because they can't react to it. That's why it was so smart of him to roll him like that, even if he had a neck injury. Maybe not so fast but hey; I'd rather be paralyzed than dead.
Because there are way more "Beautiful Moments of Respect" in Sports, but this is just a bit Soccer, and maybe some People (including me) expected to not only see Soccer.
The clip of Ronaldo giving the fan "his" shirt bothers me. That muppet of a guy handing him a different shirt and it being made a photo op. What was a genuine gesture ruined by modern day BS. Such a shame
Or look at it the other way. Ronaldo gives a different shirt, because the other was sweaty. Ronaldo takes a picture with the guy so that the guy has a memorabilia.
Diana Buabn he didnt mean to kick him. as a goalie i know how terrible it feels to injure someone (cant imagine what it would feel like to injure someone to the extent of almost taking their life) but people saying stuff like this doesnt make it better.
Goalies always go out knee first to shield themselves from injury and also to intimidate. Top 3 was impressive, the rated 3rd actually unheard of till I saw it here.
Shocked that the following incident didn't make this list: 1992 Belgian Grand Prix. Erik Comas crashed his car at a fast bend, was unconscious and foot still full on the throttle, the car stationery and engine at max rpm, risk of explosion. Ayrton Senna drives by, noticing that his colleague's head is very still, he stops his car on the side of the track, and runs across the track to help. Switches off the engine and stabilized Erik in the car until Doctors arrived... There is a sense of humanity in F1 drivers...
When I was in cross country freshman year I was almost the slowest on the team. When my friend hurt her hip I stopped to help her, and so did three other girls. We helped her walk back to help, then all ran back from very last place. We crossed the finish line together. It was my best time ever by 2 minutes. I still keep in touch with those girls. A second time, a girl got hurt but finished at the same time I did. I ran and got her ice. I used our teams ice to help her. Even if I suffered, I made sure others were okay before I went on. I'm the kind of person I looked up to when I was 5, and I'm so glad.
I'm a Madrid fan, and I've been watching Puyol play for many years and I know that he is one of the most respectful players there has ever been, him and Raul, so no, I don't agree with you, he's always been the type of player to give any opponent the benefit of the doubt, he might of got slapped but he understood that his opponent was just frustrated, so he did not take it personally
If the whole world acted as beautiful as these people and others like them there would be zero need for violence. It really is amazing to see theres good people out there.
for all the people confused on Number 1, the player was knocked out and choking on his tongue. The other player pulled it out his throat and tilted him on his side so if he threw up he wouldn't drown.
I feel as though soccer players r more likely to stop a game and rush to a players aid as soon as they see something out of the usual. I know other athletic sports players would do it too but some of them would see someone down and keep playing until they score.
